Scripting and Reverse Engineering / Meteor Alpha questions...

Hi guys, I have some questions about that program and well, I did not find anything, so Im creating this topic for it lol,
Im editing the field levels of FFVII, but when I compress the files with Ficedula's LGP Tools and I put the file in the FF7 folder AND I try to play the game crashes (I must say that the new compressed file is like the double size than the original, dont know why cos I tryed that even without editing anything  )
So, the question is: How can I re-compress the file to play my edited FF7 Field Levels?

I hope someone can help me^^

Archive / Ex-SOLDIER text..where is it?

Hi, i have the Spanish version of FF7 and I'm searching for the Ex-SOLDIER (EX-SOLDADO in my version) text that appears at the beginning of the game before getting a name for Cloud but the fact is that  I found (in the FF7.exe) the word Ex-SOLDIER in the Spanish version and in the game appears as Ex-SOLDADO so i think is not this text (and even I edited this text and nothing..) and I was searching the in most FFVII files for it but nothing...I know it must be a file containing this (LOL the thing I said LOL!!) but i don't know where is it..^^U

I was searching for the text with a "find text" tool of the hex editor program...

Well someone know something about that?

Hey, exists something to put the char portraits into the dialogs? I mean, not by photoshop  no, by a program or something to see it in-game..

It can be a really cool tool/program right?^^

Well, I was searching for those texts in FF7.exe using a finding tool from the hex editor so i found many texts of HP and MP but not the ones that appear at the main menu of FFVII, so where are those texts?

do you know something? if your mind said yes, please, tell me how to find them please, if not, well, its not your problem so..do what you want lol

Archive / Editing FF7.exe. How?

Well, here is my question, I thought I need to use a "Hex Editor" and I was editing FFText Style in the FF7.exe but, when i saved the changes and i was ready to test the results one window appeared and said: "This is not a valid win32 application" (even the FF7.exe icon changed into no icon) and so, i dont know what really i have to do with that, but, I really need to translate those FFText Style in Spanish version of the game.. well, i hope you can give me some help^^

Archive / changing videos in FFVII

Hi ^^ I have a suggestion and I think is maybe interesting to do, well, Its so "simple": Chage the video files with others, for example: nivlsfs.avi (Sephiroth through the fire on Nibelheim) with the one that appears in the Advent Children, i have done it but, it does some BUG really bad: "The screen just goes to black and the game crashes/freeze (my PC too LOL [¬_¬U])


maybe isnt possible to do that? or am I doing something bad?

The file is in ".avi" like the others but i think theres a problem with it..In fact I have all the videos in my HD but, when i put the new video in the folder MOVIES it dont display the picture of the video like the others too...but i dont know what really is...

I think is interesting to do but, well, theres the problem, I hope you can help me or simply say something about here^^

Hey, what the heck is that thing? well, sorry but the Teioh Editor doesnt seems to save anything if I dont have this library, but, is so strange the program doesnt had this library when i downloaded from the web so, can someone help me?

Troubleshooting / FF7 Text Editing Help PLEASE

Hello, im having one question in my head that doesnt let me sleep, hm, can be Translated the enemy names and the enemy attacks and all that stuff of enemy battle texts? if someone know about any programm that let edit those texts please teach me how pleaaaaaaaaseee!!^^ I have a FF7 "remake" project and i was wondering too if can be loaded the characters portrait images on the dialogue screens or something like that, im retranslating the game into spanish (well, the original-offcial translating was a really shit maybe u guys know that hmmm) so if someone of you guys have any knowledge about that (i think u have U.U and i hope u can  help me and "teach" me how to do those things) im gonna be so happy and so, i say thanks from now n.n thankyouu guyss^^
