Battle Textures
« on: 2002-05-20 02:50:29 »
I don't know if this has been brought up before, but I think I found the battle textures for Final Sephiroth & Sephiroth Nibelheim.

**ac, & **ad in them contain textures used for the battle models. I haven't tried anything after **ad, but I know that **aa & **ab aren't textures. **ab doesn't do anything when I used tex2bmp on it, but **aa created an empty .bmp file. (0 bytes). **da didn't do anything either.

Just a bunch of FYI...

Odd.  LGPtools views them just fine for me.

btw

da isn't a texture.    Basically, ac-al (although I don't think anything goes anywhere near that high) are Textures.  SAAC is Seph's mouth, SAAD is his eye.  Most likely the same for the other Sephiroth model (MUAC, MUAD).

Actually, muac contains all the textures for Sephiroth-Final: His eyes, eyebrows & his mouth... very odd...

Tifa's Model example (Battle LGP Database):
Quote
If you want a more user-friendly version, here we go. This is the example
of Tifa's Battle model.
-----------------------
ruaa *unknown*
ruab *unknown*
ruac *eye texture*
ruad *mouth texture*
ruam chest
ruan head
ruap hair1
ruaq hair2
ruar hair3
ruas hair_band
ruat hair4
...

As you can see, every file between **ab and **am are textures.
So **ac, **ad, **ae, **af, **ag ... are Textures :)

 - edit -
That database is kinda down-to-date:

**aa - Model Animation
**ab - ?? (probably something with textures)
**da - Model Skeleton

Alhexx, I don't know if you've read all my ramblings recently, but might this have something to do with **ab files, if they are texture related?  In case it doesn't mention it, the Battle sprite heads have the same deal as far as I can tell.
