FFX Follow ups
« on: 2002-06-26 13:15:06 »
I've been hearing a lot about sequels to FFX. I heard soemthing about movies called "Yuna" and "Rikku" being shown somewhere. Squaresoft making a sequel to a FF?! Could someone please clarify what is going on?

Hmm.  I'd doubt it... but maybe.

i thought i had posted this....

yes, square is planning two sequels to final fantasy x. the code names are "Rikku" and "Yuna" and the movie you're probably thinking of came with FFX: International. You can't find the script at the GIA anymore.... but you can find it in avi format on kazaa.

How much did FFX EU version cost you ? And are there any significant changes (From US version) .....????
Cause I'm thinking of gettin' a PS2.. and FFX. Putting this plan on hold for the mom.... studies first   and anyway... uni won't allow TV.. so hopefully I can enter a good university near my place (well, if possible near London) so that I can use my PS2... if not... then I don't really think I will get it.

Just for your information, FFX: Another Story is not included in FFX PAL. Most likely because if they did they'd have to translate it, and bring in everyone in the voice cast again. Which would've delayed release and made the game more expensive.

Qhimm's right, FFX PAL doesn't have the FFX : Another Story. I just checked it a while ago. You can however find a fansub on FFX : Another Story. I know it exists cause I have it :P

Personally, I think that FFX : AS is unlikely to be released in English cause it would be a waste of resources. IF and I really mean IF they decide to release FFX : AS in English, it will only be released together with "FFX : Yuna" & "FFX : Rikku" (again this is a big IF and a rather wishful IF)

However, FFX PAL is based on FFX International (FFX : I)
In other words you get to choose to use the FFX : I sphere grid
You will also get to fight the dark aeons.
Sadly, saves from FFX NTSC (US) can't be loaded into FFX PAL. :(

Yep, just checked, no AS. What's the main difference between Normal and Expert Sphere Grids? I doubt I'll ever beat the Dark Aeons the good way. Well, Zanmato is good but not very satisfying. I doubt I'll ever beat Dark Yojimbo, I'd need 3 Yojimbo Overdrives, 2 Yuna Overdrives and a lot of cash. I'm not into the whole stat maxing thing... yet.

Expert grid has more forks. More paths to choose from, which intertwine to a greater degree than the default grid.

Oh, and stat maxing is cool. Maxed out strength on Tidus, Auron, and Yuna so far - meaning all the aeons' strength stats are maxed out too. Passado packs one mean punch, I tell you... 18 x 99,999... mmm....

I have to get good so that I can beat the Monster Arena creations to get Strength, and HP sphere's first. I know Razzia does 99,999. I haven't seen Camisade yet. I think Anima has about 14,000HP. I'm training around Zanarkand Ruins with double ap on Tidus and Yuna, Auron's just struggling with Masamune and Overdrive->AP. If I was to make a weapon like:
Overdrive->AP
Triple AP
Triple Overdrive

Would the Triple Overdrive effect the amount of AP I getfrom Overdrive->AP?

Yes, this weapon would triple normal AP and triple-triple (9x) the amount of AP you get through overdrive. Weapons with these abilities have special names (like Ragnarok for Tidus), and are the ultimate AP gaining equipment.

Yeah, but you actually have less spheres in the new grid.
Which can turn out bad if you really want to max every single stat

The Magus Sisters are cool though it's pretty annoying when they decide to take a break. They did that once and I got slaughtered.

I don't see the big deal of Delta Attack anyway. Four attacks when Passado does 18? Hmm, I'm sensing no competition in it. I never thought about maxing Yuna's Strength myself. I've been seeing the Strength of Aeons go up without giving Yuna any special treatment with Strength. HP is the main thing on my mind. Bring it on Juggernaut!

Hmm, maybe. Though technically you're better off saving HP for later, since you level up faster with low HP (with Overdrive->AP). Oh, and Juggernaut? He drops Strength spheres. HP spheres you get from Ironclad.

Thanks for the info. I'm now hunting and bribing Malboro for Wings To Discovery which 50 of them give Triple AP in a weapon

No, no, no... Fight One-eye at the arena instead. He regularly drops weapons with Triple AP (+ 1-2 free slots), just fight him until you have all the equipment you need. Also, sell the equipment you don't need for easy money.
