Come on man, once it comes out everything here will be dropped.  Why would you continue to make the original look like that movie when they've already done it?
It took this one six years for it to be abandoned at what like 60-70%?

EDIT!!!!!!!!

It's like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, how both of the original creators of the franchises dropped out and new ones took over.  Now the games are awful.

This is what Cloud is supposed to look like.  They went with Nomura's art style.  It's awesome.

http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/finalfantasy/images/a/af/Cloud_Strife_Nomura_art.jpg

Here is the new style.  J-Pop.  He looks gay.

Do I really have to say what's wrong with this picture?

But it's not your style it's their updated style.  And it's not even updated really it's someone elses interpretation.

Alright I give up.  This is sad actually.  It seems like people that grew up with the original would understand what I'm saying.

Anyone who agrees with me please speak up, we'll learn how to make models together and finish this fucking thing finally.

I don't know about anyone else here but I work towards modding FFVII because it's fun. Because I enjoy the game more thoroughly with updated graphics and a remastered soundtrack, and remastered battle mechanics and remastered AI. I also get a sense of satisfaction out of having something productive to do with my time. Although I begged for it initially, I could honestly give two shits about an FFVII remake at this point. I've satisfied my urge to see a Final Fantasy VII remake through these forums.

I think your time would be more productively spent actually doing some work instead of whining that people have quit and that everyone else is going to quit their projects.

I'm not working on anything?  I thought I was.

Maybe your time would be spent more productively working on something that isn't already being done by the company.

Yeah i am sure it would be more productive. But much less enjoyable. I see no reason to stop working on my project, even if square remakes the game.

I think if we were all here working because we wanted a remake so badly, all the projects here would have been done years ago.   This is a hobby, something fun to do.  I honestly have no idea why you're getting all worked up over it... Everyone here has thought about and is well aware that eventually there will be a remake.

Though you may think otherwise, you haven't brought anything new to anyone's attention, so please, stop while you're still ahead.

By "ahead" I simply mean he isn't a full blown troll.  But I recall seeing this type of "discussion" with a certain Hermoor once upon a time.   And that could have ended better.

c'mon changeling, lighten up, yeah, you may think it's pointless but to people like me.the work being done here is imprtant for many things especially inspiration, before, I came here I  couldn't make sense of blender l didn't even care to, but now i'm learning (slowly) but I'm enjoying the experience immensely, ihope you see what i mean..

I'm just baffled by this.  I'm not going to go over why again because I think the point was made and I'll have some more flaming and lame jokes.

Listen anyone who wants to finish this, especially with some experience email me and we'll finish it.

A general rule of working on projects, show some work before asking for help.

Outstanding work!  You might want to resize those images though.  Some of them are extremely large and off my screen :/

So the left side is before and right is after?

Somebody should definitely correct me if I'm wrong, as I'd feel bad saying this if it's not true, but didn't the PRP and NPC Reconstruction Project already do this?
