I made some screens, first with project eden and then with angelwing. Some areas really look better now (sharpened, "less pixelated").
The only "downside" i've noticed is here:

(Don't mind the pixelation here. Apparently that's because i have the italian versione of the game and it has something to do with hashcodes. Not that i mind tho).
Exept for that, this looks awesome (to be clear: so far i've done very few screeshots-comparison, only inside Balamb's Garden).

Waouh, a better quality than eden and without loss of detail :O (Well for me). Actually it's more detailed and the pictures aren't distorted like some "upscale" we can see on others games. Really great job !

I wanted to ask if its was possible that you or someone else create a torrent, since my internet is not fast enough or stable enough to download a 1.3gb file :D The battlefield pack which was only 400mb~ took a while to download after many connection errors, any help would be appreciated :D.

Thanks for taking interest in my request! i actually, after a few more attempts managed to download it using jdownloader, the issue was that with my crappy connection sometimes just dying out of nowhere, google drive wouldn't keep the progress of the download but jdownloader would.
The mod is great! the game looks great thanks to all the enhancements i've applied with all the mods and i'm ready for a replay of one of my favorite game of all time, thanks a lot for the effort you put into modding the game, this game means a lot to me and with these graphics refresh it feels new and shiny :D

Should I replace them by the same file in your rar? The original files are bigger in tonberry 2.04 that why idk if i should replace them or not :)

Thank you. :) All you really need to do is replace the "collisions" one with mine. I did go in and tweak that one. But for ease, I just tell people to replace both.

Does anyone know how to put these together? I like to keep an album of the static backgrounds and these look great but they're not in a format that I can save to a photo album. I've got the ones ripped from FFDream but they're LQ, look like garbage and I've noticed from my most recent playthrough that they're even missing some of the backgrounds from the game
Quick question about the mod. First of all, great job on it, everything looks great and I can't wait to start my playthrough with it! I'm just having a little issue when it comes to the collisions file for it, am I supposed to just place this in the hashmap folder because when I do the SquareSoft text gets all glitched out and cut off when I open the game, as well as some text not even being there, such as the buttons screen when you first start up the game and when you goto quit the game, there's just no options. It's just a black empty box with two more empty boxes inside. I'm sure I'm screwing up with where I'm placing the collisions since I tested everything out and that's what causes the text to disappear in these situations.
Hi, i want to report a critical bug in this mod. When i play the game aprox 5-6' and i cross some screens bettween zones and the displays turns black (or enter in a fight) the game it crashes (stop). I installed the English SeedRebon 3.5 and then I deleted the hasmap file and installed the Italian hasmap with its textures. Until then, no problem, I installed the horizonpack and everything was still fine and then I installed the angelwing.

"Optional: Mcindus was kind enough to completely rework the game's directory sign and I gotta say that I quite like it. And he did it for all languages! But in case you don't want to use it, I've left the original upscales in the textures folder. Just find "bg_hall7" and delete the folder. Then remove the "a" from the alternate one below it and you'll be good to go."

Your files are not placed properly. hash2map and collisions need to be in the MAIN tonberry folder, NOT in /hashmap -- that folder is only for specifically named hashmaps. the hash2map and collisions files are needed for main tonberry functionality and they belong in the parent FINAL FANTASY/tonberry folder.I want to say thank you for that quick reply.
ALSO - make sure you have ProjectAngelwing_hm.csv AND your spanish CSV for the file. it's not like the other mods where you only use the specific language hashmap.I have "ProjectAngelwing_hm.csv". Otherwise the mod won't work even using just english version.

I have a question since I have been using your mod for really a long time but in FF8 Steam PC, now they just have released the FF8 Remastered Steam PC just few days ago. Can I still use your mod in FF8 Remastered Steam PC? ^^
Not currently. The games have different file structures, and work still needs to be done on the Remastered version before we have mod support for it beyond "simple" mods like Triple Triad that are found in a textures folder.
I rectify what I said, if you remove the file it does not look good, there are areas that look pixelated, but I have found the solution.I only tried at the beginning of the game I can not ensure that errors do not arise later but the errors of the captures from previous messages it solves them.
You open the file "ProjectAngelWing_hm - Spanish" with the excel and delete cell number a-122 with the entry "ecmall1a_22,18446744073709551615"
I have the same problem with the Spanish version, I modify the file, there's no bug, but the mod doesn't work. I hope there's any solution with this version. :(
What version of the game are you using? I use the original steam. Before modifying the file, if it works for you?

this is very slick work to see this game in such beauty, the wife actually asked me if i was alright the other night . couldn't stop smiling at my screen lol , i was wondering tho ,people that are running the giga pixel test, as it is a test do you want us to share with you some areas we find that stand out ? not meaning to step on toes i can only imagine the work you have put in already, just a thought :)

in general this French version 3 is much better than the 2 :) , but by the way I noticed that for the square and rectangular panels or some detail of the decor and for everything that is number or letter it is less beautiful even illegible compare to version 2 for the moment is the only major problem that I saw ^^
version 3 is really amazing . i wonder though if we can further enhance it the bgs by modifying the backgrounds that have text to further enhance it.
Looking into it. If Gigapixel can't do it better then those fields might have to be upscaled by another program or manually touched up.

Yagami Light posted a link to an older, buggy version on the last page that works with the Remaster.
Mcindus and crew seem to be wrapping up finishing touches on the new, shiny Ultima version though. I wouldn't be surprised if a public release comes out next month.
