Need help modding battle weapon models
« on: 2011-01-17 02:55:32 »
I have 3d modelling experience and want to either modify existing weapons or create my own. How would one go about doing this?

I'd say open the existing files and model over them.
You should also look to be close to the concept art of each model.

If you want to start off easy, i'd say go to Cid weapons for example, if you want to go to detailed ones, go to Vincent weapons.

How would I go about opening the files in blender? What can I use to open the .lgp files?

Use unlgp to extract files from a lgp. Use bitturn to convert ff7 models to obj format to open in blender.

i tried battle.lgp (i dont know if this is the right one or not) and when i opened it with unlgp it opened a console that said there are 11119 files in this archive. i cant find any extract button anywhere. and where can i find bitturn. i googled it and browsed this site but found nothing.
