Where I live its legal to rewrite c++ from assembler, because its your own work as long as you don't have been given a zip file of Squaresoft or Eidos code.

The FF VII engine is that big, that you better do it semi automatic like with
The state of the art multi platform open source decompiler:

Blender 2.72 has some improvements for you.I 'm sure you want to re-render all the .blends.

If you ask me,I would get a Radeon HD 7750 or 7790.The same architecture to the R7 series but less shader units and heat and cheaper because its old.

If you leave the Red Wizards of Thay, then you could make a FF9 in FF7PC mod.Just find a serf that rewrites every rooms field script.

Now you can texture the Grangalan family.

The GPU is OpenGL ES 1.1, so no shaders supported.

I am not taking part in this project so a bit off topic
but I still use a dual Pentium III 1260mhz that can take up to 4GB RAM.

Portable to everything?
Oh..no FFVII PC rewritten in Java.

I remember the FX5000 series was marketed as "movie like special effects" but magazine reviewers found the 2.0 shaders very slow.
There were faster AGP cards out, up to Radeon 4650 or Geforce 7900.
Even the old 440BX boards could use Radeon 9800 Pro with R360 chip or GeForce 6200 and some 6800 and a Tualatin PIII.

FFVII PSX ran on my phones from 2005 and 2008 via emulator.

Look where the Churchill family lived, not to speak about questionable things in his career.

Did you make high-res panties, too?

Console?
It will be a DRM crippled 8 core AMD PC with a new controller design and playing digital downloads.
Xbox 1 on steroids.

Recompiling Blender with different compiler flags will decrease render time even on slower CPUs.

« on: 2012-11-29 19:14:57 »
Someone made a own soundfont from FF7 SF2 and others he found but the last version combined it with the "One Winged Angel" choir font so I cant use it for normal MIDI playback.

What if I quote IT experts that say the Antivirus industry are like medieval wonder medicine sellers?

IDA Pro 6.1(leaked last year) can help you to get a C representation of the executable but its a lot of work with FF7 structures and fixing the bugs in the decompiler output + no MIPS support.

I like the Wii U because it is different from a crippled PC(Xbox 1) and using 2GB RAM(N$ hardware scare on RAM) it would made a nice PowerMac replacement, but it has DRM..
$ony Vita is like Apple's products, looks nice but an overpriced smartphone inside.

General Discussion / Re: Porting FFX to PC
« on: 2012-11-11 09:25:50 »
I would like FF IX on PC.It doesn't look that rushed as other titles or they had more developers.
But I can't change FFVII PC to include FF IX features because the code has changed a lot.

A PS2 is more like an N64 with more RAM and a DVD-ROM drive than a PS1.
The PS1 features are packed into one chip on the PS2.

I hope a new build of the hex-rays decompiler will leak.

because PHP is better used in games than in blogs.

It would look funny if anyone makes a Gold/Silver MMORPG (PHP would do)
