Excuse my english , I'm french and I'm new on this forum...

I have another question about the Sephy Patch, I have donloawd the first sephy patch and I have problem with this installation .  The "read me" say that :
 Instructions *

I used to do patches for SNES roms and I found that I could
use the same type of patch for anything and because the patches
are so conveniently small I´ve stuck with them.

You will require the Maximum Install of FFVII
Unzip the SEPHY.ZIP anywhere on your hard disk.
Move FF7.IPS to your FFVII directory.
Move TOOLS.EXE to your FFVII directory.
Move CHAR.IPS to (FFVII directory)\data\field
Copy TOOLS.EXE to (FFVII directory)\data\field
Go back to your main FFVII directory
Run TOOLS.EXE
Select Apply IPS
Select FF7.IPS
Select FF7.EXE
Press ESC and exit the program
Go to your (FFVII directory)\data\field directory
Run TOOLS.EXE
Select Apply IPS
Select CHAR.IPS
Select CHAR.LGP
Press ESC and exit the program
Go back to your main FFVII directory
Run FF7.EXE


My questions are :
1/I have a problem in my files I do not find "FF7.EXE" (they would not be the  plays in him same"? at home quite simply it is called "FF7"). I do not find either  Apply. IPS (their is just a texte name APP) does it have another name ?

2/When the "read me" text says :
"Select Apply IPS
Select FF7.IPS
Select FF7.EXE "
or
"Select Apply IPS
Select CHAR.IPS
Select CHAR.LGP"
where can I select the files? in does screen TOOLS or the file or they find? if is in screen TOOLS how to do , I do not reach that point?? I can't select anything in the screen ...

Please help me . sorry im to bad in english  I use a simple vocabulary

okay my problem is resolv , but the "old" sephy patch is not compatible with the graphic patch . I must choose between playing with sephiroth with lego graphism or playing in beautiful graphisme without sephiroth ...
I have see that with the new patch , sephiroth is no aviable with wonderfull graphism ...
do you have a link were i can donloawd the new sephy patch please ?

I hope that the patch will be able for other version that v1.02
because when I try to install v1.02  , the screen become black when I open the game ...

OK 1st the file size is down from 11mbs to 2.40 mbs

Cloud and Sephiroth are now the right size's

the text is now done not all of it need to find them so if you guys can help

The SaiNt's HiRes patch is still not compatible

redid the instructions

this is the last beta now i will add some of the stuff you guys/girls ask 4

You can use Cosmo to change the text can't you? Well that's easy to do just time consuming.

Is this legoland sephiroth or like one of Re-Union's battle models?

You can't use Cosmo. It expands it so much in some areas that it makes in unread able

my chocobo patch , my cheat code patch and my graphic patch are working with my original (1.00) version
the "old " sephiroth patch was working with my original version , so I dont understand ...

Just give him Cloud's limits if you can get them to work, everything else fucks up, you could try hyper jump though which could look like the throttling he gives Aeris.

OK so after playing for awile there are some notes
1. first if you use "limits to work" from the new version of Sephiroth Patch and use the limit my game sometimes crashed and some times not, when i used the older "limits to work" from the previos version everything seems fine, no crashes.
2. After using Textpatch.exe the music begins to act strangly: it ceeps playing oooon and ooon, for example after you win the battle the "fanfare" ceeps playing after the battle on the feild...WTF!?
3.I don t know if it is intended but in battle if Sephiroth is dead(HP red) he stands with his hand up and if he is wounded (HP green) he lies on the floor, shoudn't it be vise versa?BTW if you have cover materia on him he "covers" by laying on the floor...
4. Sometimes the text begins to lose lattres as in dialogs as well as in menu... some thing like I em Ma r a which means Item Materia...But if you reload the game everuthing is fine
5. And lasty some times the picture on the screen is gettin' screwed up, then the game crashes, but it happens rarely

I dont know if i am the only one who gets these problems but i can live with that (exept for the Text patch.exe glitch so i just have to use my imagination  :-) :-D )
BIG thanks to  ice_cold513 for this patch once again, it is just as interesting as playing for the first time  :-)

Yeah, I was getting worried no one got this error. Some of the text are kinda screwed up in the game, just as sword mentioned.
But overall it was a great patch !!
@Alucard: Can you upload the previous "limit to work" ?
(I don't wanna spend time downloading 11 mb just to get that ^^).

To solve some of these problems you have to restore the original flevel file, or try to not use the text patch.

Mhh... I think this is a bug of Cosmos's.
Ice_cold, did you use the Cosmos editor?

he probably did because the TextPatch uses "Cosmo text patcher"

1/"Extract all the files in char.lgp with Ficedula's lgptools to ...\Square Soft, Inc\Final Fantasy VII\data\field\char\"
How can i find "ficedula's lgptools" (donloawd ?) and how can I extract the files ? Where must I put this files when they are extracted ?


2/"3) Run NPC RP v0.6.exe"
where can i find all this please ?

3/ "Create a new char.lgp useing lgptools and delete the char folder."
can you explain me how i can do that ...

1. Yes download it from www.ficedula.co.uk
Make a new empty folder at
whateverdrive\Program Files\Square soft Inc,\Final Fantasy VII\data\field, name it char. Run LGP tool, open char.lgp. Click Extract all. Extract it to the char folder.
Now download NPC RC v6.0 from the "NPC Reconstruction project" topic. After finished downloading, run NPC v6. The default path should be like C:\Program Files\Square soft Inc,\Final Fantasy VII\data .Start patching.
*If you want to use sephiroth patch, apply it after patching the NPC RC v6.0
Then open the LGP tool again, click Create, ignore the warning message, click ok. Select the char folder and save it anywhere you want (except for the field folder).

Now replace the char.lgp at field folder with the new one.

2. At the "NPC Reconstruction project" topic
3. Look above

Just one think about installation (i have a doubt) when you say "Make a new empty folder at
whateverdrive\Program Files\Square soft Inc,\Final Fantasy VII\data\field, name it char." I have difficulties to unterstand the word "folder" . To "create a new folder" i have made  clik right/"new"/and "folder" in \Program Files\Square soft Inc,\Final Fantasy VII\data\field. Am I right ?

I have resolve the problem by taking the 1.02 english version , the problem was i had the french version ...
can somebody explain me in detail when mean that ?

"Part 2

1) Open your battle.lgp

2) Open your folder name Limit to work   

3) Click the file that in the folder and drop it in the open battle.lgp then say yes and close "

when i open battle.lgp with fidecula and try to put the file "saab" inside of battle.lpg it open a windows "access resused"
solution ?
