Just saw this and it made me wonder... if all of Final Fantasy 7 was cel shaded then it would look sweet!

This may be something several people on here would be interested in doing so I just brought it up.

I am currently playing through the hardcore mod and I am loving every minute of it as usual.

But, I will say one thing about Final Fantasy 7. It was ment to be easy. I am not bashing the hardcore mod, but I just have to say that if you want to really think about it, the game was ment to be easy.

The fact that the game was easy helped the overall storyline of the game. It was so well balanced and you were never away from the story for to long trying to level up. It was the perfect way to do it.

It was just really well paced and you were never forgetting what just happenned that was important to the story.

People say, "oh Final Fantasy 7 isn't the best FF game because it's to easy." Mainly FF6 fanboys have said this to me.

Sorry, but I found Final Fantasy 6's story to get stale because it took so long to level up to make it so I could beat certain parts of the game, especially at the beginning of the World of Ruin.

Ok, I hear fraps is pretty good, but here is the thing.

I need to know what is a good screen recorder and how to use it.

I am going to be using it for tutorials, but also FF7, so basically... what is a good screen recorder and how would I use it for ff7.

Troubleshooting / FF7 Chocobo patch causes Trojan.Gen

Everything here is insignificant now as the custom driver patch will be all i need.

But, for anyone who wants to run the chocobo patch.

It causes Trojan.Gen so do not use it. I have downloaded several different types and my virus protector has stopped it every time.

General Discussion / FF7 - Adding Content, Heavy Modding - I'm new to modding, help

Hello, new user Travis here.

I searched, but I found no in-depth guide on how to mod certain things so I am just going to post.

I recently played through Final Fantasy 7 again and I have decided that I want to mod it. I want to do several things because I love the game and I just want to add more in-depth sidequests. Similar to Chrono Trigger's sidequests in the fact that they are optional, but are useful and are very in-depth.

The main reason I want to edit it, is that I can beat Final Fantasy 7 in under 35 hours, just playing it casually. This is without doing the chocobo races or beating the weapons. I could probably do that in under 50 hours.

Either way, I want the game to be a longer experience.

So, I am wanting to know if it is possible to add on areas, sidequests, and a new dungeon or two. What I need to know also, is it possible to import backgrounds? I plan to make it possible to do only after certain things are complete and such as well.

Basically I am wanting to add an in-depth sidequest to revive aeris because with all the rumors... why not do it.

This will involve text editing and so much more. I really hope I can pull this off and if anyone wants to help me get my feet wet and help out even more than that then I am welcoming it. I figured since nothing is released yet and I need to learn a few things first I might as well post in the general forum.

So, anyway this is possible?
