kingdom hearts head? the whole model is from kh2 i beleive

The body is custom made, but looks very similar i agree, the texture is also from KH, but put into a single tex file (as KH uses more than one for the whole model)

I'm really glad that this bloke is back. I found his "The Fat Man Judgeth" videos hilarious; often funnier than AVGN's reviews.

That was the best negative review EVER!

Releases / gjoerulv's "Hardcore" mod
« on: 2009-09-03 18:59:57 »
The final release wont be released 'til the end of august or later. This will be the final release. I feel there are enough modding tools available for anyone to make a mod like this one without too much trouble.

Any word on the final version?

i thought SL said that the lgps shouldnt change in size

LGP's should be the same size as the originals.
Check your using custom graphics driver correctly, if you are, check that the texture folder from the download is in ff7 directory.

Make sure you are putting the modded lgp's and the seffect1.tex back where they belong and replacing the originals

If you've done all this, then I'm not sure what the problem is

Download This

Then Download This

Then Re-download This

Put the new patch.bat, and the new LGP and UNLGP into the GUI folder then put your LGP files into GUI folder and run the patch

p.s. Just a though, we should ask Aali's permission to include his LGP Tool in the download....

This whole 'Discussion' started because hermoor didn't see the improvement made to fire3 in the youtube video (youtube isn't know for 'good' resolution in its videos, even at High Quality), he has also stated he hasn't got the pc version installed so how can he know what it's like in game? Who cares if he can't see a difference, I CAN, and alot of other people CAN, that is what matters! The lag that this mod creates is like 1/2 a second on a modern computer, it's not noticeable, so can everyone stop this pointless back and forth posting plz, lets get some more screen shots and videos of the actual mod up!

92
Seriously, let people learn how to mod their own game, I agree it could be useful if you messed up something, but backups of originals solves that problem, and how long does it really take to re-install everything? 10 minutes? Maybe a half hour?

Archive / Re: New Materia
« on: 2009-09-02 23:26:31 »
Maybe if we fill in all the dummy materia with materia (Just make it some useless spell like....THROW!!!) and maybe they will show up randomly in game? Example: Maybe the 1st dummy materia can be bought from a Materia Shop in Midgar or Kalm.

Maybe, but I doubt it, If that were the case you'd be able to scroll down and highlight the dummy materia while browsing in the shop. Changing a dummy materia's name and putting random spells into it shouldn't change anything in the shops...

? So what your saying is that it is possible to add totally new materia in the game without replacing another or you have to replace another

You can add new materia

You can't add new spells for the materia without replacing another magic

Also, it's nice to not have to play around as much with the .lgp files; installation was quicker this time :-)

Thats good to know  :-D

96
why do we need this anyway?

You don't. I didn't say you did. It just makes installing FF7PC mods easier. You're taking this as everything I said it wasn't. The point is the simplicity of the install.

Its not making it simpler if you include out dated and unnecessary mods..... Plus when new versions of the PRP and GUI Overhaul are released, this whole download will need updating, and I don't think ppl will wait another 4 and a half hours to download this again, and it seems a waste of your time to upload it again.

So to summarize, downloading things separately is better.

97
the easiest way for you to do it is extract both char to diff folders (ex: char1{1st realease} char2{2nd realease}) open the cloud from the 1st realease in kimera (aaaa.hrc) now save it to a totally diff foler (ex: cloud) now open your cloud and char2 folder then move all the items in the cloud folder to the char2 one then it should replace the new model with the older one now just use your lpg tools to make your new char file and play and enjoy

Or to be even quicker save cloud from first release to char2{2nd realease}, kimera will ask to overwrite files, say yes  :-)

New version released, It isn't a patcher anymore as requested by hellbringer616, enjoy, I've added a fair amount of NPC's in this one, also, I've played around with some of the NPC's hands and made them less curved as requested by Kudistos Megistos, not sure if you'll notice but hey, its in there
