I have FF7 steam version and I followed the mod tutorial but when I launched the game it just showed this



Then I chose new game and it just went black and nothing happened after that.

Cool, don't worry about it. I found this save game editor that should work just fine. I can just edit the save game, and put her back in the party. On top of that, I can switch out cloud for someone else.

when 7th heaven opens ff7 game it just closes straight after with no error the game was working before and i played for likes 2hrs+
now theres some mod updates and 7th heaven update but it wont update just says it failed the mods updated tho is this causing the game not to work?

whats the answer to 7th heaven not updating? and i dont wanna have to download all the mods again for like the 5th time+

Best way to update 7TH heaven is to just download the latest version and unzip and copy and paste over the old version. There is a DLL error to that stops it updating to the latest version through 7TH Heaven.

I got a near headless Aerith, I have also had textures missing from Cloud and Yuffies feet and Tifa's hair too.

When I start 7th heaven 1.50 it asks if I want to update to 1.52 I say yes, then a permissions box pops up I click run, and nothing happens it doesn't update.

Download 1.52 in this thread, unzip and copy and paste them over the old files.

Work shifts for this week are locked in, and NT doesn't seem likely for mid-January as planned. Someone on night-shift has booked two weeks holiday together (maybe more, not asked him) and I'm already in for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, with five to be confirmed next week. It's unfortunate, but can't plan for these things in advance.

In slightly better news, the Gold Saucer shortcut that someone suggested was implemented and I've made some good progress on the game's  dialogue script, fixing minor errors in event scripts that I've noticed along the way. Next thing to do is Cid's new sidequest which starts from Rocket Town; it should be fairly easy & quick to implement. I'll probably have the item shop in Wall Market drop something else instead.

I've went and made Shinra Mansion a mandatory area, though. This is to set up a new event that takes place on Mt. Nibel; I imagine most people stop there to get Vincent anyway, but just a heads-up.

Hey Mr Chief, there was a mod in the works sometime back that used the gold saucers event square as a auction hall. Do something like that could be implemented into this mod. Like the one in FF9.

They have all the gfx updated, world, battle, field, spell, summon even i think...

I think that is subjective, I do not like waifu. I prefer Leonhearts for battle textures, Grimmy for spell textures, Omzy for field textures, Felix Leonheart ste41k grimmy for world textures.

On a similar sort of problem that Jotaro has, do I need to point 7TH Heaven toll to the data\movies or the the movies folder in the FF7 disk I have in my ROM drive to run the movies. I am asking because I selected CH172 remix fmv's but they are not playing still playing the originals.

Before I go further,

I had to create directories

    ➣ Aali Modpath: ...\mods\Textures
    ➣ Movie Path: ...\data\movies

by myself and the folders are currently empty.


the music plugin would not stay as VGMStream. it would turn back to none after I press ok button.


few enemy model are not applied such as sweeper, shinra soldier.

seems like all textures are not applied at all such as battle, spell.

most cutscenes would not have any music nor sounds effects.

I've tried changing the directories of     

    ➣ Aali Modpath: ...\mods\Textures
    ➣ Movie Path: ...\data\movies

to mods\7thheaven where all the iro files are located at, but didn't do any tricks at all.

help would be appreciated.

thanks yuffie1983! still, it's laggy but sometimes so smooth.. i still think it's on my end.. thanks for the response! :)

i notice that issue too on the train with tifa and barret on the party, when he is scaring the guy, the gun arm is bent and the real arm is pointing at the guy, looks like he is going to shoot his arm off.. lol i thought maybe in the original the gun is on the other arm or the models is just right and it's square developers' error.. :D (cant remember the original when i played it several years ago on console if the gun is on left or right)

but in the ffvii remake trailer, the gun is on the rigth IIRC..

 I just reached Condor and im STILL only lvl 20-21.

The art of grinding, years of playing Warcraft. Yeah 18 hours into the game and my Barrier materia is not far of from Wall as is some of the elemental materia.

EDIT:
after running 7H again, it works.. i played after applying the 2 new updates.. after applying the 60fps, i notice that sometimes, it works smooth, but sometimes it became a little laggy.. don't know if it is because of my system.. it's using INTEL integrated hd, don't know how to use my nvidia card.. last time i edit the config to check nvidia, the game didn't boot so i use the converter again to fix it..

I am pretty sure the lag is coming from the Intergrated GPU. Here is how to set your PC to use your main GPU. It is pretty simple.

Right Click on your Desktop, you should see come up NVIDIA Control Panel select it. Now click on the program settings there is a drop down selection in there click high performance NVIDIA Processor. Your PC should run off the that gpu now not the integrated one. Also be sure to update your GPU Drivers as well.

The .EXE will be reworked (again) with the Limits left much closer to their original base strength; I also added range modifiers to them which wasn't a great idea. And I'm in the process of redoing every single enemy and boss at the moment to be a better match for the player team.

The stat gain going through Midgar is actually pretty inconsequential in the default game, to the point where it could be considered invisible; I think you maybe see 40 damage from Cloud going to about 60-65 between Reactor 1 and the Midgar Escape depending on your level:

The Levels you gain aren't just for better HP/MP either; Level plays an important role in both types of damage formula so a Lv.21 character will hit harder than a Lv.11 character even with the exact same stats for instance. And because that rate of EXP is much higher in NT (you'll be approaching Lv.20-21 by the end of Midgar) you're going to see higher increases in your damage, combined with the higher stat bonuses on equipment you'll be picking up.

I've mentioned before (I think?) that SP from randoms is going to be limited by your Level. If any of your active party members exceed the Level of the enemy, then it won't give any SP (special low EXP monsters like Mandragora also don't give SP at all); this is to prevent accidentally over-farming it before you unlock the option. When you've got 100 (the max it can hold is 255), you can buy a Rank with it; you can also only buy 8 ranks per character. It'll be impossible to max out your stats.

So now at the moment I am in the Shinra building, I more than likely over leveled. Just about to fight the boss after you get Red XIII and I am at level 38.

@segachief i agree to leave steal and morph out of boss fights, i already had frustrations with reno, easiest boss so far just to morph him, dont want to imagine my frustrations if i had to morph a Weapon... -_O

It seems reno is somewhat harder now, thats good.

Rank Up: i feel constrained by very few choices or stat choice that i dont need forced into other stats that i need. I feel it could be improved more, maybe give us individual stats choice of +5 and or +10? Instead of grouping several together. Like we have 30 sp to spend and we can choose 5 or 10 sp for any stat we want. Though that could lead to overstack of some stats i see now, but maybe there can be limits added, like 10 can be chosen one rank up and that stat cant be chosen next rank up. Or 2 next rank ups.

If you are at the similar point to were I am at have you got Tifa Mythril Claw and Clouds Hardedge yet.

i just downloaded menu overhaul right now, and when i launch thegame, there's an error.. how can i send the dump file? i deactivated that mod and the error didn't show up.. thanks in advance guys! :)

Just open the the dump file it is a text file, copy and paste the text into your post in the appropriate thread.
