FF9 Tools / Re: [WIP/REL 0.4b] Memoria - FFIX Save editor

Just thought I'd ask if extra options to alter the number of thefts and various variables in the chocobo side quest (option to receive and set the flag for a chocograph's completion, chocobo colour (Yellow, light blue, red, dark blue and gold), point modifier (for buying things from the moogle in the gardens (forest, lagoon and air garden))) or options to set sidequest flags (either say they're completed or not, or for multi-part quests set how much has been done, like the friendly creatures sidequest)

General Discussion / Re: PS-PC USB2.0 Convert V

One thing you could try is (if you have a ps3 controller) downloading a program called Motioninjoy, which acts like an interpreter between the ps3 controls and the computer, enabling the use of the ps3 controller as a joypad. I have used this to play both pc versions of final fantasy as well as other games. Just thought I would put this out there so that people with this problem may have a solution. It *may* work with the ps2/psx controls, although I would have thought that the psx-usb port would work automatically. Are you sure it is for PSX controllers and not PS2 controllers, because sometimes the manufacturers may design it for one system only. That may be the issue in this case.

During the fight with Ultimecia in FFVIII, I managed to get renzokuken to perform the Fated Circle final attack. At the end of the animation, the damage was normal for the two helixes previously created (if I remember correctly, it was during the Ultimecia-Griever phase (the third phase, after Griever is defeated), but the Ultimecia-Griever itself had an abnormally large amount of damage (something like 999 999 999 999 999, but this was a while ago and I cannot remember exactly, although it was large). This was with the psx/psn version, unmodded and no cheats were used at all. Has anyone else encountered this glitch (may happen with other enemies, just I saw it happen with this particular battle), and know how to trigger it (being able to deal such large amounts of damage , unless it damages the console (ps3) or the game, would be good), or if said glitch can damage the game, prevent it.

Troubleshooting / Re: Griever editor help please!

I have no problems playing PS1 games (FF VIII for example) on my PS3...

As far as I know, the PS3 can play PS1 games, but cannot play PS2 games.
That is right, also, the games must be 'real' i.e. on the original disc, but all ps3's can play the old psx games. Only the old 60 GB models of ps3 can play ps2 games, although I heard that if you messed around with the hardware on the 2nd gen ps3's (any size) then it would be fully backwards compatible as the software for the emulation of ps2 graphics was still there, even though the EmotionEngine interface was removed. 3rd gen (new ones and any slimline one) are not able to do this.

What settings should be applied for the driver. I just downloaded it (v 0.7.11b) and have no idea on what settings to change in the ff8_opengl.cfg file. If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be great. Thanks in advance
