Hey look at that ! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulu
And look at the primal sea-living thing from which that comes from...

127
Crap, I was already hearing the bingo bell, but no x)

Possibly a pun and/or a rearrangement.
I've got this, but I don't know where it could lead us : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pudendal_nerve

And you say it really has nothing to do with "Poodle" ?

EDIT: or even this : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pud%C3%BA

128
I think that the fitting translation is "Puddler".
The enemy looks like a "low-class" and primal aquatic creature which species could have been born in puddles.

Pudur --> Puddl ..+.. are --> er ..=.. Pudurare --> Puddler
doesn't it work ?

Something I liked in the French version was the megamateria. The "rythm" of the word sounds really great, and the name implies like it's another kind of materia, a level above.
When I read "huge materia" for the first time, I even didn't understand what the words were referring to. And when I knew, I was rather disappointed. Like if the characters called it that because they didn't find a better name at the moment. It's not even a name, just an adjective.

And just saying, but the observatory is really one of my favorite locations in the game. The music there does a lot. And I still remember that time I realised and told myself 'Oh my god, but the megamaterias are FF VII's four Crystals of Elements !!'.. well not elemental in this case, but that's what those represent, and I was in total awwwww  ;D

Dialogue box positions, Goblins' Bar and Weapon slowly getting nearer, really good news :)

Yes yes YES

Superb

I love that screen.
Just the full stops seem out of place to me ( "was born." and "was devised." ) I think it's not meant to be a sentence, but more like a note.

And I'm wondering what actually should be yellow.
Things related to the characters being yellow and things related to the materia being white, makes sense ( the other way around would make sense too ) but I can't help thinking that a new materia being born is an event special enough to deserve yellow.
Or maybe the most special in both category should be yellow : character level up - white  /  character limit break - yellow,  and,  materia level up - white  /  materia created - yellow
Or all yellow, with the name of the newly created materia being yellow, and the "Level Up" of the materia box being yellow too.

Cheers!!

I was wondering, in battle in the magic menu, is the "009/999MP" there to stay instead of a "  9/999MP" ?

But that guy really seems to point Covarr as the culprit..

There doesn't really seem to be anything major to iron out this time in my opinion.  Don't forget this product has been in the hands of millions of "insiders" for about 12 months already so its a lot more polished then a totally virgin Windows would be; like previous editions.  Everything is butter smooth on my end.  Ran the new 3dMark API overhead bench on my system and am super pumped for some DX12 games after seeing the results.  I also ran several other benchmarks since installing 10 last night and they are all universally higher than before on 8.1.

Not a single crash, hang up or issue so far.  In fact I was even able to overclock my cpu about 5 steps higher than I was able to on 8.1 with absolutely no issue so far where as 8.1 would have crashed over and over at the settings I have been running all day now.  And I am in the heat of the summer where I am at right now so if anything it should be running even hotter then when I was testing the same configuration back during the Winter on 8.1.

If your running 8 or 8.1 I'd say don't wait; seems like 10 is more stable than either of those.  If your on 7 and your cool with that then I suppose you could wait but 10 is a lot more responsive and boots way faster and is all around just better than a severely outdated system like 7, but that's up to you.  I am usually a pretty huge Microsoft critic (prefer Linux but its just not practical for my workload) and I have been looking for something to hate or complain about all day but as much as I hate to say it they seem to have done a decent job this time around.  Probably because they actually tried listening to the users more this time.

Thanks for your feedback ! Now I'm even more interested, especially in the OCing /stability and performance parts.
I will upgrade when my PC build will be complete and watercooled then.

Yes I will want to upgrade from 8.1 but I'll wait, I want major bugs to be ironed out and maybe wait for a SP1. That is the consensus on what to do. W10 seems already to be an improvement over 7 and 8 /8.1  http://gizmodo.com/windows-10-meta-review-download-it-in-a-month-or-two-1720774235
And if you game  I think you just can't ignore DX12 for the future games.

It would seem W10 will be the final build of Windows and that MS will update it through the years, I read that somewhere.

But for the time being I'm just too busy playing with Ubuntu and Whonix (based on Debian)  :P I'm really liking Linux a lot !

Kpopstars.... That says it all.
They're well known for making bogus articles and they're just living off lying clickbait articles for more ad revenue. Don't believe a word from that website.
So all that is random BS they made up without legit source of proof like all their other articles.

That's what I was going to say, that site is exactly that. They were announcing fake official release dates (not rumours) for the latest GPUs that were to come, that's how I got to know about them. That site is a shame.
But that one article seems legit, on thelifestream.net  you have the full interview that has been translated from Japanese by someone from their forums.

http://thelifestream.net/news/final-fantasy-vii-news/33038/ffvii-remake-nomura-interview-translation-from-famitsu/

So kpopshit just took it and published a part of it without giving any source..

Well i dunno, i'm almost sure somewhere else in this forum i read that someone in square enix that's actually working on or was working on ff15 is here with us somewhere. Who's to say the information we give out about isn't being relayed to the remake creators? If we do it right we could have an influence on how its created?

That's L.Spiro, but I don't know if she/he is working on the remake. And even if it was the case, I really doubt she/he can take any decision on the kinds of matter we're discussing here (which parts of the story will be kept and which won't, elements of gameplay, the battle system, the mood of the game, the humour - etc ).
But that'd be really great if a decision taker from SquareEnix could come here just to read through this thread and see what we're saying, our ideas, our thoughts.. I think there are good points that are said and that are discussed here.

it's only been recently that I fully understood that Jenova had shapeshifted at all.

Tell me about it, I just realised yesterday xD reading through these last posts !
I was under the exact same assumption that it was a telepathic projection from the North Crater, even seeing people talking about shape-shifting, to me it just referred to the projection having Sephiroth's shape, and then yesterday I was all OMG x)
It's funny you said that, that's exactly my boat ^_^

That's an interesting way to look at it. I mean it certainly fits. I was always under the impression that Jenova just wanted to suck up the lifestream and leave the planet as an empty husk, but I don't see why your idea couldn't be true.

Both are compatible. The Planet tries to heal itself from a great injury with a huge amount of Lifestream, Jenova sucks all of it up and after will continue to parasite the Planet till Holy dies, Sephiroth at the center of the wound becomes the almighty soul of the soon-to-be-wasted planet, they are now like the nerve center of the planet and when they need more "food" they decide to move on to propagate Jenova and to parasite another planet.

And I see Sephiroth as an extension of Jenova, he was born as that. Jenova's cells grew up within him as he was growing up, and made what he is and who he is. For me he is like fused with Jenova. Like they both live through each other.
Sephiroth could even be the mind behind Sephiroth-shaped Jenova.

138
During the game they say that it was some kind of alien organism that came by accident in a meteor.

Am I the only one who think that that meteor used to be a planet infected by Jenova? I'm pretty sure it is strongly implied. That's what Jenova is trying to do with the Earth: infect it from its root. That makes sense for a virus of that kind to try to spread not only throughout a planet, but also throughout the galaxy. And then it would be the Earth which would serve as a vessel and would crash as a meteor onto another planet, hurt it, and propagate Jenova, and use it, and so on and on. Jenova is a cosmic virus.
That's always what I thought, and then I was happy when in AC I heard Sephiroth talking about the Earth as a future vessel for Jenova.. that kinda confirmed what I was thinking all that time.

I hope I'm not the only one x)

As much as I like to fill plot holes myself (yeah..) and try to rationalize things, I agree with luksy and DLPB. I have fun with more in-depth analyzing -for me it's part of loving a story, you think deeper about it, you put pieces together, and it stimulates your imagination- but in the real world there are just oversights from the writers.

But I like your post Dubular, I was about to try something like that, but you did very well.
But if the swords were actually parts of Jenova, that would complicate the Reunion x) I'm fine with the Masamune (as a sword) popping out like in AC, as I consider each appearance of it as an instance of THE Masamune (like THE "concept" of Masamune, the source... in a platonian way).

About the shape-shifting, I will just add that it is hinted that Jenova did the same when she arrived on Earth already, tricking the Cetra into believing that she was one of them, in order to infect them.

140
I guess so ^_^
It's well known that Sephy has tricky gloves

Who knows? With the remake, you're bound to get more people coming across this forum due to google who're not the typical crowd.

I'm registered here since November 8th 2014, even since earlier than that  but my previous account was deleted when the forum was under the attack of tons of fake accounts popping out everywhere. I was a collateral casualty x) But I've been coming here for more than 4 years.
But I don't mind your other post, take no offense but it was rather funny.
Good luck with your project.

142
Thanks for those clarifications.

I still wonder how people can see the tattoo with his glove covering it though..

143
"Shin-Ra is" singular form in that sentence is consistent with what you used elsewhere in the game for Shin-Ra? (asking that just to be sure it's not something that slipped through, here)

Something I wanted to point out: In japanese, does the game say that the n°1 tattoo is on Sephiroth's arm? If true, then how could NPCs report a black-coated man with a n°1 tattoo on the arm... he's wearing a coat, his arm is covered. That makes no sense, is there nothing that can be done about it ?

So this bundle packs tools and softwares to create your games, that's it ?
And with them, you can come up with a game and then participate in the event ?
Thanks for the share, I think I'm to get it.

Also note that next Tuesday there will be more software and assets added to the bundle, so you get what is there now, and what is to come.

Thanks for clarifying, I was never sure about that.

I think I already have RPGmaker ( gotta check all the humble bundles I got so far.. still didn't have the chance to try any of them..... ).. so maybe I'll give the coupon to someone interested in it if I have no use of it ( and if I can give it )... gonna check

I hope this is sarcasm - because if it isn't, I'll have you know that this is utter BS.
Firstly, 1/35 Soldier does not actually mean that there is 35 soldier figurines, but what it actually means is this -
1 : 35 Soldier I.E a soldier figurine that is 35 of 1 scale to a real soldier - meaning it's a mini-figurine, not that it's 1 out of 35 pieces
that you can collect. The game does not actually have 35 Soldier figurine items to begin with.

It's me who's hoping that you are the one being sarcastic here xD If that's so, then good job ^_^ If not, then... does my post sound like serious business, even for one second? xD
We are in a thread about kinky rumours, you seriously think I'd be stupid enough to come here to try to make people believe that Bro is like Yoda and that the sick man can wear a wig ? xp ...I'm 32, not 14 lol
And that would be the most well kept secret of video gaming x)

Here is what the OP said
(...)please humor this old FF7 player and chime in with a rumor/myth(...)
(...)
Just talking and having fun with old rumors.
So my Belgian side spoke :p

It's a good idea for a funny thread in the General section, and to kid a bit about the remake.

EDIT: Thanks Tirlititi x)

Now in vanilla FF VII  what you can actually do when you gather all 35 1/35 soldiers is to ask the blacksmith to forge them all into one big soldier statue. Now just before the Reunion, bring that statue to the sick man in the pipe and when he sees it  he remembers he is himself an ex-Soldier and decides to join the party to know more about his troubled past. Now head to the gym hall in District 6 with him in the party and challenge Bro himself for the Black Spiky Wig. If your character has a high agility stat  then you may have a chance, but beware... Bro is some kind of super Yoda.
Got the Black Spiky Wig? Congrats. Just select it in your rare items menu and use it on the newcomer. He will learn his 4th limit break right away ( Multislash ) and you will notice he now has long black spiky hair. He's now fully playable but can only equip the Buster Sword and the Shin-Ra Alpha body armour.
( by the way, his default name is " Z." )

147
Cool.
And no problem, I understand.
And that looks so much better, great work as always. I'm really looking forward to this.

148
Aren't you taking liberties with that mod ? I ask that because I'm thinking ...wouldn't it be better if the locations of the main boxes (materia list on the right and materia informations on the left) were inverted ? You select the materia in the list on the left of the screen and you get the info of the selected materia on the right of the screen. For me that would make more sense.

Lock, Ice Arrow, hook-shot your icy foe and get near, Fire of Din in his face, slice him with Biggoron sword  8)

Now imagine Cait Sith jumping around everywhere, hitting everything with his megaphone and shouting at everyone ( dubbed by the Nyan Cat ).. Dan's living wet dream

I'm going to judge it on its own rather than as a Final Fantasy game or a remake, and if it holds up in that respect, I'll have fun with it, and if it doesn't, I won't.

I too would be inclined to that, but seriously  I think that will be hard, very hard.
That game will be a game on its own, okay, a revisited FF VII, another kind... but still FF VII. I can't see myself not thinking about the original if I play the remake, it's just impossible, comparisons will rise by themselves in our heads.
Now if it is for the better, then the greater ! I'll just Berserk my pants and go hug squirrels. If they make something valuable out of a new vision of FF VII, improving on the original, I'll be all for it obviously. And what would be the point of a remake if it's not improvement ?
But now if you tell me that the point is to boost the PS4 sales, well yeah  my hopes aren't high at all.

Even if we consider and play the remake as an independent entity  I think that comparisons will be unavoidable, and that parts of our opinion will be influenced by them.
We have a high opinion of the original, the tougher for SE, as fans we should be asking them for a piece of work of very high quality. Here I'm not debating what or how your standards may be for an independent game to be enjoyed by you, we're all different persons, different gamers, and that's all good. I'm just saying that the trend seems to be 'Let's hope it's not
strawberries' rather than 'Hey it's fucking FF VII we're talking about, you rather give us the dope man!'. But it's more like, oh it's about FF VII? Okay, then anything will do... And that's a pitty. ( here I'm not saying that you Covarr said something like that )

( and shit, you cast
Berserk before I did, while I was typing x) )
