Actually, would NAT have to be enabled for Time Machine to work?
It just occurred to me that I have Time Machine running on my home computer. Apparently, that requires some kind of proxy to work (don't look at me, I never knew this, it wasn't even my idea to install it
). Come to think of it, I never got the problem when I wasn't at home, so I guess that must be it then.
@Bosola: I remember trying to get onto the forums with an AOL connection a long time ago. Don't ask me why - the context is complicated. But yeah, the forums completely rejected me (100% of the time), only with a different message, telling me that AOL is a no-no. (So I connected to my neighbor's wireless network and used that instead
)
