Ever since build 3.5.5 i've been getting random crashes. 3.5.6 had the worst... Anyone else having this issue?
Currently thinking of switching to opera (as i will never use IE or Chrome)

You know the ones, Like copy items, increase chocobo speed, recover stamina, reviving dead party members in the forest.
Anyone else use those in their play throughs of FF7? Or am i the only one who's "cheated"

Okay. So, i got a new motherboard, and it had hybrid SLI on it, with a 8300 GS onboard.
I also have a 9800GT so i thought "Hey i'll give hybrid power a shot" Works amazingly surprisingly a big boost in my modern games (mass Effect, Fallout 3, CoD4) boot up FF7.. Swear to you i'm getting no more then 20FPS... now i thought, okay it's cause i have 16X AA and it's not using my 9800gt to run it's using my 8300GS. turned of AA.. and it's STILL slow...
No correct me if i'm wrong, But an 8300 GS should beable to run FF7 EASY. so why is it laggy....?
if no one can explain it. PLEASE someone tell me how to turn off the 8300 and just use my 9800 for just FF7 as the performance boost in everything else is nice.

Scripting and Reverse Engineering / Looking for sound effects

Just felt like doing some exploring decided to find the game sounds. Checked every file in the midi folder. and they seem to be all the same.. (any idea why?) looking in sound but i can only find a .dat and a .fmt file. both called audio
Any idea how to extract and view them? or are those not the sound effects?

But i want to replace the default main menu with one of higher resolution

Troubleshooting / converting .tex to .bmp help

I'm trying to convert some of the .tex files in the menu_us.lgp But when i convert them using bitrun. I can't do anything but paint on them in photoshop.. Can't add layers, Hell, I can't even use blur! But any other image (not converted using biturn) works fine.
Now i'm new to photoshop. Could be an issue on my end. But i'm having no luck.. If it matters instead of saying "layer" or "Background" it says "index"
Also, if someone happens to forward me to omega (not saying anyone will) the download like in the wiki is dead.
If omega is better then biturn (or there is something i don't know about better still) then please post the link on where to find it.

I'm remaking and then re-releasing the New Spell patch.
At request i will list the changes in spell names.
Fire: Fire, Fira, Firaga
Ice: Blizzard, Blizzara, Blizzaga
Bolt: Thunder, Thundara, Thundaga
Demi, Gravity, Gravita, Gravaga
Bio: Poison, Pestilence, Plague
Flare: Inferno
Shield: Magical Shield
Barrier: Protect
MBarrier: Shell
Wall: Shield
Cure: Cure, Cura, Curaga
FullCure: Full Cure
Life2: Araise
Remove: Eject

I was wondering what file the backgrounds are located it, I'm thinking about redrawing (well trying to..) the first one to a higher res. Just to improve the scene when you first get off the train (if at all possible)
Also, what program would i need to redraw it? a 3D program like 3ds MAX? or something like Paint?
