Making a new hard.dll is also a needed, since the game is already easy by itself. The other dlls break it even more.
Doubling the enemy's level (some even triple it) and increasing their speed would be great. You reach a point with haste and speed-J that makes most enemies dummies without a single chance to attack. With the working hp limit break, it's also better to increase enemies HP, attack and m-attack than crippling party's damage...

Blue magic % is a minor bug...

Might is a weird one. Zidane takes a step forward and nothing happens, no matter the animation I choose...

Cure is the problematic bug... I never touched the spell, it's place in the command list or it's "learnable" position... She can learn it and use it by main menu, just not in battle.

When you return from vacation can I send you my hws for you to check?

It's not only cure. It also affects cura, curaga and regen. And it's not about their position in the command list. Cure in the bottom of the list does not show and protect in the begining works.

Hey guys...

Another run through FF9 and having some fun with this tool...
Since I don't actually like any of the current mods available (way many abilities broken or badly implemented), I'm kinda cheating and removing some abilities from my least used chars to boost my preferred ones...

Since this will most likely break the difficulty of the game, is there anyone who has actually created a difficulty mod where I can import the monster data from? Like HP + 100% to all enemies and other boosts?

When I add a blue magic to a char pool and the respective item/weapon, they can equip it, use it, learn it, but the learn % never shows the actual numbers, just the progression bar. Any idea why?

More bugs found.
When I add Might to a char like zidane or steiner, no matter what animation I give them, it will never show.
Some changes with abilities apparently bug other ones. I never changed the cure spell or anything related to it, but dagger is unable to cast it in battle(it does not show in battle menu, despite being learned and cast through main menu...

Guess it's not the same as good old small but 70 pounds TVs...

Raw and dll addons work... Don't know if in the long run they will interfere with tonberry, but for now they are just fine...

Ok. Did some more testing and came with two conclusions:
- I am not sure if the hang really happened with 1 or 2 sword dance. I was not able to replicate this bug in these conditions.
- I was however able to replicate this in a battle with 2 sword dance and 1 hammer blast. If I kill the hammer blast first, the game hangs in every single attempt. If I kill a sword dance first, then the battle proceeds fine.

When I say "hang", the battle apparently goes on but the command box never shows. It's like a scripted scene or something was supposed to happen, but it just waits indefinitely.

I did not try running away thou, I will try it next time.

If there's any file I need to upload for you to look at let me know.

Hey there.

Having frequent hangs in the middle of a battle with these enemies (either in battles of 2 sword dance or 3 with a hammer blast). It does not freeze, they still have their animation and the music is still on, but nothing happens.
Using bootleg with updated aali driver + 7th heaven with a couple of models.

Any tips?

Found 3 posts already reporting this in bootleg and the hardcore mod, but none of them where answered.

Bootleg installs a couple hundred png's outside the folder structure then... There are quite a few on the mod root folder even...

Most mods are compatible, but not many have been converted for use with 7H. This thread should just be for information on the tool itself. We need a separate area for compatible mods, which I'm working on for a summer release  :)

Summer release? It's nearly a month from now :) I'll finish FF7 by then...
Anyway this tool seems to be the future for this awesome game. Best luck for your work.

Everything seems to work fine now.
Made my full bootleg install and backup.
Made a new ff7 install, up to 1.02, aali, hardcore mod, reunion, AH and all working fine.
Tested 7th heaven, working wonders.
Then replaced some of the major files, lgp for models and other stuff and the full bootleg mod png's folder, not replacing anything from reunion install (just some minor stuff colliding anyway).

Looks good so far.

Wonder how the mod folder must be organized... Is the png presence by itself enough to make aali driver replace it or does it need to be in a specific folder? What happens if two png's with the same name are present?

By the way, what's with the "textures" folder that bootleg installs on the root of ff7 dir?
