Oh well, at least I tried to defend him, after all, these are Qhimm's forums.  I wash  my hands to whatever happens.

Dudes, come on, cut him some slack, he is still a kid and doesn't even have a clue what he is talking about.  You should all know by now what the type of comments he makes.  Just let him be.

Lets not start to make this thread into a Joey bashing fest.

However, let me enjoy a little bit of it.

Quote from: Joey
Xbox elimated this problem by directly outputing the data directly from the DVD to the TV(DirectX techonology).

O_o  WTF are you talking about?  So you are telling us that a graphics card and a CPU are now useless in a PC or video game console system?

Quote from: Joey
Having a split personality is tough, huh.

As Caddberry says

Shut up, Joey

Well, I just had to release that from my system, but really, Joey, no offense, don't post about something you don't really know or pay the price (flaming).

Nay, FFXI didn't impress me.  Doesn't even look like an FF game.  Kingdom Hearts will save Squaresoft's ass.

SWEEEEEEET :o !!!!!!   Oh, FMVs, imagine the FMVs.  Hey, I think this guy could be definately a good help for the project.  SWEEEET!!!!

hey, hades, do you have longer FMVs?  I want more.  MORE.

-vvalentine

Edit:  Oi, can you do an FMV with FF7 characters?  Like a battle scene or something?  I would love to see something like that.  If I had the ability, I would do it.

I like the levels, but wouldn't it be cool to have some description title other than the newbie, crazy poster, no life titles.  I mean, we can keep those titles, but we can have something that describes us, like for example, Alhexx "a heartbroken cyberstalker", Caddberry "tripped out dude", Qhimm "the forum deity", something like that.  We can be able to edit those descriptions.

Yggdrasil is also an item in Ragnarok Online, but I don't know about Mana.  But to be honest, I don't know which game it is.  So my random guess is RO.

Well, Joey, maybe you have a good vision, but I need dark colors because light colors are much too bright for my eyes (seriously it hurts :x ).  I have the contrast and brightness low on the monitor, but sometimes I can't see the text.

Anyone can find info about FFVII remake.  If you type on google "final fantasy VII" remake, you get links to qhimm's and ficedula's site.

slow? you people have not experienced slowness.  How about 3k or 1k.  It's so slow it disconnects often.  That is why I am not going to cut off my DSL.  It's not a commodity, it's a necessity :P .

General Discussion / What happened to the forum?
« on: 2002-04-23 05:21:00 »
I wanted to check the forum like at 2 pm (pacific standard time) and there was a page that said (I can't remember well) something like Php error, check $somethinguser and some other stuff.  I couldn't access the board for a while until now (10:30 pm).  Later like at 2:30 pm I wasn't able to access qhimm's website.  Was this related to the board problem?  Well at least it's back.  :D

AMAZING, I could definately use this for my Win2K.  Thank you so much jedwin.  I think that the remake project is attracting really talented people.   With people like jedwin, Shinra Inc, and phaeron, the remake will definately progress faster.  :D

Well, some of you probably have known about this from a long time ago.  I know I'm one of them.  I have followed the improvements of this company and their products from the day they unveiled their crusoe processor.  I'm just letting you people that don't know that I have big hopes on this new processor, and what benefits this processor could bring.  I'm not going to describe stuff about the processor, I will only post the website and you people see by yourself.

 www.transmeta.com

I would like to know your comments on this one, since you people know more about the architecture of x86 processors more than me.

Note:  Linus Torvald is working with this company.

Edit:  If you think that this is spam or site advertisement, it is not.  I'm very interested on investing on this company, and what are the "not-so-obvious" advantages and disadvantages of this processor and Intel and AMD processors.

FFTactic_Boy:  Chances are that limit breaks would be included.

Kendrilian:  I don't think limit breaks would be unfair.  If it's going to be a game like Marvel vs Capcom.  It's like doing a special.  I guess in the game limit breaks wouldn't cause much damage.

No, I don't think summons would be included in the game, unless the character's special ability is summon (like rydia or kaze).  I guess they would have limit breaks though.

The only game that I know that used the SuperFX2 chip was Star Fox, but I definately don't think that's the answer.  It sounds to me like mechwarrior.  It also sounds like robotech (you know, from plane to stomping robot).

Capcom VS SquareSoft?  are you kidding?
I would be the first one to know if there was a fighting game with Capcom and SquareSoft characters in it.

General Discussion / Let say about "Kingdom Heart"
« on: 2002-04-12 20:21:00 »
AWESOME.

as weird as it looks, I think I already like it.  I saw the preview movie and it was cool.  Looks like Cloud is going to be appearing too.  I don't like Disney that much anymore, but somehow I felt nostalgic when I saw the preview of the game.  I would definately buy this game.

Who is the music composer for the game?  What is the name of the song in the preview?

-vvalentine

Edit:  Speaking on the topic of Disney.  As I recall, there was movie that they made and that it was banned in the US?  I think it was released in England.  It had something to do with religion.  I can't remember what the name was.

Does anyone know more news about this?

I read somewhere that Capcom and SquareSoft are planning to do a fighting game.  Kinda like Marvel vs Capcom, I guess.  The game development has not begun, but I believe this to be true (I guess squaresoft is liking the idea of working with other companies).

Anyone knows?  Please post more info about it.

All I can say about the game is that it's, BIZARRE  :o .

I didn't pay much attention to the game, but then I stumbled into an article about it and I saw reviews.  It is one freaking weird game, and that game is supposed to be targeted to children.  Even if it's mixed with disney and final fantasy characters, there is something that appeals me to the game.  I probably just have weird tastes.

All the software that is being used in the remake.  What compilers, Editors, 3D model editors, tools that help you extract certain files from the actual game, things like that.  I'm also wondering if the whole source code will be released.  I'm becoming more interested in the project now, and so I need to know how the whole game is being hacked up and put back together.  I know this is probably a topic for the private forum, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I wouldn't add "intelligent" to that, Kendrilian.  Even though Joey has improved in the way he posts, he does have a past of posting "not so intelligent" posts.  Other than that, way to go Joey, and keep up the good work.

I was checking the remake site, and I was wondering what tools are being used to do the remake?  Like, what languages are used, what compilers, editors, extraction tools, etc.  Especially the graphics editing (seph this is a question for you).

General Discussion / FF Mytic Quest
« on: 2002-04-10 12:28:00 »
I played FF mystic quest, and I am not ashamed to admit it.  I played it all through the end, yes, you all heard me, I played it ALL.  It's not really that bad, considering that you don't have nothing to do.  Other than that, I didn't like the thing that you couldn't keep the other character for a long time.  Oh yeah, and the story was crappy too.

Well, how about if this thread is closed and make another one, but instead of a game quiz, how about something like movies, anime, or music?  Just a proposition.  :D
