One big patch topic - my proposition
« on: 2007-06-17 07:44:47 »
Hi guys,

I don't know about you, but I'm really getting tired of searching for new version of patches for FF7.
The managment of the forum should create one sticked topic which would include all the available patches with WORKING links and some descriptions needed for interested people.

Now, I'm experiencing a real chaos here, can't find what I'm looking for and also many links don't really work. I hope, you will understand me :-)

Well, to be honest with you, I do understand very well why someone new here wouldn't find this page.  It kinda hard to find, even once you found the wiki.  I really think this page should be more visible.  It look like some underground page that you can only see by finding a link in some threads (threads that are dead for some time in many case).

Well one piece of advice is to not even complain regardless of your searching being fruitful or not, as if a mod is in a bad mood you get banned like that (Fingers click) and searching through cluttered obsolete topics are a rite of passage here in Qhimm...

Yeah, especially as there are only 10 posts per day in the tweak board... just search in 5-6 pages of topic you'll find your bliss . I know some forums (for PSP for exemple) where there are 150 pages of topics to search ....

Eh, there is this page also:
http://www.ff7-universe.com/Download.html

Anf this one also:

Oh just shut up, I'm here for 4-5 years, but got my old account lost.

The second link is really great, includes all the needed things - thx.
But still it's hard to find it, so you should stick the topic.

I agree about the stickying of this link, plus that would permit the rapidshare links to stay alive.

My personal favorites, if you permit, are the following:

- TrueMotion codec
- ff7 v1.02 official patch
- Jedwin's chocobo patch
- Yet Another Multi-Patcher (only the Mini Games Patcher)
- ff7music (to be used with ff7 OSTs, for greater effect)

This link, as you say, was a compilation by Miracle.Flame , and some here didn't agree with him (he also torrent the whole compilation of patchs ...)

But Yeah it's really usefull, for me nevertheless.
