General Discussion / FFX Questions, related with Fayth and Tidus

I recently completed the game last night. it a good game. i like the Sphere Grid system. but my hearts still love FF7

Anyway. after completeling it last night. There is one part about Fayth appear in Tidus dream and claiming that Tidus is made from Fayth's dream. Make sense to me, right? but wait if Tidus is really a dream, then why Jecht (Tidus' father) is real and able to go to Farplane, and Jecht still see Tidus as his real son? I havent got the opportunity to play X-2 (im not really sure if i really want to play X-2). and at the end of the credit, Tidus got revived by Fayth. ok im really confused about this part. is Tidus is really a dream or Tidus just happen to died then become a "dream spirit thingy" then got revived?

I dont care if there a spoiler, just tell me, i been almost up the whole night trying to figure out about Tidus dream thing.

Completely Unrelated / Where One-Winged Angel Music?

I been looking around in finalfantasy.wikia.com for more info on final fantasy stuff. and came across with One-Winged Angel section and talking about they have few music related with One-Winged Angel music from few games and Advent Children. but one specific music that i like "One-Winged Angel - Reunion Tracks" I went to iTune to find that music and preview the music. it just not the same track. i could be mistaken. Archive / Help with FF7 not loading movie properly

WOW, it been a long time i havent post here. i remember some of you. Not sure if you remember me. I was at World of Warcraft game and forgotten about FF. shame on me until i finally watched Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children on DVD. it amazing to watch, i really enjoy watching it. after i watched it. my brother and i want to play FF7 game again. I truly miss those groupie in action.

Anyway, back to my tech-related problem. I changed my Video card to nVidia GeForce4 MX 4000. I know FF7 have a huge problem with nVidia driver. When i loaded FF7, with all the patch (without Animevamp's patch) Choco patch, movie patch, and Config 1.2 patch. Im currently using Media Player Classic and never had a issue in the past with it. But since now, it does. When i loaded FF7, all im showing a black screen and got to Menu. it puzzling me that the movie is not showing it. so i decide to copied all Movie clip to my hard drive and edit the registry to tell the FF7 to use the hard drive for the movie. And still showing the same blank black screen. So im at loss here, i can load the game without a problem but rather to have a video in it. I use with and without FF7w program and it still not showing the movie. Im not sure if it my media player problem or Config's problem beacuse i saw nVidia TNT and Riva. But it not checked.

Any helps here? Im using Window Xp Pro with nVidia GeForce4 MX 4000 with latest DirectX updates. I reallly want to play FF7 with the movie, so help me out here.

Archive / cant get Music to work in FF7

I dont know why the music is not running in FF7 but it still can hear sound, Music and sound is already full. in FF7 Config, i tested the music, it not running. i am using Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth midi driver (only one in midi driver option) and test all with any midi data. i already unchecked Logarithmic Volume Control to see it, still the same result. the Sound Driver i am using is Realtek AC97 Audio. the music work fine in any other game but not in FF7. my computer spec is WinXP, already have chocobo patch. and FF7 working smoothly but the music is not. hwo i get it to work, i enjoying hearing the battle theme

I want to skip those 10 second logo. Cuz i seen them a thousand of time and tired of pressing the button to get to the main menu. any way to skip the logo to the main menu without risking my FF7 and FF8

im mostly talking about my FF8 cuz it longer than ff7

Im bored and nothing to do today..... so i decided to make this topic

I know all of you like Eden. he a awesome GF. but post your three favorite GF beside Eden. and explain why they are your favorite

Doomtrain  ofcourse this is a awesome GF, he cast any status change on monster and make it VIT 0, and i love the look of the train, it really really fit the name "Doomtrain"

Diablos i know i know, some of you will say why Diablos. Honestly this gf should be in top 3 GF, he is awesome. i know he only cast Demi spell but Demi spell have effects on most monster, and great on human. i using Diablo on Edea and it works. and plus i like the ability it has: Mug, Enc-Half, Enc-None and Darkside

Jumbo Cactuar this is the second most powerful GF in the game, ofcourse he and Eden is the only GF that can dealt over 9,999 damage. and the animation is short too. you dont have to worry about boosting Cactuar. i like his Bonus ability and Enpendx2-1


Well that about it, those are my 3 favorite and deserve to be in Top 3 GF.

General Discussion / That Crater in FF8......

mmm i cant figure out why that crater is there. as you see a map




if you look at the third picture, that where i am at the crater

thought it was Lunatic Pandora... but not it not...... thought it a "force field" that Esthar have... but no it not... it didnt expand to that.



if you look at the picture above, you see the green one is Lunatic Pandora is, i cant excat pinpoint where it is but i know it in the ocean cuz that where Laguna sent it. and if you see the red line around Esthar area, those are "force field" they have.

I tried to go use the Garden to across it, but it wouldnt let me, thought cuz of the ground but not this message



you see, that almost similar to ff7, when Highwind Airship trying to touch Northern Crater before Disc 4, you will get a message from Barret or someone lese saying there is a shield protecting the crater. SO i wondering what is that, why it is there?

Archive / Saved Games in FF8

i couldn't pass Edna movie in Deling City. It pausing and hanging and i got forced to close FF8. I know Cheat Planet (www.cheatplanet.com) have those saved games. but i was surpised that they dont have them anymore, not even one saved game in any games in Cheat Planet, i was puzzled why. So i trying to go to Abby-Cheat.com which that have them too, but i got those MySQL error. So i tried to google it up and found some of them but most of them is in the final boss which i dont want that, i want a saved game that is locatoced in Desert Prison at the beginning of Disc 2, that all i want.

(Cheat Planet have those saved game in each disc, but they gone for some reason, it really caught me by surpise  )

if anyone have a saved game in Desert Prison in the beginning of Disc 2, can you give me those??

when i use Cid Big Brawl, the damage count wont show, it is hitting the monster but now showing the damage, after that i won the battle but the monster is still there

Archive / FF7w some option didnt work well with my FF7

it working properly, but the problem is Cheat Plugin is affecting FF7 badly, i loaded my game save then it hanging there then the arrow appear, not the hand, no background, no cloud, just blank black screen with white arrow on the middle of the screen then it closed FF7.

without Cheat Plugin, it working fine.

I already reinstall FF7 because FF7w is not working. SO i uninstall FF7 and reinstall FF7, my FF7 Config is still 1.00 (to be safe) then i loaded FFw, then it work fine without Cheat Plugin. and my OS is Xp if anyone need to know that

Why Cheat Plugin is affecting FF7 badly?

(if anyone must know, i havent patched Cetra yet, i already removed Cetra .dll and it files before reinstall FF7)

Archive / Cetra not detecting Config 1.02

It detected 1.02 and applied the patch until today, Cetra not patching it cuz it not detecting it Config 1.02. Well, my FF7 Config is 1.02, i dont know why it not detecting right

Maybe Ficedula can tell me why Cetra not detecting my Config correctly....

Anyone have this problem?

General Discussion / What purpose of Weapons in FF7?

Five Weapon: Emerald, Ruby, Ultima, Diamond, Sapphire (the fish weapon that got killed by Junon's cannon)

I named that fish weapon Sapphire cuz i have no knowledge of that weapon's name. so Sapphire fitted him cuz Sapphire is blue and the water is blue,, and that weapon is a water weapon.

Anyway, what is the purpose of them> so far i understand that way FF7, but Weapons is the one im still not understand. Some said it the protector of the planet, some said it the destoryor of the planet. So based on Gast's story, it is confusing

So i am trying to think, my thought is "Weapon came from somewhere in space but crashed to FF7's planet and left there inactive for long time until someone woke Weapon which that is Cloud."... until the Weapon is scatter around the world. this is the confusing part, if Weapon is the "hurting" the Planet, then why Diamond Weapon is trying to attack Midgar to stop the Sister Ray, but Cloud and the group got in his way and have no choice but to attack them, until the end of the battle, Diamond sensed a danger from Sister Ray and trying to flee away from the battle and heading to Midgar. but When Diamond sensed a serious danger, he unleashed his great powers to target Midgar. After that Sister Ray instantly kill him and head to the Northern Crater to destory the shielding.  

But after a couple of thinking, so i think that the shield is a protection from Sephy, so he cannot come out of the Crater until the shield is broken, so i thought that why Weapon sensed a danger and want to stop the Sister Ray before it destory the shield. and i have other thought, the shield is a shield against Sephy magic, so he cannot cast the Black Materia's deadly power until the shield is gone. If Weapon is "protecting" the planet, then why Could and the group is attacking them?

that is my thought of the purpose of Weapon

Anyone have other thought og purpose of Weapon, if oyu do please tell me

General Discussion / FF7 and FF8 is boring when using Trainer/Character Editor

dont get me wrong people, i went to my friend house to play a FF7 for my friend. When he went to get something, i happen to noticed a file that for FF7 and FF8. so i click it, interesting it a trainer and character editor. i didnt know my friend like to cheat. so i create a new game for myself with trainer, just curious how it work. after playing one hour with trainer, my GOD, it so boring. my character already maxed out and still in midgar, havent got out of midgar yet. and with FF8 with trainer, it so boring. no challenge at all. just a instant kill on all mob. i feel like i the master of the game but with trainer. WOW. i cant believe that.

Lucky i dont use trainer to cheat the game. I old my friend he must be bored with FF7 with trainer, he said yea. i know many true gamer tend to play the game without any cheats/trainers/character editor. now i went back to my house to play FF7, ahhh much better. im so happy that i am playing the game without trainer cuz it will be challengeable game. with trainer, i feel bored with it.

have anyone experience of this before??

***dont get me wrong, i just curious how the game with trainer. now it better off without the trainer will provide you a lot lot lot of fun***

Archive / Movie wont show when MoviePath is changed in FF7

I changed the MoviePath to my hard drive, so it can run the movie from the hard drive, not the CD. I put a full path where i put the movie in with the exact word of it. But it not running any movie of it. but i cam get to main menu fine but the movie is not displaying. my .avi default is WinAmp and yes i already got a patch for WinAmp to work in FF7. but when the CD is displaying the movie, it run perfectly but in hard drive, it not showing any movie at all. i did this before in couple of months ago, and it work fine but now it not.

I am using WinXP SP1
**im not updating my service pack until SP2 is safe to use, i already know about the problems in sp2**

i installed FF7 and installed XP Patch and run the game, i was so excitied. but one thing is bothering me, the movie load took so long. So i will be changing the path to use the hard drive as a movie!!!! it really load faster and run so smoothly
