Hey guys i'm new to all these mods and currently i'm using aali's and seed mods together and my problem is when i use this mod there is a white light on every text it makes it very difficult to play can anyone help me please.

Maybe this helps:

Open with Notepad ff8_opengl.cfg
Find the line that starts with 'enable_postprocessing'
and write 'enable_postprocessing = no' there.

This way store, please make sure that is actually stored.

Hi guys, great work on this mod, I love it.  I was playing FF8 on the PC version with SEED installed, everything looks great.  I recently purchased the steam DLC version and have been unable to get this mod to work, does anyone have any idea what needs to be done?  Thanks in advance for any help!

To my knowledge, Aali's driver not running with the steam version.

I have bootleg not installed at the moment, so I do not know exactly where you need to look for.
But you can make search for 'char.lgp' your whole hard drive.

Bootleg itself contains the only alternative to the GC, Kranmers new to old patch.
But even these programs need admin rights ...

It looks as if your char.lgp is wrong or missing.
This is in the folder '[gamedir]\data\field'
You can try to find an intact version in the backup folders and copy them there.

For some reason GC is not running with admin rights, although is already taking place protection at start of GC.

Behind it should be something like

set music volume: 127

come.

Obviously FF7 or Aali's driver have problems, to set the volume.

Just try to update your sound driver, then adjust again in FF7Config everything.

EDIT 2: I was just checking out the graphics tab in the config and on the side has a list called "Required 3D Features for Direct3D" and they all pass except for the last one which says fail and its called "8-bit Paletted Textures"

This is normal.
'8-bit Paletted Textures' my knowledge is nowadays supported by none graphics card anymore.

Seems as if GC has yet found the path.
However, the 'Access Denied' messages are very puzzling to me.
I can not explain these messages...

Can you turn on UAC (default, the PC then reboot) and GC start with UAC turned on?

Usually the keys are for the Steam version here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Steam App 39140

It would be interested to know where the keys are with you.

However, the scanning of the key is not absolutely necessary.
You can also manually enter the path to FF7.

Far more worrying is me the 'Access Denied' messages.
Apparently the writing of necessary key is blocked at your laptop.
Maybe you have installed a security program that blocks access?

The mistake in his app.log point rather to the fact that the Prorgamm the lgp files can not unpack properly.

One possibility would be that WyndBalduram has installed (eg) German version of FF7, but uses the engischen 1.02 patch.
But then one would have also to rename the gflevel.lgp in flevel.lgp, etc...

Yes, I also have the presumption that your unpacker not working properly.

So, I had arrived to this conclusion : those files are INSIDE Bootleg.exe.

That's right 

MY QUESTION : If the files are in the folder and in Bootleg.exe, why does it not working ?

Order to above mentioned files to unpack it needs about 310 MB free space on the system partition.
If space is not available or the data are extracted and written too slowly to disk, the 'Sprinkles.7z' may not found.

Hold the Bootleg.exe (CMD box) with the pause button briefly and wait until the hard drive is ready.


EDIT: BFE.exe and Bootleg.exe request automatic admin rights.

I've executed it both from CMD in (win98 mode so as to have no UAC needed)

I am almost sure, bootleg does not work with Windows 98   
My Game Converter I have in this respect not tested, but can not rule out that he would actually run with Win98 

Ultimately copied the GC everything from the folder 'data, lang-en' in the 'data' folder, integrates the 1.02 patch adds a Aali's driver and sets the registry correctly.

Bootleg also has its own Game Converter.
If you have the English version of FF7 and the UAC is not active for you, you can dispense with my GC.

Do you have the original installation CD yet?
Attempts to copy the folder 'data' from there to your hard drive.
I had to also massive problems to produce clean images of the CD's.

If I have problems with USB devices I uninstall the USB device in Device Manager and let Windows search for new devices.
So far I was able to solve all the problems so.

Bootleg has its own Game Converter, namely of Kranmer.
But it only works with the English version, and only when UAC is turned off.
Perhaps some virus scanners also blocks Kranmers version.

These limitations don't exist with my Game Converter.

At the moment it is best to leave it that way ...

You can try to manually start FF7Music and select another profile (TAB 'Files').
Or you create a new profile and choose the music from which you want.
Double-click on the song title on the left and select the file to be played instead.

Actually should be at 'none', the original files are used, unless they are faulty.

You can copy from the installation CD the folder 'data' to your game folder again manually.

Or did you forget to install the 'Official Patch 1.02'?

so what should i do then. should i uninstall the game and all the mods and restart fresh again and use the converter you linked back?

It is probably necessary.
Uninstall the game and then use FF7-REMOVE-Keys.exe to clean the registry.
Delete then all other games folders, if any, but not the folder  I:\Games\FF7Mods
Now reinstall the game.

If there's room on I:\, you can copy the folder 'Final Fantasy VII' elsewhere again.
Then you must specify the path to the copy in both, the Game Converter (after 'If an installation path IS NOT found, TYPE IT IN and press ENTER.') and in BFE.exe (TAB 'Installation', field 'Destination Location').

What Game Converter you use does not matter, BFE.exe install anyway Aali's driver 0.7.11b

You should at BFE.exe in the 'Temporary Files' specify a folder that is not a system folder, eg 'I:\Games\BFE_TEMP' (please create before).
Also the other fields in the TAB 'Installation' should contain the correct paths.

You've set the option for the mod_path wrong, I think.
Either on 'mod_path = none' or to sub-folders in the mods folder, eg
