Ok, well you can pretty much buy 3 used ones for 1 new. At least one of them has got to work. I got mine from ebay and mine works.

I successfully played through ff7 with a gamecube controller ($5 usb adapter) and it worked great.

What do you mean 'back-up'? Is this a downloaded game? I don't even think it's possible to run ff7 (or any program at that matter) without some kind of executable file...

Also just out of curiousity, how did you "get it from Eidos?"

Well, if its not programming based, how do you plan on implementing your features, etc? Menus? Basically RPG Maker(s), Gamemaker and Hephateus are all menu-operated with minimal scripting. Personally I use Torque as my game engine but it costs about $100...

RPG Maker XP sucks. I know from experiance, plus, its for noobs. Better to download a free (btw, RPG Maker XP English version is slightly illegal) graphics engine like Ogre3d and program it yourself.

Just use Jenova to give your new game party the same stats as the one you finished with.

 As for implimenting the actual feature... That would be tricky. I'm sure dziugo (the master) could do it though if he wanted to.
