What gems are in your game collection?
« on: 2012-09-04 13:56:56 »
So I was looking up some of my old games on eBay and got to thinking that the people on these boards likely have some pretty rare gems.
To get an idea, here's couple I've found in my collection:
-Keio Flying Squadron (Sega CD)
-Dragon Slayer: Legend of Heroes (Turbo Grafx Super CD)

I have UmJammer Lammy somewhere, as well as a shitton of NES games, some of them are relatively unknown/awesome.  I have a grey cartridge of Ocarina of Time with the gold cartridge version of the software.  I also have several copies of Shenmue, and the original NBA Jam still in box.

Did you ebay them? I am a bit overwhelmed by my collections and need to start doing that.

    Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
    Diablo: Hellfire (2 copies)

    Leather Goddesses of Phobos 2
The Neverhood and Leather Goddess 2 - Very nice!
I never got my hands on The Neverhood, had to settle for Skullmonkeys.

That's awesome. I actually have all of these (multiple copies in some cases) but I'm pleasantly surprised at how much Silhouette Mirage seems to be worth. I really wouldn't call the rest of these 'rare' although they are certainly gems.

I still have my original copy of Zelda for the NES the Gold cartridge. Also still have my copy of Tobal, the one with the FF7 Demo.

Man playing that demo feels weird.

I have 3 of those, and 2 gold cartridge copies of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

Yeah it sure does. It's interesting having Aeris in the first area and summoning Leviathon. Also, the lighting and atmosphere seems different, somehow.

All the demos are interesting for one reason or another. My favorite is the FF8 demo, where you get to hear a song that pretty closely resembles the theme to  "The Rock" (Sean Connery movie).

Tobal No. 1 was a pretty good fighting/dungeon hybrid. Tobal 2 was much, much better, but it was never released outside of Japan for some reason. It's a nice import to have because you don't need to know much Japanese to play it.

My Resident Evil collection.
I have most of them, although they have taken a bad bad path.

New era of Capcom and Square assassinated my childhood games.

I bought one of my FFVII PSX versions and discovered that the front paper insert was greatest hits and the back paper insert was original.

If you haven't finished those would be a must play for me. Myst trilogy (zero, Riven, Exile), The longest journey (1, Dreamfall), The devil inside, The Nomad Soul (guest star David Bowie). Wing commander Prophecy (download the high res pack+patch for the movies), Heart of darkness.
