First off, please deactivate everything except ESUI and report if and when it crashes.

Secondly, deactivate the standalone ESUI and try using it from User Interface - 3.0 from the Qhimm Catalog.

Enjoying your 2.0 version very much. Curious, is it possible to enable all boxes (field/battle) to be transparent like the help box?

This has been developed and a new build will go out after has had some testing.

Also the OP will be updated over the next couple of days, I was busy helping with the 7h launch.

I have tried this time with only User Interface installed and enabled or with only Enhanced Stock installed and enabled and i keep getting the same error.

I took a screenshot the error i am getting. It is a game driver error right when the game launches. See below drop box links with image of the crash, APP.LOG and Crash.dmp if that helps. I wanted to attach these directly to the post but it seems i do not have that option.

Try excluding ff7.exe and 7th heaven.exe in any security software you have installed, including the windows DEP if you have that set to non default behaviour.

So after installing ESUI Controller Addon i click on Auto sort and it duplicates it self in the mod list and shuts off other mods

Hello,

I recently decided to get back to FF7. I saw this mod, it looks great. The devs in the community are doing a terrific job.

Is there anything special I need to do in order to get this mod working?

I installed the game (from the original discs), then installed 7th Heaven (ver 2.0.3.406), and then downloaded this mod via 7th Heaven.

So far it is the only Mod I have installed, however, for whatever reason it is not applying. :(

I excluded ff7.exe and 7th Heaven.exe in Windows Defender.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Ok Flash0429, please do this to resolve this problem.

Remove the mod from 7h, using the trashcan icon, if you have to, do this for each duplicate as well.
Close down 7h, and relaunch it, very important this step.
Check there is no instances of it in the library (my mods)
Download it again from the catalog, the problem should then be solved.

Felagrog, your textures are failing to load, and you running the game from a protected folder, I suggest you move it to a folder that doesnt have the game inside "program files".  Then reconfigure 7h to point to the new folder, and it should work properly then.

ok so upon going to Golden Saucer and attempting to purchase a ticket the dialogue box breaks it it only shows one line of text all the way up to purchase then after purchase completely freezes on the final dialogue it only does this when the ESUI Controller Addon is Active and for both options in the mod

Hi

Loving the mod, just starting to get back into FF7 again, want to replay it before the remake lands so thought I'd check some mods out as I've never tried modding FF7 before. Signed up to share this strange bug, seems to only happen when playing anything above 720p resolution either fullscreen or window mode. The bug happens with Item and Magic commands as well.



Also had a bugged dialogue box with the guy at the bottom of the pillar in sector 7 but silly me didn't screen shot that and have already saved past that point.  :oops:

I'm using 7th Heaven 2.0 to install everything (except Remako FMVs and PS1 music which I installed manually). I only have various qhimm's community mods active plus the Enchanced UI + Controller Addon and Remako menu avatars. If I knew how to supply a log of some sort I would but this is all very new to me and I can't seem to find anything.

what is the exact resolution been used please, many people play above that resolution so its not a generic 720+ thing.

Although the OP is currently out of date, I will still say I only support resolutions that maintain the same AR as the original game and ideally multiples of 640x480.

Thank you for getting back to me.  :) Turns out I got it slightly wrong, I apologise. So 1280x720 doesn't work, 1280x960 does work which ties in with the whole multiples of 640x480 resolution thing you've mentioned. I must have just got mixed up somewhere.

The max display resolution available to me is 1920x1080 so haven't tried anything above that. 1400x1050 and 1440x1080 are both broken the same as my screenshot. When you say multiples, does that multiplier need to be an integer for your mod? eg. 640x480 * 2 is okay but 640x480 * 2.25 isn't?

I don't mind being locked to 1280x960, it is still much better looking than the original.

I also tried disabling all other mods and that made no difference so what you have suggested is probably correct for the glitch I saw in the screenshot above. However, even playing at 1280x960 yields some broken text boxes (with other mods enabled). Along with the guy at the bottom of the pillar, Cloud's materia tutorial had some glitches and a dialogue choice between Cloud and Tifa in the bar shortly before the next reactor mission.

I could try playing through those parts again with only your mod at 1280x960 and see what happens?

Great Work!!! In the 7th Heaven, i´ts possible change the buttons in psx layout? Im my control in the game, X is in O, Triangle is in square, and i wish to correct this. Help please.

Update rolled out for both mods.

The misordered psx controls on config screen was known about for a few days, but since i dont have a psx controller to hand I couldn't really test it, but should now be ok.  This did not affect actual controls in the game or in dialog boxes, it was cosmetic on the config screen only.  I did not version bump the mod, so delete the ESUI mod in 7h, and redownload it, should then get the fix.

The issues reported with the dialog boxes not drawing properly in gold saucer and midgar section 7, should now be fixed.  ESUI controller addon, I did bump the version so can just update it normally (after catalog is updated).  You can grab before the catalog see's the new version by deleting the mod and redownloading it.

I'do this and dind't work, my controler it's not the psx original, it´s a generic multilaser with the psx layout. Has some way to configure this?

If its got a different button mapping to psx in its programming, then I dont know, this is really just to support native psx and xbox controllers.
