I can actually download the file, but when I open it  I get an error message saying "the Archive is either in unknown format or damaged".

It's down again. Can you please get it back up? I'd love to give this a whirl.

Releases / Battle model > Field model Conversion FINALLY!!
« on: 2005-10-03 16:16:32 »
Sure. Here's some pics I took of it a while ago.

(Ignore the strange character names there, it was just came from using the debug room >_>)

I'll take some more pics later if you like, if I get round to playing it again.

You didn't ask for this one specifically, but I think it is rather noteable.

And, just because I've always wondered about this:

Why does Vicent's model do that? Patch or no? Something wrong with his coding or something?

Nothing to do with Reunion's patch. Vincent's model has always been messed up during that portion of the game.

Oh, yes. Oh, yes. I knew that keeping track of this topic would pay off. Thank you very much for all your hard work, Reunion.

EDIT: After a bit of play I've found there is a lot of slowdown during certain sequences, usually whem all the party members are on the screen. Particularly during the Aeris death sequence. I seem to remember there being some slowdown in that area even before the patch, but it seems to be far worse. Even during the battle mode there was slowdown. Anyone else experiencing this?

General Discussion / Final Fantasy VII - Last Order OVA
« on: 2005-07-05 16:57:41 »
Moo. Here comes Final Fantasy VII, the SquareEnix cash cow! Come on, this really is getting ridiculous. I wish they'd work harder on giving us something different instead of all these unecessary spin-offs. Perhaps then we wouldn't have to wait so long for FFXII to see the light of day.

Archive / Getting FF9 (PSX-UK-PAL) to Work on ePSXe

I remember searching for that patch months ago and failed miserably in finding it. Every single link that I tracked down was dead. All I can say is, I hope you have better luck.

General Discussion / FF7 PSP?
« on: 2005-06-13 19:10:53 »
I agree that FFXI felt nothing like a FF game. If you took out the familiar Square elements like chocobo, moogles, and summons then it would be completely unrecognisable as part of the series.

That's great, Borde. I never actually realised the head portion used in the railmap scene had that much detail on it. I can't remember exactly what Jessie's field model looks like but it looks to me like it will be fine once her top is sorted.

Archive / Get Aeris to stop being a default member?
« on: 2005-06-06 15:24:36 »
Hmm... I tried it and couldn't seem to get the memory editor to work properly. When I tried to set the task to FF7.exe I couldn't find it in the list of available tasks. I'll try again  later. Thanks for replying by the way.

Troubleshooting / FF7 problems crashing at first encounter
« on: 2005-05-31 15:35:00 »
Are you using XP? I remember having that problem when I was running the demo, and I used the compatability wizard to make the game run in Windows 98 mode. Then it was fine.

Nice pics. Seems like you're making pretty good progress Reunion. Looking forward to the next installment.

General Discussion / FF7 PSP?
« on: 2005-05-27 14:53:51 »
No plans to remake FFVII on the PSP, but FFVII: Crisis Core, one of the spin offs, will be released on it. Find what little information there is on it at http://www.gamespot.com/psp/rpg/crisiscorefinalfantasyvii/index.html?q=final+fantasy+vii

And of course, Advent Children will be available on the PSP as a UMD movie.

Archive / Anti-potty. Anyone...?
« on: 2005-05-27 01:13:56 »
I really don't see what there is censor. The little actual swearing that there was in the original game was taken out when it was ported to the PC, and I hardly think it is worth the time and effort taking out every minor cuss. Do what you will. I do feel for your cousin though. It does sound like he has rather overprotective parents.

Troubleshooting / Jenova Bug
« on: 2005-05-25 23:04:02 »
Giving yourself a chocobo with Jenova when it is impossible to own any stables yet is a no no. Take it out again and you'll be fine probably.

Wow. Very nice.

I tried the wm folder. The only LGP file in there is 'world_us', and that didn't seem to work either.

The data for the world map characters is in a different LGP file, if I remember correctly.

Do you know which one exactly? I randomly tried the flevel file but to no avail.

And while I'm posting I may as well ask: Reunion, do you plan on replacing the non party member field models that have battle models too? E.g. Elena, Hojo, Palmer, Rufus...

Is high res battle model Cloud supposed to appear on the world map as well? It doesen't for me, and I'm not sure if that simply hasn't been included yet or I have done something wrong.

Archive / Get Aeris to stop being a default member?
« on: 2005-05-20 15:43:16 »
Anyone? It wouldn't be a huge problem, but it makes it impossible for me to use her for the final battle, since when the game forces her into the party roster and I am forced to make a team, I can't take her out of it either.

Oooh... fantastic. The battle models actually fit in a lot better than I had originally thought. Keep up the good work, Reunion!

Archive / Get Aeris to stop being a default member?
« on: 2005-05-15 12:49:33 »
I'll keep this short. Using Qhimm's exquisite JENOVA trainer I have Aeris back into the party, but since the last time she was legitimately in the party at the temple of the ancients she was a default member, it is impossible for me to take her out of the party and sit her in the roster. Instead, I need to swap her in and out of the party with JENOVA again every time I want to get rid of her. Is there any way to get around this? I'd prefer her to act like an ordinary member instead.

Thank you.

General Discussion / What's the Difference?
« on: 2005-05-06 18:27:08 »
The UK version is exactly the same as the American one. Square don't care enough about Europe to make a fuss over what gets censored specifically for us, we just get a direct port of what they have done with the American version.

Archive / FFVIII: Way to make the text smoother?
« on: 2005-05-04 21:14:51 »
In my FFVIII PC version, all the text is very jaggy and a bit hard to read. I've seen pics were the text is smoother so I know there is a way to sort this. Anyone know how?
