JowHoof,
The OpenGL driver isn't correctly installed.  Make sure all antivirus software is disabled before running Bootleg.
I'm not certain if it's just a coincidence, but many people with Radeon 4XXX cards are experiencing problems.
Well actually looking at JowHoof's app.log it says
ERROR: could not open file E:\Final Fantasy VII\data\kernel/window.bin
ERROR: could not open file E:\Final Fantasy VII\data\kernel/kernel.bin
ERROR: could not open file E:\Final Fantasy VII\data\kernel/kernel2.bin
which means he is missing those files, which means he may be using the 2012 FF7 and hasn't used the converter, or he has used the converter and used it wrong, or maybe something else has deleted those files or he doesn't have access to them.
So i don't think this is graphics related

Hey Pitbrat,

Sorry if this has already been posted. I did check the log for bootleg 40 and didn't see it listed, so I thought I'd ask about a problem with Cloud's weapon options.
Might I be doing something wrong?

When I pick Cloud's weapon, I go with the one where the Buster sword has the gold hilt and red handle, on bootleg it's named Millenia+Mike option. Yet when I start the game up, it gives me the Millenia option Buster sword where it's all a grey color.

Just to let you know, I set the bootleg options all how I want them, then check and recheck , the take a look at my mod list to see what's needed, nothing shows red at all.

Thanks :)

Again, sorry if this has already been posted or anything.

EDIT: Do you still have to pretty much uninstall the whole thing, and start over?  I may have found the problem, but I'd hate to do that and it's not the fix I'm looking for.  Even though the bootleg showed me no red, I went and downloaded Trish(aka Mike)s custom model pack.7z, now I have two of those files in my mod folder for bootleg to look at and read from.
Think I'll hold off on the reinstall for now and see what the forums think about this problem I am having.
Other than this, bootleg has came a long way from when I was first here and downloaded it.  Keep up the good work !

As of Bootleg 0039, Grimmy's AC Cloud is not compatible with all of Slayersnext's weapons.
Slayersnext's Buster sword is not compatible with Grimmy's AC Cloud.
Bootleg installs Millenia's Buster sword instead.

Bootleg 040 will allow you to configure each of Cloud's weapons individually.
All combinations of weapon work with all Cloud models.

EQ2Alyza, for translating the game in French, I checked the right box, it appeared bootleg did the work in the DOS prompt mod, at the end of the process, but.. my FF7 is still in US.. :/
Have you ideas of what could I do for fixing that ?
Thanks a lot by advance

PS : I precise that I use a 2012 FF7 version, with the converting tool before applying Bootleg. I have the ff7.exe since the apply of the converter, Aad I have many ff7.exe, such as ff7_en.exe, ff7_fr.exe, etc.. from the 2012 FF7 version

Is anyone with a Radeon 4XXX card able to run the game without a problem?

I've tried with the OpenGl again but nothing :/ I hope it's not my graphics card, otherwise I'll have to wait for mods designed specifically for the new one :(

Are you using a non-English version of Windows?
I think it may be a problem with Bootloader finding CD-Rom drives.
I've changed the way Bootloader populates the data drive list.  Hopefully this error is fixed.

Those log file errors are normal.  This happens when installing Menu Overhaul to a non-English game.

Thanks to you PitBrad.
It's a French version of windows 7 64 bits, so yes.
But yesterday, I was able to config my bootLoader and write to .cfg file, but yesterday I'm not.. And I have those red errors pop up messages.
I try again right now.
Can't translate to French anyway. Is french language really available in Bootleg 0039, when the menu is selected to fr ? Cause my FF7, yesterday, was still in English.

EDIT : pop-up messages problem resolved ! It was a letter drive problem, sorry for that ..
Just the translation problem right now.
Thanks a lot again

Yeah I was wondering about that. I have used the converter. I can't even get the game to run without bootleg atm, so I'm not sure what I can do to rectify, can these files be made available by somebody out there? I followed EQ2Alyza's converter tutorial so not sure where I could have gone wrong!
Edit: It also says ERROR: could not open file E:\Final Fantasy VII\ff7input.cfg which also doesn't exist in my directory

I only use the Hi-Res Classic Cloud, so the weapons don't work with it as well.  But that's awesome that bootleg 40 will let you config Cloud's weapons.  Thanks for the answer Pit

Thanks Squall, I'll give that a read and see if it helps. I love me some buster sword! So much so I change other swords to look like it. lol

EDIT
That did the trick like a charm. Got the Buster sword in I want.  Thanks Squall  I so didn't want to have to reinstall everything. hehehe

Well if you have already run the converter successfully you should have those files, something may have gone wrong. After running my converter you should have a file called
copyfiles.bat
which should be in the root of your FF7 folder (in your case E:\Final Fantasy VII\) this is run on installation of the converter but i left it there even after installation just incase this sort of thing happened, run this BAT file and it should put the .BIN files into the right place (go to E:\Final Fantasy VII\data\kernel once its done to check). And if the BAT file isn't there then you didn't install the converter properly and you should probably start from the beginning again (i mean uninstall all FF7 stuff and start again if you can or maybe just try installing the converter again).
also the ff7input.cfg isn't something to worry about, it isn't required to run the game (unless you are on a laptop or a keyboard without a numberpad its pretty useless)

Ok thank you so much PitBrad, I don't know how but I succeded translating in French. I have just menus in game in English, but items names and dialogs are in fr.
Is there a way to have menus traduced too ?
All the other is traduced, so it would not be so horrible fir me if not

EDIT : I think that it's Aeris revival check case to the bootLoader who brings ly FF7 not traduced.. strange, but checking that box disables the fr traduction.

Mods like Hardcore, Aeris Revival and Menu Overhaul ReTranslation are in English.
These mods are not translated.
The text contained in FF7.EXE is English only.
I do not have access to the translated text for FF7.EXE.
I will greatly appreciate anyone who can provide the translated text for FF7.EXE in touphscript format.

If I give you a French fflevel.lgp does it helps you ? It's in this file I believe there are some translated texts
How I can help you for this ? Extracting with thoughScript texts from my ff7_fr for example ?

The French, Spanish, German and Italian translations are available for most of the game files.
A touphscript compatible FF7.EXE translation is missing for French and Italian.

I'm trying to use the HRC_resizer for the CTCC 3.0 but is not working T_T. i'm getting this error.
Component 'COMDLG32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

Just download and copy the file  'COMDLG32.OCX' to the folder of touphscript, try google, our http://windowsxp.mvps.org/comdlg32.htm

The amount of text in the file is very small, only translate from English to the language you want.

The touphscript is still very bad for translation if we take into account that he always rejects the extraction of scrips if the source file is very different from the original. Prefer translate flevel.lgp with Loveless.
