We already have a cast that is actively recording it now. I wouldn't wanna drop them all after finding out this one was alive. It wouldn't be fair to them.

Oh you're still going? That's great to hear! We actually started our own recently too so that'll be interesting

The 60fps doesn't work. Don't use it. Why it is still downloadable I'm unsure honestly. Or where people are still getting it. Over the last year I think the mods have had to tell a couple hundred people to not use it because it's messed up. Still to this day nobody has achieved correct, full 60fps in a working manner. That one from the Catalog sorta faked it in a way that causes crashes.

Not even slightly, we haven't long started. We just finished casting the Main Characters and most of the minors.
We're finishing up 7 now and the members of 7 that are done are moving to 8 ready to get it started.

Here's our Main cast:

It's actually not the only one any more. Project Echo-S is now making a mod for 8 too

Gotcha, makes a lot of sense actually, It works. It probably wont but I know how Google can be lol

What made you call it "Project S" btw? I just hope that it doesn't get confusing with "Project Echo-S" too.
Make one or the other hard to find on Google

The code 5 fix in the general settings may help

I actually get that from time to time too with the IRO's. Never thought to question it.
The no models until video finishes thing

Double posting because I kinda need too. It's a very different topic to the previous post.

The time and date has been set for the Echo-S podcast! I need you guys to help me blow up this tweet
because if we can and we hit amazing numbers for the podcast itself then we could get to meet the real remake actors!
It's gonna be so cool to see our actors and their actor in the same call playing voice games and stuff.
Let alone the fact that we'll be talking about mods and bringing them into our world.

Thank you!

Appreciated! I'll be posting lots of in game videos soon so everyone can see it in action.
The new direction we took since last time I updated this thread is so much better than ever before.
I'm excited to show everyone the progress.

I forget this thread exists sometimes... We are still alive!
And we're actually flying through. Sorry you haven't heard from me in a while. I'll be sure to fix that.

Lemme catch you all real quick. We're about 78% done with recording. This is since about September.
We had to start again because.. stuff. We got a new cast, a real director, and now it's like 100x better than it used to be.
Wanna hear our new cast? Here ya go:
Pretty sure you'll agree we aren't doing too bad for a fan group.

But today I come to you with a favour.

Myself, Crane (The Director) and some of the Main Cast were invited on to the FinalFanTV Podcast, which will take place on the 3rd April, not sure what time just yet. I'll let you know closer to the date.

Now, why is this one different to the others I've been on?
These guys have contact with many of the Remake actors themselves, and in fact have had them on their podcast. To name a few they've had:

John Eric Bentley (Barret)
Mallory Low (Madam M)
Danielle McRae (Gwen)
Vic Chao (Tseng)

Among other community managers of Square Enix, Alex Moukala, the list goes on. So after some talks with them, we've decided that we're gonna try and arrange a "Echo-S cast meets the Remake cast" session.

So our job is to blow their numbers out of the water to a point where they just can't say no! This could be huge for us. If we get to meet them and talk about Echo-S, who knows where it could go.

When the time comes, they livestream the podcast on Twitch.
So you'll be able to be involved through chat and ask questions.
I'll need your help on that day too. We gotta give them numbers they've never seen before. Together we can push this and it could do amazing things.

Comment the crap out of that tweet, retweet it, whatever you can do to help. Then when the stream starts, blow it up. I wanna see so many chatters that day they just panic.

Here's the Tweet:

Lucky for you this isn't needed what so ever because Project Echo-S is being made. Entire game being voice acted by real people:

We are still alive, believe it or not lol. Been a while but things happened and now we're flying.
We got a functioning team and a real director to help us.

If anyone would like to voice an NPC for us please do let me know and we'll get you sorted ASAP.
We are currently working on this live on UpRisen - Project Managers stream so if you'd like to get in early please do head over and let us know:

It got left to me by Grimmy. But it was in sort of bad shape at the time and contained ripped models.
I didn't have the time to actually fix it up so it's been gathering dust. Grimmy did reappear last week though so I'm hopeful that he'll keep going with it.

Did I read this right?

"If someone don't want to be insulted then it must avoid to be infuriating like that idiot was"

It's okay to insult "idiots"? You realise that's an opinion you are having right?
It's not something you sign up for, there isn't a tick box that says:

  • Are you an Idiot? (If yes, people are allowed to insult you)

You seem to have missed what the recent issue was. I'll put it in Lamens terms for ya.
1. Mods didn't punish people who were breaking rules.
2.... There is no number 2... That's It.

And now, they are punishing you for breaking the rules.
Might wanna rename this thread.
If anyone starts to think your an idiot that means they're allowed to insult you.
True story, I heard it on the internet once.

That's the way we did ours, it's worked well so far anyway. Worth a shot.

Guys... it looks like it's time to bring out proof. I know It's all things that happened behind closed doors and it's impolite to share information like that. Especially without permission. But it's getting to the point where it needs to be seen.

If you can get in touch with DLPB please do, and ask him if it's okay to show DM's between you.
Or moderator logs or chats surrounding him specifically and events he has been involved in.
I don't know DLPB, and I won't pretend to. But from what I have seen from him, I'm under the impression he is a man of evidence and fact. I'd like to think this idea would be something he would actually ask for himself. Show proof to back your point so everyone here can know all the details rather than them only having a piece of it.

Dan, if you are reading this, feel free to message me about this topic, permission for release of any of this data, and any of the events we have been through together over on Discord. I am Tsunamix#4195. I promise you I will not argue, and will be entirely Civil. I will do my best to make it time well spent. What we fell out over was peanuts in comparison the bigger picture at hand. We can even never speak again afterwards.

Everyone here that is standing for DLBP, is standing based on everything they themselves have seen and know. And good on all of you. It's always great to see people stand up for their belief and defend someone. No matter what the reason or who it is.

The people in this thread are totally innocent and have done nothing wrong but share what they have witnessed personally. They are all asking for the same thing. The proof. Correct me if I am wrong guys.
You believe the ban was harsh, the way he was treated was harsh. You wish to defend this.

And naturally mods, you will disagree with them.
But the grounds you disagree with them on, they can't see, or even know about.
They can't be expected to understand your side if it's invisible to them.
You have nothing to lose right? Providing Dan agrees. It's on you if you decide to do it anyway for the sake of everyones knowledge in this topic.

Once that is done, only 2 things can happen. People change their mind, or nothing changes and exactly what is happening right now continues to happen. There is no downside right?
and if possible, do it in order, with date stamps. Even if it goes:

Public, Public, Private, Puclic, Private, Private.
Take them down the roadmap of events in order up the ban. That should help you show everyone how and why you came to your decision. I get that may take a few days but it's worth it.

So now all is said and done, what shall we do?
We've complained about a community divide for so long and never really sat and spoke about how to fix it.

Modders in this thread, we need to bring some buzz back up, something to be excited about.
What are you working on right now? Can we help in any way?

I think it's about time we all make something cool together. Something where the Author being listed as "Qhimm modding community" sums up the credits perfectly because we all did it.

And if that can't be done, then lets give the users something else. Snippets of progress we've made?
New projects we've started? What are we doing behind the scenes.

I would like to clarify from me specifically, anything I say in this thread is not argumentative or for ill purpose to defend myself or bash on DLPB. Even if I disagree hard with someone here. I am totally okay with agreeing to disagree, shaking hands and moving forward. This is a conversation.
I hope the others agree to this logic.

If DLPB had been muted or received punishment for every "Offence" he had made on this forum so far.
His strike count would have had him banned anyway. So no, largely I would not have left because he wouldn't have been here today either.

However, there is a different scenario here.
Lets assume that DLPB only became this way because he was never told he was doing anything wrong.
Now, that wouldn't be his fault. It would to a degree but still.
You can say the same with parenting for the most part.

If you haven't been told your doing wrong, you can't be expected to learn.
Which would be the mods fault.

So using that exact same logic as my previous reason. I'll happily contradict myself here.
If he had been muted every time he messed up. He may have learned that what he was he was doing was wrong, and not do it anymore. Thus stopping me from leaving.

It's a hard question to answer really. I can't speak for the others who were way more involved than I was.
I didn't poke or prod him ever, never started a fight on his threads, my threads, or make new threads.
My decision was based 90% on that 1 event with Covid.

I would also like to believe that each of our status' in the community did not weigh in on the final decision. Obviously I don't know the answer to this but...
If enough new members joined and got harassed by him and complained.
Only to be told by the mods "Don't care, you're a nobody" I'd have left lol.

It's the same logic for me. I don't want to work in an environment where:
 - A single person can be protected. Making them more important than others.
 - Being harassed repeatedly with no consequence. From anyone.

I'm not gonna say I can't deal with these things. Of course I can, I'm 27.
But if I wanted that shit I'd go to Reddit or something.
Forum rules are there for a reason. They aren't just a scare tactic in the hopes you just do them.
You need to be shown that they're real and must be abided by.
Otherwise what's the point?

He did work with people from time to time. I agree. My dislike for him will not cloud my eyes.
He has helped me out in the past, as he has many of people.
I know that. I use his Reunion script. Which he even now is still happy to allow me to do.
Because he's able to put a good creation over personal vendettas.
That's fantastic, not many can do that. I appreciate that.

But the amount of good you do should never mask the bad. And vice versa.
If you do something shitty, pay for it. It doesn't matter if you helped an old lady cross the street this morning. When you steal from the local shop your still in the wrong.

Newcomers joining this site could very easily be put off by seeing people hating each other.
Think about the forum, not the individuals. We are all here together, as a community.

We are all adults. And hence forth the action we decided to take was to walk away peacefully.
We did not cause a fight or an uproar, we didn't go down in flames and be banned in a blaze of glory upon leaving.
Hell we didn't even come back to defend ourselves against him trying his very hardest to provoke us after we already left. He tried to start a new fight after we already moved on.

Ignoring someone becomes difficult when they try their hardest to lure you into a fight.
Release their mod with files slandering you. Create threads dedicated to ruining your reputation.

Walking away peacefully without a fight was the most adult thing we could do.
For the sake of the forum and it's users who had to witness everything.
It is on us as mod creators to make this place into a forum people want to be.

Imagine Davey who signed up 3 days ago and see's an uproar like this?
They might lose all interest and say "fern that, I'm out."
They need to see modders working together, getting along and respecting each other.

If that cannot be achieved, then walk away.

I shouldn't have to change in order to get along with someone.
They either should follow the rules or just not do it to begin with.

Thank you guys for taking the step you took today.

I truly do understand how hard it probably was to do. It's never a decision you want to make.
I felt similar when I clicked the "Post" button on my Goodbye thread. It was weird...

I left on my own terms and for my own reasons.
Very different reasons from the other members who followed suit in fact.

I was personally attacked for no reason other than the fact i tried to help DLPB when I thought he was asking for it. In a time of panic when everyone was concerned. Even me. Upon receiving my help he laughed in my face.

Me and him have no other qualms. Work related or other. For the most it was that.
That was the day I swore I'd leave if change did not happen.
Anything after that was me sticking around to see happened I guess.

However, I thank you all for hearing my voice. I understand a moderators job sucks.
But remember this. We as modders create things here. If it was paid this would literally be called work.
And this place is our work environment. Our online office we come to, to share it, get feedback, and whatever else.

If the environment sucks, people won't want to come to work.

I should mention too. DLPB being banned is only half of what I needed to see in order to believe in this forum again. I wasn't just gone because I didn't like him.

The second half was the moderators realising that it's their job to look after this place.
A playground with no teachers will destroy itself. Whats worse is when the bully of the playground is the headmasters son. So he gets away with everything.

Now I know that these things sound like they were guaranteed to come hand in hand upon fixing them but they weren't. This very thread is the evidence that the second half wanted to see.
They could have just banned him and a new DLPB comes along. But change has been made.
Therefor, I am back.

Seems for the most part, the reason this new wave of drama happened has gone unknown by the general population of the forum. This was not random.

So for you guys who have gone uninformed, I will keep you in the loop.

DLPB put out his new version of the Reunion. Fantastic! Well done. Everyone loves an update.
The problem was... it came with a file named "The Reunion - About GPL License" which is 967 words focused purely on slandering TrueOdin and QuantumPencils names and basically claimed the laws he was forced to follow was stupid because he doesn't like them.

This happened after the original fight was over and settled. Therefor turning into the 1st move in this new chess game.

I have been asked by Moderators not to share the file so if you need the evidence of this please ask them directly. It is not my place to share it. Heck assuming it is still inside The Reunion you could go download it yourself.

I am remaining totally impartial right now despite previous events.
The purpose of this comment is only to spread awareness of exactly why what has happened, is happening for those who do not know.

A new Beta version will be up soon hopefully. At this point in time any progress updates of mods I am involved in will be made on our own forum as opposed to this one.

Downloads links will still appear here as they come but discussion for the most part will be over there from now on.

Feel free to join us:

It'll act just like Qhimm does but it's our own space for the Tsunamods team.
