Hey D@rio welcome to the board.  Just FYI, the MODs and everyone else don't like if you reply that more than a few weeks old becuase it brings the pretty much dead thread back to the top of the list.

what is the point of the debug room?
this is probably a real dense question, so please keep the laughter to a minimum.

The point of the debug room is for the developers to be able to use it to debug (chase down glitches) the game when it is in development.  It allows them to jump to pretty much any part of the game they want, which makes the debug process faster.
