Looking good so far APZ!

If you happen to need any more source material, I can provide screencaps from the Blu-ray release of Advent Children: Complete.

I loved this show so much.

You and I should talk some time then! I have a ton of information about the show. I even once read rough drafts and scripts on the back deck of Gavin Blair's home, he's one of the original co-creators. :D I've spoken and/or met with Michael Benyaer (voice of Bob), Ian James Corlett (voice of Glitch-Bob), Shirley Milliner (voice of Hexadecimal), Paul Dobson (voice of Matrix), Sharon Alexander (voice of adult AndrAIa), Garry Chalk (voice of Turbo, Slash, Herr Doktor, Cyrus, and Al’s Waiter [front counter]), Scott McNeil (voice of Specky and Hack), and Michael Donovan (voice of Phong, Mike the TV, Cecil, and Al). I had them sign a poster, and a few figure bases/boxes that I brought with me.

You may also enjoy my website, rebootrevival.com. And I assume you'd like this convention panel. :)

As for how much effort has gone into it, well... I know a bit about the inner workings of Rainmaker, and suffice to say, they could be doing a lot better... but that's another story eh?

If you happen to be a fan of Beast Wars - Transformers, then you probably know of Mainframe Ent.'s other CGI show, ReBoot (or you may be a big fan of the series without being a fan of Beast Wars). The first two seasons, never received a proper DVD release. The third and fourth seasons have long been out of print (often sold at high prices on eBay). That is about to change early next year!

Rainmaker (the company that bought up Mainframe Ent. a few years back) has partnered with Shout! Factory to release all of ReBoot (all 47 episodes from all four seasons!).

Currently, seasons 1 and 2 have a set release date of March 1st 2011. Seasons 3 and 4 are TBA.

There is also a complete boxset collectors set coming out at some point (TBA).

As for any extras, I personally happen to be in contact with those who worked on the show (co-creators, voice actors, etc), and I can say there has been some recording of commentary!

If you don't want to wait for the boxset, you can pre-order Seasons 1&2 from Amazon right away at a discount!

Rumors that a teaser of Yuna's bare feet walking across water before the release date is circulating (more and more report seeing it, so it's probably true). That date btw, is March 3rd 2011 (Japan).

The NA site was updated as well (nothing we don't already know though). http://na.square-enix.com/dissidia_012/

Looks great so far!

I hope the image I found for you, was of some use?

Where'd I get this nice image? Amazon.co.jp ;) (and I have a Firefox add-on that allows me to save the original image that you see when you use the zoom-in tool)

That's about as good as I can find at the moment, unless I come across a high dpi scan.

You have got to be kidding me.  It is jagged and it looks like it has a filter applied to it.  The one currently in use IS what the original uses (minus a slight chop they did), and it looks smooth and professional.

Anyway sl1982 has spoken.   As always, anyone is welcome to create their own.  8-)

Really? I was under the impression that: screenshot was new....

That is a screenshot of v1.0 of the gui.

It is? But I just took it after installing GUI v2.0.7. Or am I missing something here (it's been a long day).

I personally have no qualms with the current font. As it is, it works quite nice for an upscaled/HD version of the game. More importantly, even if this project wasn't about bringing the PC version up to today's standards, the text is now much clearer/cleaner than it's ever been.

« on: 2010-10-27 17:51:03 »
Great job on this installer!

Everything appears to be working fine for me.

However... when I attempt to use "out_burst.dll", which for "PowerFX Sound Enhancer 2" for Winamp, the game will be pushed to the background, with windows explorer in-front, and the music skips, repeating the first few seconds over and over. Any possible way for me to correct this?

Oh, and assuming this helps any:

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit
Sound card: Realtek High Definition Audio

Looks pretty sweet! Reminds me of a Midgar model Noen from TLS had been working on for a while: http://thelifestream.net/forums/showthread.php?t=58

Shame he's busy with other things, would seem he could be a great contributor to Team Avalanche.

http://ff7.fr/screen/nibelheim.png

This might be of some relevance. I hadn't noticed it until recently, when Espio showed me.
The games uses 2 different renders of nibelheim, one before and one after it was rebuilt

http://i.imagehost.org/dl/9ac1313c3424e1845f8d9c62b5217b94/0857/nibelheim_past-new.gif

Animated gif, transitioning between the past/current Nibelheim, easy to spot the differences.

It is interesting that the Manor didn't catch fire (or at least hadn't at that point, and if it did then the damage must have been minor).

General Discussion / Re: First Tsurugi and Fenrir??
« on: 2010-05-27 09:32:10 »
No clue as to what area of the fandom first coined the names for the swords. I used to be a member at the adventchildren.net forums, (now I reside at thelifestream.net) and I recall seeing a few names tossed around, but no idea if they were "created" there.

General Discussion / Re: First Tsurugi and Fenrir??
« on: 2010-05-27 08:51:31 »
first tsurugi actually is made of 6 swords, all with names....

The big base sword is called apocalypse, the others i'm kinda fuzzy on which is which, but some of the names include avenger, vendetta, ascalon, sidewinder and one other..

Hate to say it, but those are all names created by the fandom. Not official. The sword as a whole has never even had a name for it, and calling it "First Tsurug"? Yeah.... Due to a misunderstanding of a transcription of Tetsuya Nomura's words in the DVD commentary, the fully assembled form came to be called First Tsurugi.
