Where One-Winged Angel Music?
« on: 2009-09-01 22:52:56 »
I been looking around in finalfantasy.wikia.com for more info on final fantasy stuff. and came across with One-Winged Angel section and talking about they have few music related with One-Winged Angel music from few games and Advent Children. but one specific music that i like "One-Winged Angel - Reunion Tracks" I went to iTune to find that music and preview the music. it just not the same track. i could be mistaken. Im curious if anyone know this music and know that it real title and the album it from? http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/File:OneWingedAngel.ogg

Ok look.... One Winged Angel is the single most mixed, remixed, rerecorded, revamped, and re-anything-ed track of anything even remotely related to final fantasy...

You are looking for a specific version, by giving only the basic title and where you found it once...

I suggest you go on playlist[dot]com and search for 'one winged angel' and start listening to every single file it finds until you get the right one...

iTunes is for the unenlightened... like WoW... their populartiy is offset by nothing else but their stupidity...

There are the FFVII version, which was a PSX music file with vague clarity but catchy nonetheless...
There is the redacted AC prototype version, it was a full orchestral remake of the PSX version, but, it was scrapped for the metal version...
The metal version used in AC... it was performed by The Black Mages (under their original Japanese name)
The KH version
The KHII version
The innumerable shitty midi versions
The Piano version
and so on

He said reunion tracks yes, but was that the one he was really after?

As far as I'm aware, there's only one set of "reunion tracks", and that's also the version he linked to. If that isn't the one he was after, then he's incredibly bad at describing what he wants. Really, I don't see any room for ambiguity at all; he couldn't possibly have given more information.

And I'm saying that it seemed to me he wasn't sure if the reunion track was the correct one or not.

Then we're still left with the mystery of why he would give that link if it weren't the version he wanted to know more about :-P

This is what I'm referring to.

^ that is the same version as was in the original game... or otherwise its a very bad sounding copy of some other version.

So it is. Perhaps I too am hard of hearing :|

Anyway, we'll see if this (definitely not from the reunion tracks) is the version he wanted:

Really? I've never heard of this. Link? I'd be interested to hear it.

I say "scrapped" but it was partially integrated with the metal version from AC.

It was originally a full track by itself, but when it was leaked to the internet the higher-ups at Square decided to have/let Uematsu-sama do a new version.

Wow, looks like they planned AC very far in advance :-D

But that's the version of the song from the reunion album

No, no. I meant that it's from the reunion tracks and not an early version of anything meant for AC; I wasn't talking about OP :-P

I will hereby admit that I have lost all sense of what we are talking about and thusly can no longer say anything with any definite accuracy... I shall yield to you this day and retreat for the time being.

So it is. Perhaps I too am hard of hearing :|

That is the one i believe it is. i kinda fast forward to get the music where that .ogg file i listened to and it sound the same! thank you so much for helping me find it.

But if that is the music, where i can find that legit music file where i can download it from amazon.com or itune?

EDIT: And im so sorry if i made you guys in the witch hunt to look for very specific music i want to. If you dont believe that is the one, just let me know and ask me to make it more specific and i will be willing to. thank you, Satoh and Kudistos Megistos. just let me know if you need more info on it.

To Kudistos Megistos.  i am profound deaf on the medical records. I rely on hearing aid to make me hear thing. and i grew up in mainstream school and school for the deaf (private school by the state). So i lost some of my ability to understand more on words. so that why i kind of rely on you guys to listen the music for me and hopefully it is the right kind.

I see. Then the version you want is from the standard soundtrack; if you want to go legit, go to itunes and search for "One-Winged Angel". It should be on top of the list, but just to check, make sure that it's from the album named "FINAL FANTASY VII (Original Sountrack) and the length is 7:19.

It was no problem.

It was an interesting battle for me.

Anyway, that version has pretty low quality vocal audio, so I wouldn't be surprised if a world-class musical theorist with perfect pitch couldn't hear the words...

The words are however:

Estuans Iteris
Ira Vehementi
Estuans Iteris
Ira Vehementi

Sephiroth

Estuans Iteris
Ira Vehementi
Estuans Iteris

That's as much as I remember off the top of my head...(Yes, I got it mem-o-rized.)

Do not make me die

Do not make me die

Glorious, noble

The lyrics are taken from random parts of the Carmina Burana.

Actually Sephiroth is the most misunderstood part of the entire song.

For you to understand Sephiroth, you must understand all aspects of the Hebrew religion, understand numerology, and several other concepts related to the word "Sephirot" (Sephiroth being plural in most cases, which in Hebrew can denote multiple objects OR the drastic importance of a single object... it would be like referring to Masamune as "His swords" in English)

Safer-Sephiroth also has many possible meanings... direct translation being Book of Numbers, while indirectly (and erroniously) translated as Savior Sephiroth, and Sepher Sephiroth. The most likely, but still purportedly incorrect, being Seraph Sephiroth.

So unless you understood all of that, No, you do not understand that part of the lyric.
