Actually, FileFront isn't dying. It got bought out during last 24 hours before closing.

Agreed with the above. Master Tonberry.

Carry Armor was a problem for me my first time through.
as was Materia Keeper.  Trine can mess you up if you're underleveled.
Last time I played though, Helletic/Lifeform hojo actually gave my problems.  Mostly with the combo move and the status effects.

Ribbons and Hojo becomes easy free frag.

A lot of stuff was decreased in quality for PC version, most likely including the FMVs. That's why I prefer to play the PSX version on my PSP :>

Once again I'm going to repeat, stop whining about legality when this forum is all about something just as evil as pirating.
What I'm saying here is the fact, it's all about reverse engineering. Modifying game files, ripping content, editing it is all violating the EULA, so please keep that pirate nonesense to yourself.

Ruby Weapon...

82
Just go to 1st or 2nd page, don't remember exactly which one was it, and you'll find my upload with all dissidia gmo files.

83
It stopped being funny ages ago... old 4chan jokes are old, think of something new seriously.

84
Too bad I expected what's going to be under the link seeing as today's 1st of April.
Nice try though, next time you might want to use something different than this overused meme though.

Troubleshooting / Re: FF X International
« on: 2009-03-31 19:54:43 »
They are simple reskins that use same animation set as defauly aeons so all that's needed is manual swap of model files on .iso level or a AR/CB code for swapping them.

Troubleshooting / Re: Play the PC on PSX

I'ts like... trying to beat the 4 disk FF7 with only one disk. or trying to put a dvd in a VCR player, just wont work  :-P

o_O FF7 never had 4 disks... It's always been 3 disk game.

87
It would be nice to have GMO support for other PSP games, especially Dracula X Chronicles (It also has some models that would be lovely to rip), aswell as possibility to extract the models with weighting data.

About the above screenshot, that's how exactly it looks ingame :P So far it's best graphics game for PSP, atleast in my opinion.

88
Well, you've got the point. I pretty much collect all Final Fantasy related models in one catalogue on my HDD but I simply never cared to play Ehrgeiz, the fact it was mainly fist and kicks based always put me off.

89
You need to visit these forums more :P Recently thanks to Koral's and MrAdult's (Aswell as thanks to Vash's Dissidia Extractor) efforts porting models from Crisis Core and Dissidia became possible.

Also, I made something yesterday which might interest you guys. Seeing as Dissidia Sephiroth is more detailed than Crisis Core one, I decided to edit it to resemble classic Sephiroth look because the Dissidia one is based on Amano's artworks, not Nomura's. This render was done totally in a rush, so I haven't added alpha layer or proper lighting.

Here's how it looks without any texture edits:

If you'd be interested I could make the skin colors match on torso and head, shoulderpads and so on.

90
I wonder why bother with Ehrgeiz though, seeing as there are better models for usage in Crisis Core, Dissidia and JK3 community.

91
Here are my Top10 other than Final Fantasy, don't mind the order since I treat them all pretty much equally.

1. Super Mario RPG (Yes, the great Square game that nobody seems to remember now) - SNES
2. Golden Sun - GBA
3. Castlevania Symphony of the Night (For me it's a RPG, say whatever you want :P) - PSX/PSP
4. Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+
5. Grandia 2 and 3 - PS2
6. Soma Bringer - DS
7. Pokemon Gold - GBC
8. Chrono Trigger - SNES/PSX/DS
9. Brave Story - PSP
10. Rogue Galaxy - PS2

92
I got the tools from alucard.cc forums, koral.
They are public forums for game hackers (mainly consoles) but I doubt Vash would be angry if you added them to the Wiki page.
I also wanted to put up a table on the wiki with all file formats found on Dissidia .iso but it seems the wiki won't let me register :/

Try megaupload or mediafire, both are good.

94
That's a lie actually. Pirated games are as good as originals as long as they aren't modified (Ultima edition has modified executables which causes problems with compatibility) so if you really have to get pirated copy, make sure it's not Ultima edition. Of course if you want to stay legal, then buy the game instead of pirating it.

95
Hey there and welcome to Qhimm :P

I replied to your question on Rich's website but in case you haven't read there, here it is again..

Quote
I don't have any problems with exporting o.O
I'm using a .bat file that I edit for every file I want to export, here it is if you want to use it:

mesh2rdm File003761.gmo Kefka.smd -dissskip 1 -texpre Kefka -rotate -90 0 0 -scale 1.0 -smdout

That line will export you god form kefka ;P

And no, neither Dissidia nor Crisis Core models extract with animations. Crisis Core ones extract with weighs so you can move the skeleton and pose the model but Dissidia models don't, since Rich didn't really focus on getting Dissidia skeleton exported, which isn't really a problem anyway if you know how to use 3d software :P

96
Whatever they used for lighting and special effects in Crisis Core, they used it again in Dissidia. Just look at models of levels from Dissidia and then at any gameplay with that level, ingame it's looking a lot better.

97
Nice to see this update, however most of those details mentioned must have been very minor (Except for Bartz cape which was obvious).
Do you plan on ever trying to figure out the weighting data? If not, then it's not a problem anyway since I actually prefer to pose models manually with vert selection, allows me for more precision.

98
I made a full filelist with descriptions, I tried to make it clean too, I know ultima espio was already working on one but seeing as it wasn't full, I decided to post my own, here it is:

I believe some PC monitors actually offer that feature by default. But as for software, I don't really know one and as far as I know it can't be done in ATI panel.

Make sure to include multiple names for the .gmo's that contain multiple models (Press Enter while in viewer to see if there is any other model)
