My post count just went down and I'm not happy! >=(
jk - I'm not really concerned about my post count, but I'm curious as to what was deleted. I'm guessing that an entire thread has disappeared - I've noticed I'm not the only one affected.
-
Yeah. I noticed that my post count went a bit down also.
I wonder what could have happened while I was working... :|
-
Oh, i deleted my rpg thread....
i went from over 500 to this...
that is saying something. xD.
-
Oooooooooooohhhh I see.
Thx for telling. Now I know :-) It won't bother me anymore now.
-
I lost 207 posts. *weeps*
not that i care. xD.
-
That is almost exactly 10 times the number of posts I lost.
Anyway. This was a good excuse to start my first thread. That's one thing I can cross off the list of things I wanted to do before I die :-P
-
:-D
your life is now completed. ^.^
-
Lol. :-D
May I ask why you deleted your thread? :|
-
Because it was getting messy, and i made a new one. O.o.
cause i had like two or three games started in that thread. I just want one organized, one.
-
PROTIP:
In that situation, it's best to ask a mod to lock the thread or to just ask everyone not to post in it and tell them about the new thread.
When you delete a long thread, people will get upset (as has happened here) because their post count will go down and some valuable information might be lost (this is probably why you can't delete threads in the technical forums). Deleting a thread without a very good reason might be seen as rude or childish, especially as it's something often done by trolls or attention whores. I'm sure that you're not either of those, but they're generally the kind of people who delete big threads.
-
Don't take me seriously, I'm not upset about anything, really.
-
Yeah, same here! I just don't like it when something unexpected occurs and I know nothing of it, lol.
-
Sorry, the entire thread strayed from what I was wanting, and it had a lot of information that I didn't want to confuse potential players/ team members, in making and playing the game. ^.^. So I deleted what was becoming a mess. I thought I was being helpful, in not bothering a mod about it. :|
But, you are right, I should have just locked it... As I can do that in the unrelated section. I wasn't thinking. Sorry. ^.^
-
Uninformed question: As the OP, how do I lock the thread?? I only see the "Remove Topic" button here...
Just for future reference.
-
It appears they took that feature out. you used to be able to lock threads in the unrelated and general sections. If i remember correctly.
-
I don't recall it at all. I thought that locking threads requires a mod or admin :|
Not that this thread desperately needs locking or anything, but as its purpose has now been fulfilled, it should probably be left alone...
