I've been thinking of re-adding this as an option in The Reunion R07-8.  I was going to do it all from scratch from PSX game.  If you're happy for me to use this when you're done, please let me know.  It would be great to add this back in.  Otherwise, I'll code my own but I'd rather not reinvent the wheel.  Looks good!
Hmmm for now the changes that i could do are some fixes in dialog boxes and animations,but for now i m not gonna update it , if there is no errors in the mod.
And the background animations and layers,i think im not able to do anything better than what i did, so this its done for me xD
If you want to use it in the Reunion, i dont have any problem, you have permisson  ;D.

New version.
This time i modified all maps (backgrounds fixed,dialogs,animations,etc) the best of all is that the 3 maps are identified as Onna_1 Onna_3 and Onna_6 ,so i only modified 1 map from the original flevel (i didnt tested this in a full gameplay, i hope work fine :/)

Recently, i discovered a way to insert all my new flevel maps without modify any other original flevel map , so maybe it could be posible now to play the original FF7 with this mod activated.

Solved!
vgmstream folder was into music folder. After remove "music" folder, the music load correctly.

The updated game driver uses a different version of FFMpeg. It should work with most formats but if you get errors on your log like you are, I would suggest reencoding them to another format.

I tried with many formats but finally ..

It works!

But still it dosnt load the music from my mod :/ Well, im gonna check if im see what is happening and also check if happen the same with other music mods.

No,for the test i generated a new.xml for 2.0 checking the help and other mods from the catalog, the problem is that  it dont load the new .ogg files and  mute the new movie files.

Maybe check your volume in the Settings>Game Launcher for your music and SFX. Also turn off ALL mods including anything that changes music or sound and run the game vanilla. If you get nothing at all, something on your system is seriously broken. Check your 7H log to see if there's anything showing in there to indicate a problem.
Thanks.Like i said before i only have my mod activated and installed.The sound options are at 100 in the game launcher.
My system its ok... and in the 1.55 it works fine, if all are muted ,maybe, but only affect to the altered content of the mod ¿maybe its because its an external mod and its not in the catalogs ?

Hi!
After a half year....i can release this mod :D

Its  a mod that change the original content of FF7 to create new fields,based on FF8(Dollet Mission), new history( also from FF8 but with some changes....),enemies,change music, backgrounds for the new fields, models, movies...
The idea its to play it in the disc/part 3,like a postgame challenge.Dont work with mods that change the gameplay, but the original game should be playable without problems.



To start with the new content, just go to Gold Saucer,in disc 3 ,and talk with the guy from Mog Minigame

I disabled all other mods, an reinstall my mod ,but the .ogg files dont load, only sound the original music(with option vgmstream) and my mod movie files are muted, in the last version all of this works.
Also , i unninstal the 7thheaven 2.0 to use again the previous version but i cant remove  the "games" folder ,some procces is using it.

Hmmm, the installation delete  ff7_BC and  ff7_MO .exe files  :/ this version still works with this files, right? . For NT(and make it compatible), Sega, modified this files (an also me to translate the text to spanish O_o).  what is the trick now with this files? xD

Modding the flevel is not exclusive to 7H. Modding it came way before 7H was created.

Just place the flevel.lgp in the direct\flevel folder and check your results ingame. Once you've created what you want, break it into chunks and make an IRO for it. Then give it one final test.

Similar to UpRisen's suggestion, can directly place an IRO structured folder into the mods\7th Heaven folder and launch 7H. It will appear in the menu to Activate, skipping the Import process from within 7H.


Yes i know , of course if i only modify the flevel  i dont need to check it with the 7thheaven,the problem is that i have a lot of files modified(for example: field backgrounds) and the only way that i known to apply this modifications, is with 7th heaven.
But every change that i do i need to check it O_o

Im gonna try to copy the folder in mods\7thheaven and see if it works :)

you can work from an unchunked flevel while making changes, and have the entire mod in a folder then in 7th heaven go library tab -> import -> from folder. select your mod folder, enter a name, and hit ok. you will have to reimport the folder every time you make a change, but this atleast saves a few steps.

Edit:I tried to use an unchunked flevel(in many ways:in the flevel.lgp folder ,out of it...) ,but didnt work :(  I will search more info in the forum ,thanks anyway :)
Edit:2:Well , what i finally do is ,import the folder ,and modify directly in the folder that generates in mods\7thheaven folder , for now i only change scripts in the flevel,so for now i only replace chunk 1 .
For me works and its more faster than before xD Thanks again.

Making mods for 7th heaven, i have had the incovenients that everytime i change something and i need to check the results i must: unninstal the mod, create the chunks of the flevel(7 chunks in my case  :( ),create the iro, install the mod and activate it. ¿its any other way to do this process faster?

Looks good. I tried to rig Titan's parts onto a Magnade for 1.4 or early 1.5 but it didn't quite work out. Same thing with Phoenix back when summon fights were planned but it was awkward getting all the parts to sit so I dropped it in the end.

Well, Magnade is more like ifrit xD, at least I saw that you could use the summons to create other enemies, and thats better O_o. The same thing happened to me on my first attempt, I tried to put bahamut in red dragon, but didn't work -_-

Why is it the first thing that came to mind when seeing that was Kisuke Urahara and that dude in the maggot's nest?
Just coincidence ....really! O_O

That sounds like an old version, 1.4 probably. The catalog IRO still hasn't been updated. Updating now to 1.5 would be a bad idea as some of the savemap variables were changed around between versions.

I'll sort it out during the weekend; I need to figure out how to fix this corrupted field.

Ok now i undesrtand  it xD there is no problem,the only thing its that Sega put a condition to  activate the piano event in other moment of the game(makes sense) i suppose that if you try again in the Disc 3 you could activate the event =)

Okay thanks. How do I change leaders? I've read that I have to go into the Northern Cave to do that (haven't tried it yet), but I've also ready that you go to the Operations room in the Highwind, which I've tried, but the guy there just acts as a save point (PHS/Save/Restore HP/MP).
In that room ,to the right ,must be another guy .If not,try to go to the bottom of the Northern Cave and check again

Tried it again, tried with keyboard and joystick, tried changing the key configuration, nothing seems to matter. Besides switch, Pgup+menu also seems to trigger the blinking, pgup+switch, doesn't, though...

I've been having  a lot of fun with the mod, though I'm a little stuck on something.

The only hint we get for the piano in shinra mansion is "melody". Are we supposed to play tifa's theme? I tried that but whenever I press [switch] (insert or X in the xbone controller) the text box temporarily closes and reopens and a cancel sound plays instead of the aproppiate sound.
I haven't been able to play it in her piano either. [switch] works fine and the melody is the same one as I remember but there is no recognition of playing it right (the one gil you got at this point in the vanilla game). Is there some hint I'm missing. Was the melody changed? Or am I doing something wrong? (it's my first time playing ff7 pc)
BTW the Tifa melody i found online was: [C] [Insert] [V] ([Page Up]+[V]) ([Page Up]+[Insert]) [C] [Insert] [V] ([Page Up]+[C]) [X] [C] [Insert] [C]

The melody is the same dont worry for that sound or the text box blinking.Maybe you have other  keyboard config.
