I've tried re-installing 7th Heaven & FF7 Steam on internal and external HDD but no joy...

I responded to you on YouTube. Your disk is probably read-only, or having hardware issues. 7H can't create a folder that it needs to. Try running a chkdsk and repair errors, or try another HDD/install location.

Hi, yep did see that thanks :)

I have tried installing 7th Heaven on both my external HDD & internal HDD - same thing... I have my FF7 Steam version of the games files on my external HDD.

I've tried starting up the 7th Heaven 2.0 software & as soon as I boot it I get an error stating:

After showing that message 7th Heaven closes down and I can't do anything. Do I have to put the install & game in a specific location?

I'm not really PC savvy so baffled as you can imagine. But would appreciate advice of course :)

Been looking forward to this, I'm not as technically tuned as many on this site, so hoping this will make modding FFVII easier - hoping to work on  this today so eagerly awaiting the release :) - Thanks to all the hard work in preserving these treasures :)

Hi,

Firstly I want to thank everyone here for all their hard work into modding titles I hold very dear, I'm very grateful.

I'm very new to the modding scene, as I recently got an upgraded PC- it won't blow your socks off, it was a cheap Business refurb model for £100... but it works just fine for my needs :) I've been looking into modding the Steam versions of Final Fantasy VII & VIII. I found my experience in modding FFVIII really easy, just download the folders and chuck them in the right directory. But my experience with VII is becoming a nightmare, I've tried the 7thHeaven program and even got the mods to load on the program to install but then it would not install them to the game itself.

So my main question is, is there a way to download MODS off this site to apply by putting the downloaded folders into the folder of the game like with FFVIII?

Like I said, I respect that 7thHeaven is a neat tool but I'm not quite as PC savvy to use it yet evidently.
