I used the Installer and everything has worked fine. But can someone help with the gamma/brightness on the FMVs. They are very dark for and was wondering did I make some mistake somewhere? When i play them using Windows Media Player they look great but in game, they are very dark.

I'm also using aali latest opengl driver (7.10)

Troubleshooting / Re: Custom graphics driver for FF7/FF8
« on: 2010-05-08 13:24:29 »
Aali, anyway for you to smooth out the background textures in FF8? I used magixs FF8 launcher 1.31 and was pleasantly surprised to see a background-texture uv-map adjustment option. Because your driver is much more compatible with AA I would love to see that option in your driver.

Plus, does anyone know why the left part of Seifers head is missing a polygon or texture. His head flashs white which is very strange.

Why does the character eyes really stand out when using this opengl driver?

All the model's eyes look really dark and emphasized.

Thanks Aali for the update. Im very eager to try out the new driver.

32
Are these custom drivers still being updated?

There is still a few odd texture problems i have incurred. During the bike minigame for example, the road markings are all skwiggly lines instead of straight textures. Not sure what causes that to happen by using the drivers.

Thanks i took your advice. I was noticing some tecture glitchs with the high res patch installed. As soon as i uninstalled it, the glitchs were removed.

Its funny, now even the road markings are coming up on the road. Previously it was just blank. This fix has improved a lot.  :-D

You legend!

Its working perfect now. I never knew there was a way to change the internal plugin to openGL till now. I have the high res patch on, FSAA enabled and the openGL plugin is working a charm with all the graphics included.

Thanks once again!

P.S. Im sure even my FMVs are looking less pixaleted now  :-D

Without the saint high res patch the graphics are missing for direct 3d but then if i run it in software mode, the graphics are there.

This may sound like an irrelvant problem but im stilll trying to figure out what causes it.

FF7 works fine for me. I run the 1.02 patch, have the high res patch, the psx music patch and the frame limiter for the mini games. Its all running great. But when im playing the Bike mini game i just realised that the crash/skid effects that the shinra bikes emit when they are hit by clouds sword are missing? I played the PSX version recently and noticed the difference.

I also watched several youtube videos of the bike mini game on the PC, and the effects weren't missing! These people were running the game with hardware acceleration, Nvidia TNT patch and had FSAA enabled just like me. Whats the difference!?  :-o

General Discussion / Cetra Patch
« on: 2005-09-30 19:21:57 »
Can anyone tell me how to get the cetra patch working(mainly for the music patch).I click on to apply the debug, music, or 32-bit colour version but nothing happenes in the game.Im wondering has anyone ever got the music patch or cetra working?

Ok....now i have the cetra patch working(window and 32 bit colour) but i still cant run the music patch.Anytime i pick me input and output device i get "Access violation at adress 00444567 in module 'ff7music.ex'.Read of address 00000028".

Now i have no idea what that violation meant.Does anyone here work the music patch?

Because djzerious said it works for him on 4x. But im trying to say that either way i set it up.Using direct 3d or just using software it jumps exactly the same way.I would notice it if it had to do with my anitialising.

NO it does'nt jump due to lack of power.Because i have more than enough to run this game(512mb ram and 2.4Gz).It seems to jump slighly for some reason i am unaware of! Has this ever happened to anyone else.I now mean slight jumping but it does it so often you know its happening. Its annoying cause animations will jerk and the text wont come up at one speed.

My final fantasy vii seems to be having some problems with frame rate.It experiences a minor jump in gameplay every 2 secs while i play the game in both software mode and hardware mode(using geforce FX5200) using 2x2AA(using rivatuner and enabling 8-bit textures).I recently installed it see, around 6 months earlier this did not happen at all.If someone has any idea just tell me please and ill give it a go.Im no noob to this whole final fantasy vii on PC fiasco,so i have tried all the obvious solutions. Thanks again.....
