It was called q_1 and so forth in the PSX version. The PC port renamed some of the fields. As for the the name tab in the misc window... I think that's irrelevant for the game itself.

I agree, it looks like he shat himself days before. It's like he's emptied the slot machine right in there.

I actually cooked up a sort of better walking animation for him way back when. It's not much to be honest, I simply took the common walk animation and edited it only slightly. It doesn't have the "fat bastard who thinks he's boss" appearance, but if you want to see how it looks you can grab the file here.

Edit: Actually, I think the original version of that animation was made by BloodShot. Just a fun fact.

Possibly yes, but I don't think the title of a game is that important compared to content. :P (of which Crisis Core had a serious shortage tbh)

I mean, we have a game that has a sappy title like Kingdom Hearts, but the game itself turned out alright. That is, until KH2 came and took a big dump on all the neat adventure elements. >.<

Workaround:
Compile the files with Bitrun to 3ds models. Load the 3ds files in pCreator, use 'Add Group' after you have opened the first to have them merged in one peace. Select a group and add a texture to them. Do this for other groups as well. Don't forget to swap the y coordinates off the UV map (you can find the tool for it under 'view'). Save this as new p-file you want.

So, I think I might have discovered a hideous bug here... Although it's a big maybe. Regarding the "Compile Multi-P bones into a single file" feature. Long story short, I need this because I'm working on a battle model and it doesn't accept multiple parts on the same bone.

So, I've got a two-part model and the two parts need to use different textures. Problem is, when Kimera compiles them into a single file (it leaves the parts as different groups so it can use multiple texture slots, which is exactly what I need), the UV map of the second part seems to get all messed up. I can't even use Biturn to convert the new file into 3DS and check if there's a pattern to the UV mess-up, because Biturn doesn't recognize the file anymore.

Has this happened to anyone else? Are there any nice workarounds? I currently have a mesh that looked like a head a minute ago, but now looks like a pile of vomit no matter which way around I try and flip the texture.  >:(

I have changed to this since I can't see it being very consistent that Leno would be aiming to kill the last Ancient.  I think the scene is portraying Cloud being attacked.

Strangely enough, I always got the impression that he goofed up and forgot that he wasn't meant to harm her. :P I don't know how that would work with the whole "professional Turk" thing though.

Yes, I am using the retranslation. All of the options work fine for me, even though it might be confusing when selecting No or Choose another one - the game just sits there waiting for player input, while in the meantime, I was half expecting it do pop up a help text like "Select the amount of greens" and "choose a chocobo". This is just an unrelated inconvenience though, and has nothing to do with the retranslation, to be fair.

Can someone please go to Chocobo Farm and feed a chocobo?  Tell me if the options are working there, because it looks like it's totally bugged out for me.  This is in regards to the following text:

Which will appear after you have selected the green.

It works perfectly fine for me.

The black bar is there in the Japanese and US version too.

The screen seems to be slightly more vertically centered though, at least on ePSXe.

Edit: And don't use the Synch function. It causes havoc with formations and is very difficult to fix; just copy enemies and paste them over the duplicates instead, double-checking all the attacks after you do it (often, the attack data will get scrambled so it needs to be corrected when copy-pasting enemies).

Yep, it is fixed. I can't replicate this problem in the newest build, at least.

This happens when you select one model, then another. It doesn't seem to remove the previous model from the screen.

Pfft, it's been a thing for ages that Sephiroth keeps spawning his blade out of thin air. I mean, he did that (animatedly, mind you) immediately upon entrance in Advent Children, and again in Crisis Core his sword just appeared in his hand after he ripped the Jenova "statue" apart. :P

That ghost isn't a glitch ;)  I checked it out, it's definitely deliberate.  It is scheduled to appear after her death as a deliberate reminder to the player.  I was going to remove it when I realized it was there on purpose. It even has a var set up to make sure you only see it once.

I thought the glitch there was that the ghost appears as early as when Aerith is captured by the Turks? Unless, of course, that is also intentional.. even though it wouldn't make sense to see it that early in the game.

I'm still not sure I have the movies in the right folder though, I'm using the 1998 version so it doesnt automatically create a folder for them, so I did myself at FFVII\data\movies.

The path would be Final Fantasy VII\movies. Make sure the registry is also updated to point at the hard drive.

Amazing editor NFITC1, it's been a really huge help for me so far! I've got one question though regarding item effects:

How can I change the effects of items that can be used outside of battle?

When I change the amount of healing done by an X-Potion or a Turbo-Ether to a fixed number similar to regular potions and ethers, the effect is only changed in battle, but not outside of battle. When I use an X-Potion in the menu, it still recovers all HP, so I was wondering if the out-of-battle effects of items are located somewhere else in the kernel. Does anyone know how to change an item's out-of-battle effect?
It's not located in the kernel. Most likely it's inside FF7.exe, as other menu data tends to be there as well.

Yes? In that mod, Sephiroth has been placed in another character's slot. A character that also has a PHS slot. What I'm saying is the original Sephiroth character slot doesn't have a PHS slot at all, that's why he always vanishes. The only way is to replace another character with Sephiroth.

Sephiroth will always vanish from the PHS menu because he doesn't have a slot there to begin with. That really can't be helped.
