hello, I'm back temporarily... i have my old computer back and the 0039 still isn't working and it might be the malware symptoms i am having. my new computer has them as well but the 0039 bfe.exe does work on it but not on my old computer i was wondering if you can use the same code or coding or something as the 0037 has? (if its not too late of course) cause 0037 works but 39 doesn't nor 0038. thank you I'll be checking back from time to time...

oh and i have uninstalled everything ff vii PC related except for my saves of course, and my backup of my preferred graphic enhancements. any way thanks for all the hard work you are doing to make ff7 better :)

Do you have the .NET framework 2.0 installed?

Q:Why does BFE.exe fail to run with the error "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)"?
A:You need to install the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 from: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=19

and thats not the issue it just opens the bootleg title and than closes it nothing else no error or nothing

the link you posted says "We are sorry, the page you requested cannot be found." can you give me another link please?

>1gig ram
how the heck does this even run windows?
and jesus christ, a ten year old DELL desktop? even cheap ass second-hand laptops are better than that now.
I'd be surprised if ff7 would even run with any graphic mods on that old thing

The correct link for the .NET Framework 2.0 is ---> http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=22808

Make sure you delete all of the old Bootleg files.
It's best to start with a clean folder when you extract the Bootleg archive.

Or just get 3.5 SP1 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=22. Includes everything you need for .NET apps except 4+(4 does not include earlier versions like 3.5 does) which is separate.

I'm afraid that's not even enough for a fully modded FFVII installation.

I'm afraid that's not even enough for a fully modded FFVII installation.

yes i know its not enough i had all of them downloaded and ready to go i was waiting for the new release but i had to make room but i can't believe i removed the custom apz cloud mode i put together by using some oldish and newish versions of apz cloud field and battle and about that...
hey @PitBrat i would like to know how to use the custom models directory that comes with bootleg0039.zip? cause i had some fun with the different versions i had apz cloud field and battle (looked exactly the same) with apz bustersword battle and field (and in some cut scenes like cloud pulling out his sword). i was wondering if that was against the creator of apz project's rules? if so I'm sorry for doing that and cause i thought that was against the rules i didn't upload it, or change any models, just combinations of different ones. and another thing i don't like uploading at all because i might get in real trouble. anyway... back to my question. when will the new ff7 bootleg release be (approximately)? sorry for the long post.

Anyone know when the torrent of all the files will be available?

Also almost all of the Mediafire links are dead.

Thanks.

EQ2Alyza is doing an amazing job maintaining the torrent and installation tutorial.
Check out the thread-- Tifa's Bootleg.

Bootleg .040 has all updated, working links for however long that lasts.

The final RC is available for testing.  PM me for your beta testing opportunity!
If you are chosen as a member of the elite beta testing team, please respond back with your testing results even if you simply say that everything worked flawlessly.

Bootleg .040 should be available in time for the winter solstice.

Just so everyone knows, it's looking real good.

Can you run FF VII with bootloader and have Steam overlay?

Or is there display driver issue and it just can't be done?

Thanks.

Ok, here's the plan i have 22.8 GB free in my third hard drive and i'm going to download the torrent wich is 15.67 GB will that be enough for the mods and to install them as well? i just want the apz cloud that i installed myself just last night and the P.R.P. project that i got when it was available yes i still have it just in case it was ever gone but anyway my other question is i bought the 2012 remake just so i can have the option of original(2012 without mods) and mods(1997 with mods) but one thing the 97 version will crash (literally restart my comp) when the meteor texture with no mods (other than apz cloud and ff7_opengl-0.7.11b) is supposed to appear in the north it did that 2 years ago than stopped for some reason, but is there a way to fix that issue some how? thank you for all the work you've done in the past year or two ill be looking forward to the next release hoping that it will run like 0037 unlike 0038 and 0039. see ya till i have torrent done.

this time it didnt restart my comp it just crashed the game and it wasnt the meteor it was something else? idk what but it was to the west of correl area by the beach of the place where hojo is on the beach (sorry i forgot what its called cause i havent played the game since 2002 on the ps1 ): any way i dont know what is over there but it crashes without the custom graphics driver for but with it it restarts my pc (weird huh?)

There is a memory leak with the OpenGL driver.
The game will eventually crash after extended periods of running.
Avoid pausing the game during battles.
Pausing during battles exacerbates the leak.
