Pretty accurate Mr. jari.  :-D
Bummer... Oh well. I have some FF7's too.

Haven't read the whole thread, but is somone able to put in MP3's instead of the crappy Midi's?
I did some re-renders of the tracks in-game. I consider this one one of the best. I did some FF7 ones a year ago. Maybe some of you remember.

Well, enjoy the render ;)

Wow, it's been a while...

I got some new and better instruments now. Also, the remixes are down since VGmix is down too.

If someone's interested, i could do a track on request... ;)

(sorry for reviving an old topic, but this was the most awesome topic on the boards)

apz  freak: I loaded a lowpass and a highpass filter and raised the high frequencies a bit, while lowering the volume on the low frequencies. Then I used a compressor to tune in on the high frequencies of the vocals and, voila. You can still hear the original music throughout the mix though, so it's not that great. The secrect of this mix is the music overrules the vocals a bit, because I also compressed the mix apart from the vocals.
That's it. (Working on a CT remix now, by the way. )

I'm sorry for jacking, but I know how it sucks to get those vocals out. I couldn't get them out properly either...

Ehm, piracy isn't a good thing to discuss here.
Secondly, "The Black Mages" is led by Nobuo Uematsu, original composer of most Final Fantasy tracks.

Next time, do your homework a bit before posting.

First of all, we're not "remixing" the FF7 tracks. We're re-sequencing them with better instruments. That's a big difference.

Anyway, for a great "remix" go here

2 new ones:

1. Forest Temple
2. Cosmo Canyon
Cosmo Canyon is not quite the way I wanted it, but the Forest Temple worked out nicely.
Enjoy.

Using some free soundfonts in FL Studio 5.

What is too sharp? the piano? i can tweak it some more if you want.
The harp in interrupted sounds good. I need a good harp soundfont too.

NeoS: Uh, did you read the first post? Kojiro said about everything, but let me give a more complete answer...

Well, since the author is me, by "guys" I picture out everybody in this forum. I hope nobody ever decides to post this on OCremix, or they would laugh at me very bad. This definitely is not on the standard OCremix quality. Even if it were, like Kojiro stated, this is not an arrangement, and OCremix would give to any music here a NO OVERRIDE.

There are three reasons why I am not going to bother any of the artists at OCremix, which are:
1) This is not an arrangement, they have no reason to waste their time with it.
2) Like I stated, this is a personal project. I don't need any help for what would be doing exactly what I'm willing to do.... nor would KojiroTakenashi, for that matter.
3) I'm not a professional musician, and this is just a hobbie, so I don't really care about producing something "big", if you know what I mean.

About your musics... I think I've heard this drum before. KeyArdency? Well, anyway.
I didn't like the Bombing Mission either. Cid is nice, so is the Fighting theme, but the string fails sometimes, almost like the tones are out of range.
Also, I would like to know: Why the musics have big empty spaces when they finish? I just got curious.

About my remixes: I just finished Interrupted and Jenova Battles. Interrupted is already recorded, but Jenova not, and I won't be able to record it so soon because I'm currently rendering a *big* 3D image (1600*1280, 1.700.000 polygons, HDRI + 30 lights, over 40 textures of about 1600*1200 resolutions, you picture out) on my crappy Athlon XP 2100+ @1700, which means my computer cannot afford any other process than the render, which might take about three days.

If someone wants to donate a better CPU (who knows, perhaps there are rich people here) to me, thanks (I hope someone take it seriously..)

Cheers

the spaces... it's a bug in FL i guess.

You're right about the OCR thing. But if you need help in arranging some tracks, just ask.

you guys ever thought about posting this project on OCremix.org? I think there'll be lots of talented artist who'd be willing to help out.
By the way, that bombing mission... no. sorry.
Here.
And here.
And a new one, here.
If you need more, ask me.

General Discussion / FF7 PSP?

Isn't that with all FF games? If you take out Moogles, Chocobos & Summons, you just have a simple RPG. That's what makes FF.

You know what would really be awesome? If those soldiers you see in the background there would have their hi-res models. Then the intro would look a helluva lot cooler! Is that even possible?

Don't you think that's done like, a thousand times before?
Just wait and see. I have given up hope on a new FF7 long ago.

Hmm. Let's say we get to the Nibelheim part. 2 kids, Cloud & Tifa. Could be a problem.
Another one: Zack. And of course Sephiroth (but he has two battlemodels, so that shouldn't be a problem)

Then we have the Turks, and Dyne.
I think you'll have the most of the models covered then.
