Completely Unrelated / Re: RIP Diablo
« on: 2018-11-05 18:48:28 »
Diablo 3 was the mortal wound, and Diablo immortal was the death knell of the Franchise. Just look at the games media to see the level of shilling for chinese re-skins and micro-transactions to realize how bad the game industry has become. We will never return the 90s and early 2000's when the West and East were producing amazing games nearly every month. It's a trend with these types, a community builds something beautiful and the people who can't replicate it, who are jealous of its success or beauty come in and shit it up so that everything is equally horrible, and mediocre. They bring everything down to the lowest common denominator and then proclaim victory when they've burned everything down.

This is what the ff7 remake should have been, text fixes/bug fixes, remastered character models and backgrounds, remastered music as an option, and maybe a few more minigames/minor additional content at the goldsaucer and on the worldmap, as well as a harder difficulty mode with more complex materia combinations possible in this higher difficulty mode. Basically everything modding here has come close to giving us. I'm hoping this "re-imagining" won't be complete strawberries but I bet it will be, even if Square-Enix somehow avoids screwing it up and faithfully recreates it (yeah right) the translators and voice actors in the the pozzed American Industry will mess it up or censor it. Thank you again Jusete, ever since I was little I was hoping for a remastered ff7, and you are helping to make that a reality.

Amazing work as always, hoping you guys are able to get most or even the whole game redone, it would be amazing.

You guys are awesome, these look fantastic. If you're somehow able to finish the whole game or most of it we won't even really need a ff7 hd remake lol, I prefer this style even more.

Good job Jusete.

The two producers/writers have no idea what they're doing. The only reason this show did well was because it followed the books so closely. Now that they have to do the writing themselves and only work based off of outlines/notes from Martin the show has taken a steep dive in quality and pacing of the writing. David Benioff and David Wise probably got their jobs through nepotism like most of hollywood, after looking into their backgrounds. Honestly, when they made Stannis kill his own daughter, I was pretty pissed because as someone who can relate to Stannis' personality type, I and all of my friends who were fans of Stannis know that he wouldn't just overnight decide to kill his daughter especially by burning her alive.

I've only watched 5 out of 7 episodes. This is a first for me. Usually I can't wait to see the next episode right away. Goes to show how the quality has dropped off.

Thanks Quve, Crestian, and McIndus :)

General Discussion / Re: Final Fantasy XV
« on: 2017-07-10 06:22:06 »
Pretty much what Kaldarasha said, it's not a bad game unlike FFXIII but it's barely a final fantasy game, and it's a mediocre game that took them a huge budget and a long long time to develop. Square Enix is no longer capable of producing the sort of great story, great game play, great sound/music and graphics that there games were known for. They have to spend a large amount of time and a huge budget just to produce a mediocre game.

Yes - SeeDReborn v3.2-v3.5 use the same hashmaps and should be used with the latest version of Tonberry :)

In the next few weeks, this mod will get the following work:

1.  Italian Release! (v3.5) - I may release a v3.2, but at a later date
2.  English v3.21 - Glitch/Alignment fixes (Clean-up)
3.  Foreign Language Packs v3.21 - Glitch/Alignment fixes (Probably a few months out, TBH)
4.  Foreign Language Packs v3.5 - (Probably will release at the same time as the v3.21 updates)

Also, by August/September there will be a HUGE update!

SeeDReborn v4.0 Modernized UI and Theme Packs
[English Only]

Includes:
     - "Themes"  --  In the works:  Main Theme, Rinoa Theme, FFVII Inspired Theme, FFIX Inspired Theme
     - Updated/condensed hashmaps
     - Updated/Condensed Files (Mod will be 1/3 the size of v3.5)
     - Faster loading times due to less memory draw/injection
     - Custom UI colors/icons to match futuristic FF8 'feel'.
     - Updated Header Text
     - New Borders
     - Various Overhauled Elements and Limit Break Sprites

Optional Downloads:
     - Title Screen Selections
     - Character/GF Avatar Selections (Theme Variations)
     - Text Window Color/Gradient selections
     - Colorblind Version (Main Theme Only)
     - Font Selections:  Modern (v3.5), Classic (v3.2), and the Various Theme Fonts (Inspired by Balamb, FF7, FF9) [Will also provide link to Yagami Lights PS1 HD font replacement thread]

As you can see, I'm skipping right to version 4 due to several updates to the UI as well as the option for using different "Themes".  This version of the mod is meant to give FF8 a more modern look and feel to align more properly with the story of the game as well as giving customizable theme options.  The 'classic' version of SeeDReborn (v3.2) was designed to be 'as close to the original game' in it's appearance and feel and will essentially become the Classic Theme.  With 3.5, I took a true modder's approach, and I'm continuing in that vein to provide a more customized and unique FF8 experience.

If anyone out there wants to help out with any of the icons, fonts or themes let me know!  The more people that contribute, the faster the community gets a release!  If no one contributes, this might take me until December ;)  If that's the case, I will be releasing each "Theme" in stages, so there will be -something- to download by Sept.

Also - if there's anyone out there who might be able to help me with an installer for this mod to make customization easier, please contact me!
Can't wait!

Thank you McIndus.

Thank you Eliza, sounds good, especially the save bugfix.

Oh in terms of anime movies the Series Kara No Kyoukai. It's complex, even after watching analysis videos I was still a little confused. Also there is a chronoligical order and an airing order. Watch the movies in the order they aired, the order they aired won't make as much sense but it's SUPPOSED to be that way, otherwise you take some of the thinking and mystery out of it. Japan's done this with a few series like Haruhi(but I don't recommend Haruhi because of the infamous arc of 8 basically repeated episodes, they could of made this two or 3 episodes and accomplished the same purpose...) Also in Kara No Kyoukai the animation and music is FANTASTIC.

Don't want to spoil the story too much, but basically the female protagonist, Shiki has Shinigami eyes. That is her third eye is open, and she can see the truth of all things, so she can see the death that surrounds us, ghosts, etc. Because of this power she became pretty distant and jaded from other human beings until she meets this kind guy, the story follows her adventures to try to make an impact on a world that only she can truly see the truth of, and her finally finding a meaningful connections in life.
