Quote from: AaronIt is doubtful that upgrading from Windows XP SP1 to SP2 would break FF7.
I didnt mean by that. SP2 have lots of problem, the main reason why MS release SP2 for security of IE and that is all, but sure they add more minor fix but some bugs that they never bother to fix it. SP2 is more buggy than SP1, that why im still sticking with SP1

i just borrowed ff7 from a friend and installed it and now it keeps crashing on me. i have windows xp and it always crashes in the room in the beginning where Jessie first tells you how to use ladders . When i try to get out of that room, windows throws me a "send report/don't send report" message.
i have windows xp sp2. also, i have the legal version of ff7. I've tried many patches so far and none of them worked. Is there a specific fix for this problem?

Well, then wait for my mouse patch
Alright..I was impatient..and found my gamepad
And as someone mentioned, can u include a cheats toggle key? I like the idea of saving anywhere, but don't really enjoy being God
Yeah, I will add Enable/Disable options next build.

3. Don't Alt+tab press Ctrl+Esc, you will be able to Multi task without losing controls. Also I thought that most of you used a Gamepad!
erh..Ctrl + Esc doesn't seem to work for me..
and I dun know where my gamepad is..so
bulk, doesnt u happen to have a cheat plugin dll with just the save anywhere, without the other things that make u invul???
Quote from: bulk_4meQuote from: FireKingXSadly I can't change resolution no one working on this?
What 'da "fudge" you are talking about? 800 x 600 ? Or sumthin' like that?
Yes anything higher than 640. It looks pixellated on my comp
Sadly I can't change resolution no one working on this?
No, seriously, the movies look worse. For example, the one where you take the tram up to the gold saucer; aside from some grainyness, i never really noticed a visual difference. After using the patch, there's suddenly ugly brown blocks all over the back of the thing. I know the movie file wasn't messed with, because i took a fresh copy off the disk. In winamp everything looks fine. The opening movie looks worse even, too: there were green block patterns popping up all over, where there weren't any before (dark gray, maybe, but not green!).
Also, the "horisontal bar" was more of a passing distortion, akin to a scanline. Could be my video card having a headache for some reason =/
Is anyone else getting wierdness like this?
And now i have wierd horizontal scanlines, and some of the fmvs now look like they're in 8-bit color isntead of 16, even after i uninstalled the thing =/
