He said reunion tracks yes, but was that the one he was really after?

Well regardless of all things previous...

It isn't like people don't have private places to do things like this anyway... I mean most people live in things that they own, where their beds are, and they keep their stuff... they're called houses...

If the hotel isn't being used, then it sounds like that little spot on the map isn't popular enough to warrant having such a building... rather than customizing it into a sex palace... why not build something the place actually needs... or get rid of it and build a park or something...

I don't care what people do to eachother, but I'm pretty sure they don't need a specialized place in order to find other people to do them to... People have been doing all manner of things to eachother for centuries with little need of anything more than some alcohol and a place to call home...

I'm pretty sure, regardless of the reasons, not having a special sex-club isn't going to stop anyone from anything... For instance, not having a special room to piss doesn't stop people from doing it.

It sounds to me that the populace of Gloucester has multiple viewpoints... those who tolerate, and those who don't. In the event that it was built, it has the possibility of creating unnecessary unrest in the intolerant public... which may or may not be the majority... In that situation, it seems like more harm than good.

From a morality or whatever-you-want-to-call-it sense I have no opinion worth making public. Frankly, my opinion doesn't matter in this situation at all...
It's all sort of pointless really.

Ok look.... One Winged Angel is the single most mixed, remixed, rerecorded, revamped, and re-anything-ed track of anything even remotely related to final fantasy...

You are looking for a specific version, by giving only the basic title and where you found it once...

I suggest you go on playlist[dot]com and search for 'one winged angel' and start listening to every single file it finds until you get the right one...

iTunes is for the unenlightened... like WoW... their populartiy is offset by nothing else but their stupidity...

There are the FFVII version, which was a PSX music file with vague clarity but catchy nonetheless...
There is the redacted AC prototype version, it was a full orchestral remake of the PSX version, but, it was scrapped for the metal version...
The metal version used in AC... it was performed by The Black Mages (under their original Japanese name)
The KH version
The KHII version
The innumerable shitty midi versions
The Piano version
and so on

making it lighter would make the effect more opaque, that would be a BAD THING. The lightness is fine. the colors is just too red...

if you post the image itself I can change it easily....

Too red... it isn't supposed to be a gasoline fire... try more orange and yellow.

Well... it looks as good as I can imagine it looking from within the constraints of the game... it is a lousy cylinder effect.... but the texture looks good.

As for the sword, it belongs to Alex, the lead character of one of my games...  but it is the first texture of that type I have done... I used Millenia's tutorial as a rough guide.

Sort of off topic, but as I am also a modeler and working on and off in the model upgrade project as well... (Remember my Rufus model I made and started converting to APZ style?) anyway what do you think of the texture...? (The pommel is terrible, I know.)

I think I don't know enough about how 'affirmative action' is supposed to work to comment.

However, I do not think race should factor into anything... except medicine. Different diseases are more effective on people of certain races, as do different treatments... and thus medicine should follow the most efficient course.

I like it... it reminds me of the Lavos model Ian McConvall made. (Which I have been attempting to recreate for a long time)

It sounds to me like you're getting my point exactly actually.

I know people in wheelchairs... some of them do appreciate a little help, and they will ask for it when needed. I also know some who loathe it when people fall all over themselves to do them service...

The point of my message was that (regardless of whether I got it across properly) help is good, but unwanted/unwarranted help is not doing anyone any favors.

Life is unfair, but it is also unfair to assume that because someone does not look capable, they are not capable. Not everyone without leg movement is truly "disabled". A lot of people have learned to cope, and are just as able as others in their daily activities.

Again, my purpose is to make you think for yourself, and not take everything you see or hear for granted. Sure, if you see a man in a wheelchair struggling to get through a door or something, you can offer to help... but if you see him skillfully open, pass through, and close the door... he probably doesn't need your help.

I suppose what I'm really getting at, is be subtle... don't become a floormat for people to step all over... (walking isn't the only thing people can lose)
If someone obviously needs help, help. If not obvious, you can ask, but don't leap into it without doing so... Just as you would with anyone else... that is my point.

So how many of you immediately thought I was bashing high school arithmetic? One? Two? None? Well if you did then you get a

big fat slap in the face for thinking such garbage!

No my friends (and people I have inevitably alienated, too) I am here to make a point about public service announcements... If you live in America (the north one at the least) and you have a television, you have seen one... likely more. Probably a few of you in those other countries as well, you know I love you too... (more actually... your collective braincell count is higher).

Anyway, these announcements generally involve some message of helping others, like encouraging your "disabled" friends to apply for clubs and activities or possibly something about accepting people who come from different walks of life...

Well you know what?

That is the opposite of equality!

How, in the name of the great, combo breaking Obama(No really that combo needed breaking, this is a complement), is it equal that I should help people with their social lives and free time activities... when I'm NOT encouraged to do the same for the attractive demi-genius girl who's in 3 of my college classes and I actually give a crap about?

Why should I open doors for the guy in the wheelchair, when I don't go out of my way in such a fashion for people I actually know? How is that equal...? Why should I interfere with the lives of the woman with one leg when I wouldn't do the same for one with two? That isn't equal! Equal would be not giving a sh*t about the random crippled man any more than I do the random perfectly un-crippled man...

Also, the term "disabled" is somewhat misleading... being in a wheelchair doesn't necessarily mean you're disabled... For that matter, there are supposedly physically disabled people, who can do a hell of a lot better at physical things than I ever could...

Why aren't there such public service announcements about helping the guy who goes to class every day only to loathe waking up each morning simply due to the monotony and absurdity...?

You want equality? Give us a government grant program that applies to the fat, unskilled, and lazy because they're fat, unskilled, and lazy. That would be equality, because then everyone applies to it.

The phrase comes to mind: "I don't hate (insert group of people) specifically, I hate everyone equally."

It's the simple truth that the people you hate are treated differently from those you don't, and you sure as hell can't like everyone... so the only option for true equality is to hate everyone...

Now tell me... the concept of equality in these messages, is a flawed one to begin with, but regardless so... is true equality really worth it?

Don't get me wrong now, I'm not supporting bigotry, I'm just making a point about phrases and concepts commonly and carelessly thrown about over this world...

I think it is a good thing to help people if they are having trouble... but if they are perfectly able and willing to do it themselves... do they need someone else interfering? If someone asks for help, be it directly or implicitly, help them... if they don't... then no one can rightfully blame you for not. Obviously some people will say they don't need help, but their situation will scream otherwise... this is where your ability to make your own decisions becomes important.

In case anyone is wondering... I loathe public service announcements.. because they don't do any sort of service for the public by interrupting our programs only to be ignored like any other advertisement.

I am not spreading a message of hate, but of conscious thought! Remember that. Make your own decisions on who to treat how, and don't base it on how a soothing voice on a TV says to...

It was ok in the PSX version... but the PC port removed every single swear... so every time Barret said anything it was just a string of gibberish...

Happy enough to warrant a Yotsuba... well... I'll take that as a definite yes. This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship... Or more likely the beginning of a period of time where I call you a friend but hardly every speak directly to you about anything because I'm actually quite asocial. Basically about the same as now except you get a title. XD

I alraedy seffur from invulantory vewoll mevomnet... so...

Anyway it isn't something I would normally do... but it had to be done in order to uphold the impression...

Just for sake of argument, we should include an option to unbollox Barret's/Cid's text once we get the GUI pretty much squared away... Because it looks utterly retarded in the PC version...

I mean... PSX had shi' and PC has @#$... it really breaks the flow... Personally I think the whole game should be uncensored... if you're old enough to understand the plotline of FF7, you're old enough to hear a few colorful words... or hell, even colourful ones... I mean seriously, I doubt reading a naugh'y word here or there is gonna be half as scarring as watchin' that goody li'l bink Aerith get impaled...

I just had an idea for a joke about that, but I'll spare you this day.

And I do apologize for the sudden outbreak of pseudo-British...

Anyway I think the gray part of the Limit and ATB meters should be darker... they look a bit washed out with the current 50% gray... I'd go with maybe a 25% or so. I would offer to make a new one that looks bitchin'... but hell, they're just rectangles... there's not much room for modification...

*bangs two coconuts together off into the sunset*

It can certainly become a dis-gratifying task sometimes... But that's why I make sure to show my support.

Also, that's why I don't like to make a lot of revisions to my work once it's done if I can help it... because it puts more load on you.

After I installed FFVII PC on my own machine, I probably made 30 more revisions on that materia link... I wouldn't have been able to do that if I were relying on you to upload screenshots. It would have been a very mean thing to do...

In the end I didn't even play FF7 other than to mess with the tex's XD; though once everything is done and I figure out how some of these other mods work, I'm very tempted to play it through one more time.

Anyway, that's that... *goes off to work on Alex's armor parts...*

EDIT:
Do you happen to have a color palette in photoshop format i can use so i get proper colors? Or do you wing it?

I use samples from screenshots...

Word about upgrading things:

You'll generally hear more about the flaws than the successes...

Another note about this type of work:

The fact that you're getting many comments at all is a very good sign that you're going the right way.

Don't be discouraged just because people are saying you can improve things, that just means they support your idea and want to see as much success out of it as possible. I learned that a while ago when I started modding Morrowind for the first time... frankly my first mod was ok, but that's all... it wasn't great... but I got a few comments on how it looked good, and lots more about how it could be improved.

People are interested in this mod. Consider any post of constructive criticism a complement. (Flames, on the other hand, are best ignored altogether.)

I think you're doing well, it takes a lot to get me interested in a project for as long as I have been. Normally I lose the will to contribute in about two days... and even still I'm reading the thread, which I hardly ever do after I slow down in the contributions...

If nothing else, you have my support.

Also I should note that not everything I have done is vectors... the hand and maybe some others were, but mainly I just make things REALLY BIG and uniformly shrink them... until they are the right size...(keeping the large versions just in case) like the Materia... that was an old self-practice exercise I made long ago... I just added Bear-san's materia images from the first page, as a mask on top to give it some more reflection.

The materia slots were just clever use of layer effects (the linked part was a little harder since I had to blend things with the smudge tool without losing definition... I swear I remade that so many times trying to get it just right... which it's pretty close now.)

The timer numbers were...a little different... I started with a font I downloaded... then I converted the text layer to a vector layer and modified the shape of some of the numbers... and added some layer effects to it... eventually getting the glow I liked and metallic reflections... then... well anyway you get the point...

All I really do is blend a bunch of simple tasks into one good looking finished product... if I may be so conceited as to complement my own work.
