7th Heaven / 7th Heaven doesn't launch the game

I have a copy of FF7 bought on Steam, recently installed 7th Heaven to fix the faces of NPCs in game. Before adding 7th Heaven to the antivirus' whitelist, it aborted the game launch with "Unknown error when launching the game: Access to the path 'D:\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\dinput.dll' is denied.", most likely due to the .dll injection. After adding it to the whitelist, it seemed to work at first during launch, but eventually it just freezes on endless loading while attempting to inject mod with AppLoader, and the game doesn't start.
I have the latest versions of both 7th Heaven and FFNx, running program as an administrator doesn't fixes the problem.
How do I fix that? Thanks in advance for answering
