Title: Final Fantasy & Parasite Eve PSX
Post by: Alhexx on 2001-08-05 18:54:00
I'm posting this, b'cause I've got no PSX (or PS2  :( ) and I've got some questions 'bout the format of the files on the PSX CDs (that's why I didn't post this in the General Forum).

The point is: the only PSX game I have ('till now) is Parasite Eve (2).

So I wanted to ask: Which files are on the FF7 PSX CDs? There are only few files on the PE CDs: Stage0.cdf, Dummy.dmy, Inter0.str (movies), ...

Is FF organized the same way? Or has it got a file system like FF7 Win, with all it's folders, LGP files and so on? And if not, how do you get the FF7 PSX Files out of the PSX 'archives' (I guess I should have called this topic 'Ripping PSX'   )

You might want to take a look at this:-

Anyway, FF7PC deals with the files in a different way compared to the PSX. The PC compacts all the files into LGP's. Most new games seem to pack all their files nowadays. FF8 PSX for example stores everything in 2 files. Basically, it doesn't really matter.
