Hi. Im trying to re-continue this. But i have some issues with touphScript (i cannot extract the text) If so, i will continue using Loveless. About the tildes, i really dont know, in my version, i can see that character. I think that something else needs to be done, than only replacing flevel.lgp if you have english version. Afterall, this should be apply to an spanish install...

Well, im trying to extract all spanish data from Sflevel.lgp (also tried to rename flevel.lpg) and english flevel.lgp, but no luck. After some files extracted, that error happened:

Hi.

I've just installed bootleg with a fresh copy of Final Fantasy VII. Everything is great!!! but Cloud... doest have a sword in combat!! Looking at logs seems something is missing. Please, any help is welcome.

First contact. Just to see how it goes. Just replace flevel.lgp at \data\field in Final Fantasy VII directory. If you have spanish version and not Remix version, you should rename flevel.lgp into sflevel.lgp.

This goes up Aeris Church.

Make sure to make backups from your files.

Again, thanks for the info. Is there an faq i miss where to find all options can handle ff7_opengl? (that's because my ff7_opengl at last, dont contain modpath)

This dont mean sense to me. In spanish script, seems that Barret is talking with Shinra Manager, but English one seems to his folks.

But makes more sense to Shunra Manager i think. Well, what do you think?

I've installed Avalanche, menu seems improve, also avatars now are loaded from textures directory, but they are some things that are not updated. For example, the main menu image, also the spells. What could be? I've seen the files .lgp are modified. What's wrong?

Greetings.

Im looking for how to load custom textures using ff7_opengl with /modpath, but i cannot find an example, nor exactly how the syntaxis is. Anyone could help me please?

Edit: To fix the problem with spanish FFVII when using new textures, is prior to avalanche mod, rename spanish files like menu_sp.lgp to english one, after that, rename again into spanish. It works. So not ff7_opengl issue, so please mods, move to proper location, might help someone else.

But the question is still there, how to use modpath option?

Well, after using Loveless, seems that one thing i wanted to do long time ago, its possible. Fix the HORRENDOUS Spanish from English translation (PC version)

But i will not re-translate the game, but fix and change what needs to be changed. For example, Tifa and Jessie always speaks to herself like a male, some things are totally different from original (or very bizarre), and a lot A LOT of typos.

So, I'm working on this. I'm just starting but, I've done it until the beginning of second bomb mission.

I'm not asking helping to make this, but, is there a list with weird things about Japanese / English translation differences final fantasy VII? The ones that changed history, events, personality from characters, etc.

This also expands for anyone Spanish who played the game. An example i want to do to find (and fix!)

In Spanish version, when Cloud arrives to 7h Heaven first time, Tifa tells Cloud he always fight Barret since childhood. And that's not correct. The English version said Barret always bitched people around him, and Cloud always was fighting with no cause when he was younger. The difference is HUGE.

Another thing:

English version, the characters speaks using some accent (for example Barret). Spanish translation is just plain. So (and here i need someone Spanish) how could reflect that in Spanish?

Well. If there is enough interest, i could upload the first and second bomb mission fixed translation.

This patch seems great. But seems other version than english cannot use the patch. Why? Reunion, can you please make a non-check version? The spanish data are slightly different. But the graphs are the same. Can you make a .ffpatch version? Hands patch works wonderfull...

another issue is: When you want to make png's from the model, you should choose what angle. Always use the front.

But the fact .b3d models are blocky (like .3ds). ASE files are more sharpher.

Will you continue improving your explendid program? Like exporting anims?

Just something. When i run the program, an error message appears: Invalid Filename. But the program Run. Do you know why?

EDIT: The only thing now is export/import animation.... Great work Ficedula

EDIT 2: Seems some models crash the program. I try to view RYAA. But the program refuse to work. And crash to windows wihout error. Could be my battle.lgp? RTAA seems to show an error message (but that not close the program) : stream read error

Long time since my last post.

But i want to congrat all of you guys.... you are making an explendid work with Final Fantasy. Oh my, maybe Square Enix dont make a Remake in the future, but maybe here YES. Or a FF editable. That's incredible.

Like i said, im amazed. :)

Ok, just only one question:

I want to mess with Blitz3d. Now Biturn export the models to ASE correctly. My question is: Is there a ASE -> 3DS or better an ASE -> b3d or ASE -> MD2 without losing model details? Just to mess with the models.... :)

i tried all graphs mode (with/without acceleration, quarter, etc), all patches (chocobo, xp, without)

And all is the same: FF7.exe crashed in the point where you exit to the right, after the dammit dialogue (i saw it ENOUGH TIMES). I tried in another machine with similiar specs.

My specs:

XP +2800, 512 Ram. Ati 9600, Catalyst 03.2

OS: Winxp Sp1.

Other machine.

The same, but with Ati 9500.
