The 3rd Birthday :/
« on: 2011-04-01 04:25:27 »
I made a topic about Parasite Eve 1/2 a year or something like that ago, and well I believe Parasite Eve 3 (The Third Birthday as it's called now) came up and since it just came out maybe a few days ago might as well talk about it.

I only got the storyline from the Site they had up,( http://www.the3rdbirthdaygame.com/ )and at first glance I hated it. I saw nothing to do with the past games, but then I read it over and saw it fairly Interesting . I myself haven't picked it up yet, but it looks pretty good gameplay wise to me.  Not exactly Parasite Eve-style, but it works for a PSP game and a sequel 10 years later, it's looks pretty good.

Thoughts/Opinions?

Cleared it already, and I can tell you it's a damn good game. It's definitively not the best game story-wise (PE1 is still far superior), but the gameplay itself is very interesting even if a bit simplistic sometimes. As usual, the game offers no more than 10-15 hours of actual story, so walk away if you're looking for something a bit more dense.

Just finished it at work, only 9 hours long!?

This game was terrible! The camera was so annoying. The first two are legendary games, this one not so much :/. The script didn't make any sense. Also one of the most linear games I've played in my life.

Not the first time somebody mentioned problems with the camera. Honestly, I found it rather decent, especially thanks to the center-in-front-of-you button. The only issues I experienced were with those weapons having no lock-on at all, but I got used to them quite quickly.

I don't think it's that bad actually. I've never played the first two though. The camera thing really gets me too, especially when your trying to run from the Reapers and it moves to an awkward angle and you end up getting killed -_-

Really wanted to play this till I read about camera issues, so hoping it will get ported to another platform eventually.
I still can't believe Nintendo put 1 analog stick on the 3ds either haha, so damn stupid.
