He posted on overclock.net defending himself.

Hi Jeffdamann,

When I created the site I did request permission to link to the mods. Every single modder has been stated and given credit to, and in my Blogroll, you will see links to Qhimm and every other relevant site pertaining to the game.

I have done nothing illegal; if anything I've helped Qhimm out by acting as a buffer to noobs who do not know how to use forums and how to mod. Do you know how many people message me on a weekly basis asking for help. I even took the liberty of creating step by step mod tutorials.

People all over the world thank me for actually bothering to provide them with easy to understand guides on how to Mod so that they too can enjoy the games. This has raised an awareness and I hope, will contribute to SE realizing that there is still a demand for this game, which may ultimately urge them to remake the game.

Are you saying it's illegal to link to the forums where it can be downloaded, but it's not illegal to download them and re-upload them with your own twists. Just because my site actually ranks no.1 for the keyword Final Fantasy 7 PC and therefore has been found by people looking to play this wonderful game all over again, does not mean that there are not other sites claiming the mods to be their own, or even modifying the mods without consent from the original creator.

So before you start saying that my site is illegal, and I did not get consent please do your due diligence. I am a fan much like any other, and I contributed in whatever way I could.

My site is there to help people, not rob them.

Oh, and come and Kill me.... lmao. Seriously, grow up dude. We live in an age where billion dollar companies are trying to stop people from torrenting and file sharing their **** and here you are crying about me linking to Qhimm and crediting each and every modder and that's still not good enough? Get a grip.

I said "if he had stolen any of my content Id kill him, so thats what that last paragraph is about.

I think we need to get this site to rank up there when searching FF7 PC or FF7 mods....

Lmao that would be ridiculous. You could stage it at the shinra mansion lol.

Of course, I was thinking of making a thread that highlights all the mods with pics, movies, links, etc so that everything can be found in one consolidated thread. I know this has been done before. But the thread that holds this information needs to be HIGHLY professional.

Also If I ever got permission from all the mod owners to do such a thing, Id want the topic to be locked because its just there to showcase all the mods and link you to them, no reply is needed.

81
Well if I ever make a thread that needs embedded videos, could I get you to edit the posts for me(if You feel like it) so that it can have said videos?

82
Well gimme some admin priveleges then ;)

I think you could give it to people with FREAK level or higher, im sure noone here would abuse it.

83
the button combination is the equivalent of Start-Select-Ri-R2-L1-l2 on the psx, I have done it on pc, I just can remember the corresponding keys

84
I think we desperately need embedded youtube videos. Im becoming a recording whore with these GPU's( can you say fraps recording at 100 fps in Battlefield: BC2? I can :P

Yes, Im going to edit for asthetics, But Im going to show EVERY LAST PIXEL, command, everything at least once in the videos.

Also I asked for help on programs at overclock.net and a fellow there said it would be a good idea to create a post over there showcasing qhimm.coms work. I told him IDK, as I havent created much but I would put what Ive created up and have to ask the mod owners indiviually if they mind if I posted there work.

Make no mistake if I were to do such a thing I would garner most anyones mod over mine and give nice, big bolded credits to the owners for there work. Just an idea dont get mad at me or anything  ;)

Yeah I do need some specific strategy for the tweaks youve done, so that I can showcase what you have done. I would like to do this by starting the fight using a regular FF7 users orthadox stategy, and then getting pummeled, and having to switch to the proper new strategy.

Im going to do a lets play of GjoeRulvs FF7 hardcore. Im going to also use all the mods from here in my videos.

I need to know a good video convertor to reduce the massive size of FRAPS avi's to a more reasonable level with little loss of detail. For 20 mins im thinking of around 1 gig. What do you suggest? Also what should I use to record audio over the file?(Commentary)

Also I need suggestions on how to alter my playing style to highlight the new tactics involved because I just always followed my old tactics of power-level, spam hero drink/megalixer, etc lol.

Here are some examples

Hey guys Im going to start putting out business cards and flyers soon. Could someone work me up a attention grabbing flyer template for me to write on? I would really appreciate it.

Maybe throw some red and high detail in it? I dont know. I just need it to catch peoples eye on bulletin boards amongst "other" crap like mine lol.

No limitations at all my friend. If anyone would be interested I will set up a server. Im sure noone here is "uber-good" at TF2 so we could all have plenty of fun, and we would be able to interact with each other besides for just on a text and picture forum.

I myself would be highly enthusiastic about this proposition, but it doesnt seem as if you guys feel the same.

If I can get 8 players to commit, Ill make a server for our first game.

Would you be interested in meeting up for a couple of hours once a week with the other players on here? I will make and host a server and we could all decide how to set it up, what maps to play, hell we could probably play as FF chars on FF maps(I might just be crazy)

A few people Ive talked to didnt know this, so I figured it was worth posting. Just get steam, go to the Team Fortress 2 page as if you were buying a game, and just install. No Purchase Necessary

Also, If you guys are at all interested in this game, Id like to set up a server for us to all get together once a week and play together. It would be a good community builder and we could get to know each other.

Let me hear your thoughts on the subject.

Just to give you some stats on what Im getting and have found out.

My gpu's pull 350 megahash each(idk what a hash is, but its the calculation speed I assume)

I joined a pool, which is several hundred users working towards the same block, every block has 50 bitcoins, but it is unknown how long it will take to solve a block.

A commonly used analogy is rolling dice. Imagine you have x number of dice(x being the difficulty) and a rolling for a specific combination of those dice. Your gpu rolls 1000's of times a second, and it could roll the specific combination in 1 roll, or ten years worth of rolls(wont happen but you know how probability works, you theoretically "could" flp a coin a million times and have it always come up heads)

When the block is solved, the pool manager keeps 0.5 bitcoins for maintenance , and the other 49.5 are distrubuted According to the % of work you put forth to solving the block. I currently am #25 in my pool, and get around 0.35 BTC for every solved block. Usually 1-2 are solved over a 24 hour period. The current market rate for a bitcoin is around 15$.
At that rate I am making roughly 10$ a day, but if you look at how WILDLY the bitcoin market fluctuates, there is great chance that 1 BTC could become worth 100 USD in the coming years.(Also great chance of it being worth 0 usd unfortunately)

I have found many places to legitamately exchange bitcoins for cold hard cash, prepaid debit cards, or goods.

I have personally bought a real life bitcoin(no value, just for looks) Plated in gold(brass) Of very nice quality for 0.59 BTC, so I can attest that you can at least do that with them.

There are currently 710.3946 BTC in demand worth an estimated 12,493 dollars.

There are many users who buy POS cheap ass mobo's with a ton of pci-e slots and build minimalist rigs with top end gpus, hooked up vie PCI-E extender cables, so that heat becomes less of a problem from stacking. Heat is also counteracted by SEVERELY underclocking the GPU memory. They underclock like many people overclock, finding the highest core to lowest memory ratio that runs stable.

One guy in my pool currently draws 12-15 ghash... I get 1.2 ghash max. He has apparently built a massive mining farm and invested a lot of resource in the Bitcoin craze. He gets around 3-3.5 bitcoins per block, which translates to roughly 100$ a day at current difficulty and market rates.

Just a bit of info I have found on the subject for you guys.

Having these 6970's, I just started mining bitcoins. Ive read a lot of info on it, but the currency's inner workings are still unknown to me.

I have 1 lingering question.. What gives a bitcoin value. Is it really just because people give it value? The wiki states that the mathematical prrof of work problems that your gpu performs are internal to bitcoins operations. This doesnt make sense to me.

I mean couldnt we all have just decided to make rocks a currency and decide to pay so much per rock? Would it be any different?(assuming there would only ever be 21 million rocks in the world and it takes time and effort to find a rock.)

Im giving this thing a go, considering the rates of increase. I currently make around 1 BTC per day(15$ at current exchange rate) I am also dumping excess cash into bitcoins, I hope the bottom doesnt fall out.

Am I wasting my time?(please dont comment on this without more knowledge of the system than me)

Also discussions about bitcoins are explicitly FORBIDDEN at overclock.net . I wonder why? What is so bad about them to FORBID any discussion about them?

Please share any thoughts you have on this phenomena, Id really like to hear your input.

Yes he does have that flaw. Ive answered is you character female, no. Is your character an adult man, no. Is your character a woman, no.

I think he asks a few unneccasary questions to add rto his database.

Also I did rock biter(he got it right away) and then did the nothing as well. The questions arent suited for an entity without consciousness I beieve.

You can also get yourself, a dear friend, your wife, your husband, your boyfriend, your girlfriend, a random stranger, your boyfriends best friend, your best friends boyfirend(my wife played a lot) etc.

I even tried with Ackinator as the character... he got it straight away
Edit: He also got marlboro man straight away.
OMG, He got Cid Highwind basically from me saying a blonde adult male from the final fantasy series lol, it couldve been anyone.

You have to continue clicking too general. After 3 guesses he gives up, he still may know him yet!

And if not you get an option to add him I believe.

This thing can guess ANY character, real or fake. I tried Gumby, Mr. Ed, Uli Jon Roth, Cloud Strife, Barney Fife(hey they rhyme, distant relatives maybe? I hope not...)Xena Warrior Princess, Mr. Clean, and sebastian from the little mermaid, he got evrey one of those before going through 15 questions. This game is great!

At the rate things are going, With AMD fusion and these new ssds, I predict in 10 years computers will have moved on from what we have always known them,

One of those phase change ssd's would make ram completely obsolete if they gave it direct highspeed access to the SB

APU's will take over in home computing when the technology improves.

In the future I see a pc as 3 main components. A motherboard, an APU, and phasechange ssd working as ram as well.
Thats all you would need.

Me and my cousin played 2 player mode because we had only one system, so instead of watching each other play as we took turns, we played together.
