I just played the part where you recruit Yuffie, and it played Chasing the black caped man instead of Yuffie's theme. I checked Anxious Heart and that's fine, the flevel.lgp is also clean.

The new Anxious Heart does everything for you, including renames.  :)

Should have checked that first, spent ages renaming them all xD

For anyone having trouble getting the music to work without FF7 music running, make sure that this is set in your config:

Create a folder in the main FF7 directory called music, then one called vgmstream and put the music files in there. (Final Fantasy VII\Music\Vgmstream) They need to match the names of the original midi:

If you want Anxious Heart to work, just rename the extension .logg to .ogg, and change the name accordingly.

I don't think I'd actually use it for Cloud, but the Lightening model does have some really good detail.

So far what I've seen is cutscenes mostly happen with a If Gamemoment= variable, so I just got it to disable in that field if it's that time. I think that'll be fine for now.

I managed to fix the issue coming from the world map, it's set up so that if you come from any other map that wasn't defined in the variables above (any of the others locations that you can walk into), it'll load them on the stairs. I had to use Otyugh to work out the coordinates and the triangle ID. DLPB, you are a hero :)

I'm also setting it up in such a way that any character can be the leader in Cosmo Canyon, in some cases rearranging scripts.

Once I've done all of Cosmo Canyon, I'll upload it for you to look at/implement in your own work.

Took me ages to find this thread again, but I come with news. Finally managed to get it working:

Spawning points are a bit of a problem, since she doesn't want to load in Cloud's location. I ended up having to load her in different point depending on which map was visited last. It does have it's glitches however, if she doesn't catch up to Cloud by the time he climbs a ladder, it'll try to execute her ladder script. It won't work until she catches Cloud, so once she does, it'll try to initiate her climb and she'll go nowhere and you'll get stuck.

I haven't really tested cutscenes either.

I always found the jumps to be quite confusing at times. It's definitely a lot easier now though. I didn't touch any of the areas after disc 1 where she already appeared, maybe that's part of it?

Hopefully I can make it from the beginning, without using any of the old code. With the new Makou Reactor it shouldn't take me nearly as long as last time, especially with the new animations ready to go.

Not sure about keeping the new Ultimate weapon sidequest though. Hmm what to do...

I've been thinking about updating this for a while now, to make it work a little better and give her better placement and dialog.

There's been mention of several bugs and glitches that came with this, but nobody ever actually told me what they are. It would be nice to know so I can make sure that it doesn't happen this time.

The new model I made for that patch was just a version of Aeris on Tifa's skeleton, so make sure you haven't swapped them around or deleted one, that would explain the weird arms/legs thing.

I'm not sure if this has something to do with Makou Reactor, but I think some maps might have a group limit on them. I tried adding all characters to the restaurant place in Wall market (mkt_s2), and it stayed on a black screen. I did some testing, and it stops working after 25 groups.

It seems to crash a lot during saves. Mostly if I've copied an entity. I just changed one part of the code of an npc and it crashed.

If I were to clone a Cloud entity, and try to change it to Yuffie, it'll crash.

Anyway, before it goes ahead anymore, it needs to be decided which events should stay with cloud as the leader without messing up the story.

Here's something interesting, the Corneo scene in Wutai is set up so that anyone can be the leader. It's already set up to give them coordinates for being the leader, even though they shouldn't be.
