Team Avalanche / Re: Project Edge (Jusete's field scenes)
« on: 2021-01-24 14:31:02 »
I'm currently experiencing a bit of an issue in the beginning of the game where going to the next field scene (md1_1) where you meet Barret and Jessie, everything is completely slowed down and sometimes crashes.  I did update to the latest FFNx driver and restarted with only this mod enabled, still get the same thing.  Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Edit:  Nevermind, I figured out what I did wrong.

is this related with "enable_animated_textures" setting on FFNx.toml? On latest FFNx canaries i have this issue if I try to enable it..

Great addiction and imho really needed, default shadows on pc looks bad, these new ones looks awsome, thx ;)

would be possible to rework yellow cursor on chars head during battle too? Make it smaller maybe.

happy new year! To convert tex to png I use Vincent Tim http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=15404.0 : it's a command line tool but works very well.
As the button layout is the same of reunion psx layout.. you can also download the hd addon to see the positions (the buttons are in the same position in the tex files). The buttons are in the files usfont_a_h and usfont_a_l. Probably you will need to change the button position because Italian ReTranslation for 7th Heaven is very similar to caledor port and Caledor doesn't use button in his release (2 are also removed for other character) or reencode flevel with touphscript with new button layout

Thanks mate. Solved ;)

Hi and happy New Year! Thanks for the great works here. Just a question, which tool could I use to convert the .tex images of the "xbox one" addon to png? I'm trying to port "xbox one" addon to the "Final Fantasy VII Italian ReTranslation for 7th Heaven [1.02]" and if could check the exactly buttons layout on your font file would be really helpfull. Thanks in advance ;)

now that FeliX has commented with his approval, this will be coming (should i merge world map and world map animations, or keep them separate?)

These textures looks really nice! Would be possible a standalone release for who doesn't use Reunion? As you did for the animations. Thanks in advance :)

Sharing a small update. I didn't like how the reactor battlefields look so I made a replacement. This changes the battlefields for the 1st and 5th reactors. If anyone wants to use these for mods/packs, feel free. :)

A preview of how it looks:

7th Heaven / Re: [FF7 PC] Mod Manager - 7th Heaven 2.0
« on: 2020-04-25 10:03:49 »
If 7H is pointing to ff7.exe it should always be the English 1.02 patch. When you screw around with it, 7H knows it's not the correct EXE and fixes it. If you want to use a custom exe, name it as such (e.g. ff7_mycustom.exe) then point 7H to it under Settings>General Settings. 7H won't attempt to fix your custom named exe. ESUI doesn't require your exe be named ff7.exe either. You can name it whatever you want and ESUI will work fine.

This should be obvious, but I'll explain anyway. Your example, ff7_bc.exe is traditionally the old EXE used in the Beacause Menu Overhaul. ESUI isn't compatible with that exe because the content of that exe obviously conflicts with ESUI because they both significantly modify much of the same things in the UI, etc. It has nothing to do with it being named ff7_bc.exe. You could name your exe the same and ESUI would work fine with it, provided it doesn't change the same things that ESUI changes. You're talking about a conflict of mods, not 7th Heaven.

I'll also mention, everyone has moved away from custom EXEs. You can accomplish your same goal with hext, which is how ESUI does the same things as the old Menu Overhaul but without making permanent changes to or requiring a custom exe file.

Using hex to translate strings is a bit of a pain, btw using touphscript e renaming exe does the trick, as you explain. thanks for help ;)

Guys one question. I tryed to edit some text strings on ffvii.exe with touphscript. The tool does dump and ancode correctly but when i lunch the game with 7th all my edits come back to default. But if i rename the exe, to ffvii_bc.exe for example, all edits remain also in game. I use default ffvii.exe because I use ESUI for the menĂ¹, i don't use The Reunion mod. Is this an "issue" with 7th?

FF7 Tools / Re: [PC] Text editor - touphScript (v1.4.0)
« on: 2020-04-21 20:35:47 »
Latest 1.4 version is missing some text files. These are form Reunion R06 installer and should work with this 1.4

Create a file with notepad++ in utf-8-bom, named Chars.txt and paste the code here https://pastebin.com/D4SkFSN1 (this is vanilla chars table)
Create a file with notepad++ in utf-8, named touphScript.ini and paste the code here https://pastebin.com/XQ7UAHbd

Put both file where is touphScript.exe

In touphScript.ini the part under:
# Override common spacing values
#override window.bin  - spacing table
are disabled (the values are from reunion and not vanilla game, don't know what appen in vanilla game... to enable delete #)

Before, thanks for helping, really appreciate :)

With your tips now dump and encode work good. thanks again ;)

FF7 Tools / Re: [PC] Text editor - touphScript (v1.4.0)

Some feedback from myself.

Note I am running this on Windows 8.1 64bit.

The dump feature seems to not do anything, I get an entry in the log reporting the registry location, and nothing else.  In the command window I do see a bunch of numbers indicating it is reading the flevel file, but nothing gets written, so I am unable to get text files from flevel.lgp.  This happens regardless if I set the paths or if I let it use defaults.

Download link to latest version is broken 1.3.1.

Same issue here. Dump command doesn't do anything and on log i only have this Registry values found:SOFTWARE\Square Soft, Inc.\Final Fantasy VII

I'm on Win 10 x64.

Anyone would suggest any other tool to change text on exe?

« on: 2020-04-11 18:53:38 »
Thanks! I was searching for a good preset from a while, and this one looks great! I'll use it for my game. Just a tip for who use this, on Settings/Game Driver/Rendering disable Post Processing option for not use 7h prebuild shaders that could conflict with your preset. Sorry for my bad english and thanks again ;)

is there a way to get the game to play at a higher resolution but fit the screen its on for example play at 4k on a 1440 monitor but have the entire game fit on screen as of right now either window mode extends off screen to other monitors or Full screen will load on one screen but the image is zoomed in and you only see a portion high DPI fix doesnt help

https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/40bs34/4k_dsr_on_a_1440p_monitor/ btw on 1440p screen there's no difference at all with 4k resolution, tryed myself

if your looking for something to go from i made a decent preset for Reshade makes things more crisp and vibrant yo can use it to play around with if you like

Can you post some screens about this? :)
