Just finished my first Final Fantasy game!

I'd played little bits of FF I-III, but I'd never actually sat down and played one of the games through. I just finished IV on the DS and, while my DS very nearly wound up in a wall while I was playing through the final dungeon, I was thoroughly impressed with the experience. Now I'm tracking down versions of the rest of the series...

What was your first game in the series? What hooked you?
