Oh it was so simple! Disabling shaders worked. Thank you Kompass!

Troubleshooting / Strange problem with textures
« on: 2013-08-05 13:23:16 »
My installation worked just fine a month ago. Now I wanted to continue my playthrough and everything looks like this . Is it common bug? Maybe my firewall/antivirus messed something up, because I got some alerts, I just clicked always ignore option. This is SE store version of the game. Yes i'm Noob with all this stuff =)

Solved Problems / Re: FF7config.exe has stopped working
« on: 2013-01-15 12:09:19 »
Just wanted to add that if anyone has problems with Config.exe or Bootloader and you are using Comodo Internet Security, be sure to disable all three: Comodo Antivirus/Firewall & Defense+ .

But it would help to see what system you have (Hardware, OS). Stuff like that could caused by thousand of diffrent things. If you have a Systems with nVidia Optimus for example, you have to use the integrate graphic card to run the config. After that you can switch back to the nVidia graphic card.

You sir have been most helpful! I just had to run Config.exe with integrated graphic (I have Nvidia Geforce GT 635M)  Thanks a lot!

Let's hope everything keeps working right! =)

Solved Problems / FF7config.exe has stopped working
« on: 2013-01-14 17:30:22 »
Basically this is my problem. Every single time when my Config.exe tries to load up, it crashes. I was able to play with my last installation, but I encountered some critical problems.

Now I made a clean install and I followed Alyza's new tutorial video (Thanks for that by the way). I made everything as instructed. Bootleg installed everything else fine, except when it tried to load up Configuration ---> it failed. Now after bootleg, when I try to launch the game thru bootloader, it starts Configuration and then I see that annoying windows message -->  it's game over =)

Is there any hope for me left, or should I just give up? I've tried everything I can think of. Yeah and this time I don't have any APP.logs.

Bootleg Questions / Re: [Tutorial] Tifa's Bootleg
« on: 2013-01-13 13:56:44 »
I have searched the forum for possible solutions, but nothing I found seems to work. I have installed Bootleg 0040 over a fresh install of FF7. Everything is great, except the safe combination in the Shinra Mansion. I only see the top part of the numbers, meaning I can't actually enter the combination. I have seen multiple threads where this was an issue, but the solutions offered there have not worked for me. Can anyone point me to which file contains that, so I can use the default file to get past that part, then switch back? Or even better, what may be causing the problem to begin with?

I had same problem, but I still managed to get the combination right =) Took a while though. No idea what may have caused this problem =/

Troubleshooting / Re: Yuffie doesn't... fight
« on: 2013-01-12 14:05:58 »
I had exact same problem. Made clean re-install without Grimmy's Yuffie model and everything seems to be working now just fine.

Evening! I'm very happy that I waited for this 040 release. I had some problems with previous version, probably because I didn't convert it right. Now the game works just fine after bootleg, BUT I still can't run FF7Config.exe! Had same problem before, but now I can play the game though.

After ~5hours of smooth gameplay, I ran to first problem! Game crashes in Yuffie fight and it's weird & glitchy. I'm using FF7 2012 version and Bootleg 040. Here's my APP.log, which was empty last time. I have no idea does this offer any information lol. (Still new to this modding stuff). Thanks! =)

Just made clean install and didn't touch Chrome browser. My APP file is still blank and same problem exists ---> FF7 config.exe crashes at startup.

Are you using Windows 8?  There are still some issues when installing with Windows 8.

Also make sure that the file .\data\field\flevel.lgp is present.
Sometimes when running the new to old conversion multiple times deletes this file.

Located that file also and OS is Win7.

Hello everyone! Firstly I want to thank everyone here at Qhimm.com who has been working with these outstanding looking mods! I spent last night trying to get this Bootleg working with my 2012 Re-release version of the game, now i'd like to ask your help.

I've followed the whole tutorial and everything went smooth, but it looks like the problem is FF7 config.exe which always crashes at startup. I've tried everything, Run as administrator, compatibility modes etc... Firewall/antivirus are disabled and so on, tried to reinstall few times also. I'm using Win7.

I'm new to this modding stuff, so probably this is just me being dumb =)
