WIP / Re: [FF7 PC-98/Steam] True Honey Bee Inn

Enough all of you. If you guys want to be asshats take it to discord DM or send a PM. Ignoring a moderator is a good way to get banned. Next post in here that is not related to the mod that person gets muted for as long as i feel like.

Announcements and site development / We were hacked.
« on: 2021-07-12 12:37:47 »
As many of you are aware someone gained access to an administrator account and locked us all out. Qhimm was nice enough to come save the day and set things back to the way they were before but there are some things to consider.

The hacker may have gotten access to the database so your email addresses and passwords may be compromised. Please update your passwords on here and change any passwords on other sites that are the same as this one.

It is not advisable to share the same password over many sites as one hack compromises everything else. Please use unique strong passwords on every site. I also recommend using a password manager. Keepass and bitwarden are good ones. They will create a unique strong password for every site.

Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused everyone.

Amazing work! Welcome to Qhimm  :)

Could not find the textures for Cloud's normal slash attack but I was able to find most of the other ones... There's a file called cloud1.tex or something like that but Biturn can't open it, also every other file uses the Japanese names so I'm not even sure if that's it.

Clouds slash effect is in seffect3. Fourth and fifth lines. Its all split apart.

I have no words..... wow

Happy new year to everyone!

Im not grumpy.... grumbles

You pretty much have the right idea with what happened with DLPB. DLPB specifically requested his work to be removed so we obliged. As far as I am aware he is still working on reunion on his own website.

Sorry guys. My baby girl was born on last Wednesday  :-* and I'll be  busier than usual during the next 20 years :P. I did start the field after the tunnel( the one wedge burns his ass xD). After that one I'll re-do the first field so we can have the reactor finished (between me and kuraudo). It will take a while though...

Congrats Jusete!

How can I edit a .png file already converted with Palmer?

Short answer is you cant. You need the original file

General Discussion / Re: What happend to "Reunion" mod?
« on: 2020-07-29 23:56:04 »
Reunion is no longer available here due to reasons i dont really have time to get into. The new home for reunion is here

As per dlpb's license he does not allow parts of his mod to be stripped and added to other mods. I have removed the link until you can prove you have his explicit permission.

General Discussion / Re: Where's Reunion gone?
« on: 2020-07-05 01:28:53 »
If you really must know the information is out there. We have our side of the story and he has his. We hold him no hard feelings and hope him the best with his mod. You can find reunion at

The new 7H clarifies the message so it is less troll-y:

"Error code: YARR! Unable to continue. This copy of FF7 appears to be pirated. Please purchase a genuine copy of the game. If this copy is genuine, please ask for help on the Qhimm forums."

That will probably solve a lot of problems

The fact of the matter is you sent some really nasty private messages and thats why you were warned. It turns out that not only do you think you were justified you still continued to send them. We do not need people like that here. Consider your fair warning to be a ban.

User has been warned. PM me if any other issues arise.

i do think the proposed layout is better

but i think more importantly you need to take the general discussion of final fantasy and move it to the top of the FF section, and then take the completely unrelated section at the bottom and rename it to something like 'general discussion' and also move it to the VERY top, this needs to be done to at least attempt to drive new membership

some people won't like this and will say the modding site should focus on modding discussion but as a community you are either growing or dying and IMO this place needs some fresh blood

most of the modders here are on larger projects anyway with 1 or 2 threads they just update periodically, where else will the reading material to keep people checking come from?

I really dont think that non topic discussion should be the forefront of our forums. There are plenty of other places for that.

I bought C&C Remastered at full price. I consider it worth it. Maybe it will give EA the right ideas this time. Dont kill off our RTS games

This makes the most sense to me honestly

It's six of one and half a dozen of another the way it is now. We have dedicated boards for project types which are subdivided into games. You're suggesting boards for games subdivided into project types. I've thought we need to further divide the subboards into release, WIP and actual support of each of these categories. That way all releases can be found in one place not cluttered by people asking questions or WIP projects. I like the flow of the idea that you've got pictured

Code: [Select]
|-> Graphics
|      |-> Release
|      |-> WIP
|      |-> Support
|-> Audio

I'm voting yes for this.

Announcements and site development / Re: Forum upgrade
« on: 2020-06-19 14:24:06 »
Except it really isn't. Let's Encrypt provides a tool that lets you install the certificate in literally few minutes if you have proper access to the server. You can even add it to cron so it auto-renews itseft. And many shared hosted providers have an option to do all that for you automatically.

At this point there isn't really a reason not to have SSL on your site (unless you just don't have the access to SSH on the server or your hosting provider doesn't give you the option). If you don't care about the security of your account on Qhimm's that's fine, but other people might. Plus SSL is required if you want to switch your server to use http/2, which is a major upgrade to the protocol and makes everything load faster.

Btw the new theme looks really nice :). The only change I would make is to replace the top background image with something more FF themed, I posted a suggestion on Discord.

Edit: Now I see that we could probably also use a new emote pack because this one isn't really compatible with a dark theme, the edges of emotes show spill of the white background.

I agree. This was just a test. It would be nice having some more ff related visuals in the theme
